We have many cool attractions here including our world famous Blackpool Tower, the Pleasure Beach, three piers and a lovely sandy beach..
Blackpool is a relatively poor town that gets (unfairly in my opinion), a lot of bad press..
The aim of my channel is to show Blackpool in a better light..
No town or city is perfect so it's best to appreciate the good parts wherever you live :)
Also videos of areas surrounding Blackpool. going north we have Bispham, Cleveleys, maybe as far as Fleetwood and Knott End. In the other direction, going south we will be visiting St Annes and Lytham.

'Taboo Tuesdays' Comedy Night @ Crown Station - Charlotte,
From Crown Station's 'Taboo Tuesdays' comedy night, an end if the night 'freestyle' from 1 of the comedians and an audience member from Asheville, NC, who volunteered to come up and sing (and had an amazing voice). Unfortunately I didn't record the first 4-5 minutes; which was the best part. But I thought I'd share anyway.
If you live in Charlotte, come by Crown Station on Elizabeth Ave, near Charlottetown, Mon. - Sat. For comedy, karaoke on Monday's & music from some talented DJ's from Charlotte & the S.E. playing a variety of genres of drum & bass to house and more.

BOOTLE SADDLES - THE STORY LINE
Mr & Mrs James and their daughter Betty owned a guest house in Blackpool a seaside resort on the North West coast of England. They decide to sell up and with a very limited budget they build an American “Wild West” town of the 1880’s in rural England well away from the real thing for UK western enthusiasts to stay and re-live history along side their fantasies while on a budget.

BACKGROUND
Bootle Saddles first appeared on screen in 10th September 1984 and was originally pencilled in to appear on BBC1, at the time one of the UK’s two main channels. However an 8:30pm slot opened up on BBC2 and the broadcast date was brought forward while the series was still in production.
Unfounded reports since suggested that the series was the series was a disaster as only 6 episodes were made, these reports are untrue. Fact: The situation comedy was very successful for a new comedy series as by episode three from a standing start it was the most watched program on the entire channel where it remained until the series finished. (Officially recorded by the independent UK TV industry programs ratings). The episodes at end of the run were attracting 6 million while current established BBC situation comedies on the more popular BBC1 report figures less than half that.
This success had the BBC comedy department quickly ordering and paying for an additional Christmas special and another series of scripts. It remains unclear why the remaining scripts were not shot. Despite the look of the town it was expensive in TV situation comedy terms as the BBC chose to build it in a Derbyshire valley, a super location but a long way from the BBC TV Centres studios in London. Budget and cost cutting money issues in the BBC comedy department at the time may have played apart and at a guess it was likely to reduce viewer complaints to cancel a new comedy saving money to keep established comedies on screen.
