Tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco - Peru Vacation Packages
Sacred Valley Tour
The Sacred Valley follows the Urubamba river from the market town of Pisac, through the agricultural terraces that were once the engine room of the Inca empire and finishes at Ollantaytambo, an almost untouched Inca town, with an imposing temple looming over the valley.
The day starts with a walk through the Pisac markets. The town is swathed in white tarpaulins three days a week, under them stall holders compete to sell traditional artworks and textiles, huge wood fired ovens bake empanadas and guinea pigs, and the central plaza is filled with women selling fresh produce, with dozens of potato and corn varieties on show.
On the ridge above, the ruined fortress of Inca Pisac protects the southern end of the Sacred Valley while the Temple of the Sun shows the precision stonework Inca architects reserved for their most important religious buildings.
The road through the valley passes through the small towns of Coya, Lamay and Calca, and the larger center of Urubamba, surrounded on all sides by the astonishing andenes the agricultural terraces that fueled the Inca Empire, and gave the Andes mountain range its name.
The town Ollantaytambo gives an insight into the Inca way of life, with streets, houses and watercourses that survived the Spanish conquest.
The imposing ridge leading up to the stunning views from the Temple of the Sun is a string of gigantic terraces, a fortress strong enough to repel the Spanish. The unfinished temple at the top leaves you wondering how the Incas managed to move enormous rocks around the valley and up its ridges to shape them into precision stone walls by hand.

QUE LINDO ES EL VALLE SAGRADO DE LOS INCAS
Cusco - Huchuyqosqo - Lamay Inca Trail / Cusco - Peru
CAMINO INCA CUSCO HUCHUYQOSQO (1d) / (2d/1n)
Trekking / Adventure / Archeology

Cusco - Peru Travel
Now I am on the way to reach one of the biggest dreams in my life. To see Machupicchu.
Leaving Bolivia behind and crossing the border to Peru, I reached Cusco where I spent 4 days walking around to see the city and getting ready for the tracking to Machupicchu.
Cusco, a city in the Peruvian Andes, was once capital of the Inca Empire, and is now known for its archaeological remains and Spanish colonial architecture. Plaza de Armas is the central square in the old city, with arcades, carved wooden balconies and Incan wall ruins. The baroque Santo Domingo Convent was built on top of the Incan Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha), and has archaeological remains of Inca stonework.
Elevation: 3,399 m

PERU: Most BEAUTIFUL and PRIVATE Inca Trail Above the SACRED VALLEY ????| Peru 2019 Vlog
Peru Ep. 6 Part 1 ( con subtitulos)
We ventured on one of the most beautiful, and what seemed very PRIVATE Inca Trails. Not a tourist in site. Seriously, not a TOURIST in sight.
Join us, Tanya and Dave, in exploring one of the most beautiful and private Inca Trails above the Sacred Valley. We go from Patabamba to Huchuy Cusco, meeting a few new friends along the way, oh and Dave get's to you how he uses the Inca hunting tool. You might want to make sure you're wearing a helmet for that one.
Why did we do this? Well for one we love to explore the way the locals do, but also it's kind of the only way to get to the local family's house that we will be staying with. Yes, we'll be living like a local and we're so EXCITED.

Inti Raymi 2019 - Documental Completo - Cusco Perú TURISMOLOGOS

The Food and Drinks of Peru, A Sample
One of the real pleasures of my recent trip to Peru was that I was not only able to sample some of the best cuisine that the country has to offer, but that I was also able to get a look behind the scenes at the production of this food. A great starting point for exploring any country's cuisine is to see the markets where the ingredients are bought, and these places will often have some stalls offering excellent street food for a very reasonable price. Another special aspect of this trip is that because I was traveling and filming with the tour organizing company Cox and Kings, I was also able to see some of the chefs at work.
A very simple but popular dish that originated in Peru is ceviche, and this has now spread across much of South America, with each country having its own unique take on the dish of raw fish marinated in a blend of citrus juices and herbs. Simplicity is something that I saw in much of the cuisine of the country, and many of the street food that I tried was simple to prepare but was also absolutely delicious. From simple sauces and soups through to fried fruit and lovely cuts of meat well cooked, the markets were a real treasure trove of good food, and the range of fresh fruit and juices on offer were truly wonderful.
However, I was also fortunate enough to get a taste of what some of the best chefs in Peru are cooking, through from wonderful fish dishes and beautifully presented stuffed peppers to amazing desserts making the best of the country's produce. While some of the restaurants were producing great food, what impressed me most was the superb standard of food on the Andean Explorer, a luxury train which took us from Puno to Cusco. In this video you'll also see some of the chef's skills shown off in a fairly small galley on the train, and how he was able to produce some amazing dishes with only limited space available.
