Namesake - Aboriginal word for place of pink shells
Few fun facts about this vessel
1. This is the oldest commuter ferry in service in Australia which is about double the age of the Freshwater class ferries.
2. This vessel won the greater Sydney tourism award a couple of times
3. In 1985 this vessel ran aground in bad weather at Hungry Point - fortunately this vessel was able to save itself when a couple of waves floated this vessel back out to sea
4. Not really a fun fact but in 2016 Curranulla had a sharks livery
This vessel was built by Morrison and Sinclair of Balmain and was commissioned on the 12th May 1939 by which makes this its 80th anniversary of service. Curranulla was originally powered by 66-horse power 3-cylinder K3 hand start Kelvin diesel but has since been repowered by a 5LW Gardner
This vessel is very quiet as you may hear, even quieter than the Emerald class vessels. Also I did not hear any rattles from this vessel despite being of an old age. The rear of this vessel has an odd shape

Cronulla Cruises, Aboriginal Tour of Djeebahn (Port Hacking)
Welcome to 'Dharawal' country, or as our traditional owners called it 'Djeebahn' - the land and waters known today as Port Hacking and home of the 'Rainbow Serpent, 'Yulungur' -- the creator spirit.
Enter our dreaming, as we reveal our country and show you how we lived before European settlement took over our land. Learn about how we hunted and gathered bush foods and medicines and listen to stories about the local rock art that was painted and engraved on the escarpment, thousands of years ago, in the Royal National Park, Australia's oldest National Park.
Today we live by other sets of law, but importantly, we still live on the land we were born to.

There's a little beach town in the middle of National Park called Bundeena. We crossed Bundeena off the map. Heres what it looks like.
