KENNET and AVON CANAL WORKS - NO SOUND
Contractors work on lock walls. Making new lock gates- Montage carpenters at work. Broken lock gates - week-infested water. Kennet & Avon Trust Organisers inspect original water-driven water pump that replenishes water in canal from the river Avon at Claverton. The pumps in this CLAVERTON PUMPING STATION are unique, being the only water-driven Cornish Beam pumps in the country - are being restored to original condition now, but entry very restricted to interior (no filming inside allowed yet). Working party cleaning canal etc. CVs Working in thick black mud. Crane & Bucket & Dumpers used to take away. Coleham Pumping station
Coleham pumping station in Shrewsbury. One of their open days when the engine is steamed.
The sewage pumping station was built at the end of the 19th century as part of a major upgrading of Shrewsbury's sewerage system. Two massive steam-driven beam engines were built by Renshaw's of Stoke-on-Trent during 1897-1898; and a brick building, resembling a Victorian chapel in style, was constructed in 1900 to house them. The pumping station was opened by the mayoress of Shrewsbury in 1901.
The steam-powered pumps were used until 1970, when new electric pumps were brought into use.

The engines of Brede pumping station
A spur of the moment visit to a nearby pumping station, where you will find a pair of grand old steam pumping engines. The engines usually run the first Saturday in the month, at the moment they are driven via compressed air but still a very impressive sight and a reminder of how Great Britain once led the way in engineering.

UK, England, Bath - Walking to the Roman Baths in to HD 1080p
The Roman Baths complex is a site of historical interest in the English city of Bath. The house is a well-preserved Roman site for public bathing.
The Roman Baths themselves are below the modern street level. There are four main features: the Sacred Spring, the Roman Temple, the Roman Bath House and the Museum holding finds from Roman Bath. The buildings above street level date from the 19th century.
The Baths are a major tourist attraction and, together with the Grand Pump Room, receive more than one million visitors a year,[1] with 1,037,518 people during 2009.[2] It was featured on the 2005 TV program Seven Natural Wonders as one of the wonders of the West Country. Visitors can see the Baths and Museum but cannot enter the water. An audio guide is available in several languages.
