Whistler Bike Park and Vancouver Street
Mega trip to whistler bike park and riding street trials in Vancouver, B.C. This summer I haven't ridden as much as I wanted to due to a broken wrist. Only one enduro race and almost no time on the trials bike over the last 2 years, so when the chance came up to spontaneously join a trip to Whistler the mountain bike mecca with a downhill crew from Munich I jumped at the chance and packed both my enduro and trials bike into one bag and headed over to Canada. 10 days riding the most awesome trails in Whistler Bike Park followed by catching up with some Friends in Vancouver for a few days of trials in the city. After a long time off the bike my riding wasn't great but who cares if your having a lot of fun which is the main reason we ride bikes right?!
Enjoy the video, hit that subscribe button and leave some comments down below! My next trip is already being planned so stay tuned!

Whistler, British Columbia (August 2010)
By sheer coincidence, my company organised an off-site meeting in Whistler, the same venue as our family vacation last year. But who am I to complain :-)
On the first couple of days, I joined Richie Schley's Mountain Bike Adventures to refine my downhill skills on a Kona Stinky, and so reacquainted with my favourite trails Crank It Up and A-Line.
And an adventure it was with riding (sliding!) in snow, beautiful views and a broken ankle by one of the riders, faithfully captured on video.
Then I rented a Specialized Enduro from the nice folks at Cross Country Connection and did some nice cardio climbs and technical cross country trails with Alex Relf from the Four Seasons.

Three world class mountain bikers, James Doerfling, Tom van Steenbergen, and Kyle Norbraten follow the Fraser River north through Canada, building and riding features along the way. Their trek takes them past their hometowns, towards unridden territory and an unknown destination that holds a secret.
Needless to say, the boys shred f***ing HARD. Feast your eyes on some of the banger moments from the film, and be sure to watch the full thing on Red Bull TV!

Ski Touring in the Callaghan, Whistler, British Columbia VLOG #1
Vlogging is a bit of a test for me. I've really enjoyed watching other peoples VLOG episodes because they feel more real and less contrived compared to conventional mainstream video (90% of my videos follow this style I'm questioning).
I am also working on a professional adventure series (not a vlog) that gives a behind the scenes look of how we film and explore remote destinations in British Columbia. So I guess this is also a good practice for being in front of the camera as I'm normally just behind it.
In this episode we went ski touring/ split boarding near Whistler, British Columbia. The area we were planning on going to was a lot further than I originally thought. I also ran into some pretty classic GoPro battery issues. Because it was about -16 each battery lost it's charge within minutes of turning on.
On the plus side the DJI Mavic Drone seemed to handle very well in the cold and I managed to capture some pretty awesome drone shots along the way. It's so great to have a drone that is so compact to actually be able to carry on missions like this where all your gear, food and water needs to fit into a backpack.
Thanks for watching guys and please let me know in the video description what you think of my first VLOG attempt!
Ski Traverse of the Spearhead Range at Whistler BC
Five of us did a four day backcountry ski traverse at Whistler BC over the Easter weekend in April 2011. We started by taking the ski lifts up Blackcomb Mountain. We then traversed through the Spearhead Range to the headwaters of Fitzimmons Creek. From there we skied over the Musical Bumps to Whistler Mountain.
This is a very popular trip that is normally done in three days although many people do it in a long day in good conditions.

Opposites Attract: Brendan Fairclough and Nino Schurter ride the EWS final in Finale Ligure, Italy.
SCOTT athletes Nino Schurter and Brendan Fairclough couldn't be more different with regards to riding styles or background. But when you get the current XCO World Champion and one of the most stylish riders on the downhill circuit on a bike, everything falls into place. Even though Nino's favorite sections are the ones that Brendan is less than fond of, there is plenty of common ground where the two are secretly trying to one up each other. After only a short amount of time their friendship has grown and the constant discussions of everything under the sun provides for a wealth of world class insider-information. It's funny how a bicycle can bridge the gap between such different people, and can lead to a mutually beneficial competitive environment.
Two worlds merge into one-- and the Genius LT 700 Tuned is truly the tool that creates this connection. It was built for Enduro racing performance and all mountain riding. With 170 mm of travel on the fork and shock, this bike descends with ease. Coupled with our patented TwinLoc lever, you'll be climbing up the most technical sections like a mountain goat at the flick of a switch. Additionally, the Genius LT is one of the lightest bikes in its class, weighing in at only 12.4 kg (27.34 lbs). We built this bike to be versatile and capable of taking a beating- perfect for the downhiller who wants to hit technical single-track and perfect for a three-time XCO World Champion who just wants to let loose down the hill. Sit back, relax and enjoy this Parkin Brothers edit about a race format and a bike that brings these two opposites together.

Also not covered is ski pressure. You can either adjust fork height, fork spring weight, or the strut rod length. Not much else beyond that besides maybe shimming the ski as well.

Best Whistler Winter Sports
Whistler is one of the best ski towns in the world! It has everything you need in terms of terrain, various options of skiing and snowboarding, and town atmosphere. It was one of the main spots in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and has an infrastructure at the top of it's class among world ski resort towns.
On this trip, we explored the town of Whistler, skid the Whistler Blackcomb mountains and also cross country skied at Lost Lake. Needless to say, this was a snow adventure to remember in Canada!
Here are a few other helpful links for things to do in Whistler in the winter
