Port Stephens Australia - The Best Port Stephens Day Trip with Colourful Trips
Port Stephens is the definition of paradise! Here a few reasons why we think you will love it… imagine sparkling waterways, pristine beaches, whales, dolphins, sharks and rays, bushwalking, sliding down sand dunes, spectacular sunsets and friendly people…. what’s not to love?!
Colourful Trips are very passionate about the Port Stephens region and have been running day trips to the area for years now. Every Wednesday and Saturday, we take a bus of excited travellers a couple of hours north of Sydney for a day of dolphin watching and sand boarding.

Little bonus: during the annual migration season (May to November), we give you the opportunity to upgrade to a whale watching tour. It is incredible seeing these gentle giants circling around the boat. It doesn’t matter if you’ve seen humpback whales before, it is still an unreal experience.
After our dolphin watching experience, we take you to the largest moving sand dune system in the world. Today you will try sand boarding! Slide down steep (don’t worry, they’re soft) sandy hills and enjoy the thrill. It’s time to live in the moment and enjoy yourself!
Our Port Stephens day tour departs Sydney every Wednesday and Saturday all year round. Port Stephens is a great place to escape the Big Smoke and take in the beauty New South Wales has to offer. Jenolan Caves Australia - The Best Jenolan Caves Day Trip with Colourful Trips
The Jenolan Caves are located in the Blue Mountains region and are regarded as some of the most impressive limestone caves in the world. Besides being the most ancient discovered open cave system in the world, the Jenolan Caves are well appreciated for their marine fossils and pure white calcite formations.
Colourful Trips love the Jenolan Caves and have been running day trips to the area for a long time. Our tours run every Thursday and Sunday and take travellers on an awesome road trip through the Blue Mountains National Park to the caves. It is also possible to combine your Jenolan Caves tour with a Blue Mountains day trip. In that case, you will sleep at a youth hostel in the Blue Mountains to save you travelling back and forth.
Travelling to the cave will make you feel like you’ve gone back in time. We travel down a winding mountain road deep into an isolated valley of Kananga Boyd National Park. The Jenolan Caves are approximately 340 million years old, hard to believe how old that actually is! Arrived at the caves, we have set you up with specialised guide to take you underground for an excellent tour experience. Explore cave chambers, climb through narrow walkways, and see the impressive stalagmites and stalactites.
We will also check out the mysterious Blue Lake. The surreal water of this lake is naturally coloured by the refraction of light upon the limestone deposits and bedrock. If you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a magical creature - the resident platypus!
Then we continue our journey and travel through the forest to the end of a dirt road where we usually spot wild kangaroos and wallabies! After checking out one of the Blue Mountains epic lookouts ‘Govetts Leap’, we this we start to make our way back to Sydney.
On our Colourful Trips Jenolan Caves day tour from Sydney, we will show you the best of the impressive cave system and more and more. We might be a little bit biased but it’s safe to say our tour is the most fun you can have exploring the Jenolan region..
