Commonwealth Park - Canberra Kids Activities
Commonwealth Park - Commonwealth Park extends between Commonwealth Avenue and Anzac Parade on the north side of the lake. Developed since the 1960s, it contains play areas, paddling pools, waterfalls, an amphitheatre and a path round the park. In summer there are weekly performances in the Sunday in the Park program, and annually in March the park is one of the venues of the Canberra Festival.

Buses at Lake Burley Griffin (Commonwealth Avenue) - Canberra Transport
In this video we see various buses at Lake Burley Griffin, an artificial lake in Canberra named after Walter Burley Griffin, the American architect who designed Canberra. This video was filmed on the Commonwealth Avenue bridge; which is the main road linking Canberra city (Civic) to Capital Hill and Canberra's south.
Here we primarily see various ACTION buses including Scania L94UB CNG's, MAN A69 18.320 HOCL-NL/E5's and Scania K320UB's. We also see a couple of QCity Transit buses and some coaches.
Regatta Point Trees, Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra - Australian Capital Territory, Australia
Just past the twin bridges (Commonwealth Avenue) over Lake Burley Griffin, there were numerous trees in flower - amazing, the grass was covered in the flowers which looked like cotton wool had exploded from pods. It felt like cotton wool too, so soft, and it was drifting on the breeze (everywhere). Some photos around Lake Burley Griffin, should you like to have a look -

[4K] Walking to the Australian War Memorial Part 1 - Canberra - Australia Tourism
A gorgeous day walk to the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. This Part 1 featuring the exterior of the Memorial.
The Australian War Memorial is Australia's national memorial to the members of its armed forces and supporting organisations who have died or participated in wars involving the Commonwealth of Australia, and some conflicts involving personnel from the Australian colonies prior to Federation. The memorial includes an extensive national military museum. The Australian War Memorial was opened in 1941, and is widely regarded as one of the most significant memorials of its type in the world.[citation needed]
The Memorial is located in Australia's capital, Canberra. It is the north terminus of the city's ceremonial land axis, which stretches from Parliament House on Capital Hill along a line passing through the summit of the cone-shaped Mount Ainslie to the northeast. No continuous roadway links the two points, but there is a clear line of sight from the front balcony of Parliament House to the War Memorial, and from the front steps of the War Memorial back to Parliament House.
The Australian War Memorial consists of three parts: the Commemorative Area (shrine) including the Hall of Memory with the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier, the Memorial's galleries (museum) and Research Centre (records). The Memorial also has an outdoor Sculpture Garden. The Memorial is currently open daily from 10am until 5pm, except on Christmas Day.
Many people include Anzac Parade as part of the Australian War Memorial because of the Parade's physical design leading up to the War Memorial, but it is maintained separately by the National Capital Authority (NCA).

Floriade 2018 - Canberra
Floriade 2018
This is by far the biggest display of flowers I have seen during Spring. I was very surprised there was no entry fee. This is our second time we have visited , well worth the drive from Sydney. The display of flowers is absolutely magnificent. You will also find rides for the kids, arts and craft shops, food shops street performers and our favorite the popcorn shop. We were there 2 hours after opening and there was quite a line up of cars waiting for a parking spot. There are plenty of places to park so don't worry, its just that the later you are the further it is to the entrance. We had our picnic lunch overlooking Lake Burley Griffin. If you missed it, the iconic Canberra event will run from Saturday 14 September until Sunday 13 October 2019.
