ART CLASSES IN UDAIPUR | INDIA VLOG #9
How to paint elephants when you can’t paint ????
_____________________________
This one is a more relaxed vlog, featuring one of the more chilled cities - Udaipur.
I also took a couple of days without my camera, and we went to see the City Palace.
Udaipur has definitely been a very calm place to be, and that break was much needed ????
Traveling for such a long time sure has its perks, but it also means we cannot afford to do crazy stuff every day or week.
I hope that you still enjoyed this video, although it certainly wasn’t as exciting as the days in Jaisalmer, or Jodhpur.
Have a great day and thanks for all your support so far ❤️

Varieties of traditional items and accessories sold out at an Emporium in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
Udaipur is also known as the City of Lakes, is a city, a Municipal Corporation and the administrative headquarters of the Udaipur district in the state of Rajasthan in western India. It is located 403 kilometres southwest of the state capital, Jaipur, 576 km southwest of Alwar, 248 km west of Kota, and 250 km northeast from Ahmedabad. Udaipur is the historic capital of the kingdom of Mewar in the former Rajputana Agency. The Sisodia clan of Rajputs ruled the Mewar and its capital was shifted from Chittorgarh to Udaipur after founding city of Udaipur by Maharana Uday Singh. The Mewar province became part of Rajasthan after India became independent
Apart from its history, culture, and scenic locations, it is also known for its Rajput-era palaces. The Lake Palace, for instance, covers an entire island in the Pichola Lake. Many of the palaces have been converted into luxury hotels. It is often called the Venice of the East, and is also nicknamed the Lake City. Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake, Udai Sagar and Swaroop Sagar in this city are considered some of the most beautiful lakes in the state.

Miniature Paintings of Udaipur
Miniature painting is one of the oldest art forms in India, dating back to the 11th century. Numerous erstwhile royal courts influenced this Indian art form and they used unique equipments to produce vivid paintings. Although now the art form is suffering a setback, few passionate artists along with exhibitions and galleries in India and abroad, are keeping the art alive.

Rare Arts in Udaipur - Knifemakers in Rajasthan, India
Mr. Jagdish Sikligar, the owner of Rare Arts in Udaipur, invited me for a visit to his family's blacksmith and knifemaker workshop. Led by his brother-in-law, 'modern Damascus' steel (i.e. pattern welded steel, which is manufactured in another workshop of the family) is transformed into all kind of knives, daggers, swords and so on.
I got the permission to film, so pl. enjoy my visit there - and thank You very much to Mr. Jagdish Sikligar and his family to give me an opportunity to do this little documentary!
