Culebra, Puerto Rico: May 13, 2013 Robert Garriel videotaped a newborn manatee near the entrance to Caño Bruley, Culebra National Wildlife Refuge mangroves on Culebra. This area is less than 400m from the historic area known as Lower Camp. Robert began taking video with his phone - He captured video of what appears to be a newborn baby manatee. Robert his wife Debbie observed three adults with the baby in the area. The little one had to surface frequently for air and Robert said he saw the mother supporting the baby at the surface.

The waters the two large ships anchor in is listed critical habitat to protect corals, sea turtles and is littered with bombs from past military practice. PR Secretary of Natural Resources indicates Sea Dream is not authorized by DRNA to anchor on the Refuge Cay. Culebrita's waters are a refuge to endangered corals, sea turtles and are littered with Unexploded Ordinance....waters are hazardous for anchors.

Welcome in my channel I need vacations, I’m currently traveling in the Caribean, This is Puerto Rico, this is Culebra Island and this small island is Culebrita and I’m taking you there today.
if you watching my video first time, this is Part 3 of my video in Puerto Rico where im searching for perfect beach.
In my previous video I’ve meet guys from Dubai and we are sharing the cost of water taxi which is 300 USD. In the description of the video I will leave contact number of the owner of the boat if you wish to go to Culebrita and enjoy the time.
We have arrived to a perfect beach, it is not hard to realised that its not only breathtaking pretty but also we are alone. I’ve been on the search for many days this and is my reward, it is 10 out of 10 and it was worth to come here.
We are arriving to the Tortuga beach and we are alone, the beach is just perfect, nice sand and clear water. The plan is very simple, enjoy and relax at the beach, do some snorkelling, and explore the island. we will go around the island to see all the corners, this is not hard because the width is around 1 mile and length about the same.
After couple of hours chilling at beach we decide to go around the island, I need shoes and drone to give you better picture how beautiful is this island. This video is not typical vlog, my goal is to show you how the nature of Culebrita island.
Culebrita Island has got 6 beaches and 2 lagoons, the whole place is a national wildlife refuge, strictly no camping, all plants and animals are protected.
Trip to find a best 10 out of 10 beach in Puerto Rico has finished. I’m happy with the results because I have found in my opinion perfect beach. My next stop is British Virgin Islands. They are called Virgin but there are people living here. My goal is to show you around all the beast beaches in Caribean, stay tune and subscribe to my channel. place a comment which is your favourite beach.

Caribbean Islands Wildlife in Peril
The Caribbean Islands National Wildlife complex is comprised of nine refuges in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Jamaica Passage.
The nine refuges are Cabo Rojo, Culebra, Desecheo, Buck Island, Green Cay, Sandy Point, Laguna Cartagena, Navassa and Vieques. Each unit has a unique composition of plant and animal species.

We spend the night at Culebrita. A small, uninhabited island off the eastern coast of Culebra, Puerto Rico and is part of the Puerto Rico Archipelago. I hike up in the evening and morning to the light house, find some goats, an incredible beach with zero people, and enjoy the views.

Just a few miles off the eastern coast of Culebra is a little island called Culebrita, which means little Culebra and translates to little snake It is a nature reserve and is part of the Culebra National Wildlife Refuge. The island is home to a massive lighthouse, one of the oldest lighthouses in the Caribbean. This island is only accessible by private boat from the main island of Culebra, just a few hours sail away.
Culebrita is a coral island approximately 1 mile in length. It is roughly y-shaped with three branches extending from the island's center.
There are six beaches on Culebrita, the chief one being Playa Tortuga (Turtle Beach) on the north side of the island. The beach is named for the many sea turtles that use the beach for breeding grounds and the surrounding waters for grazing. The other two large beaches are Treasure Beach and Snorkel Beach. Because Treasure Beach is located on the windward side of the island, debris is often blown onto this beach and this is how the beach gets its name. Snorkel Beach is where the water taxis from Culebra Island come to drop off those visiting the island.
There are also large tidal pools on the east side of the island where you can go lounge as if they were large baths. The pools trap small sea life at low tide.
