ST PADDYS GRAVE + Direwolves | St Patrick Northern Ireland | GOT Vlog
Northern Ireland magic - the Game Of Thrones Direwolves and St Patricks grave in one day! GOT & St Pats in 1 Vlog is like...⬇ Click 'Show More' ✈ Learn to travel full-time:
This is our last day in Northern Ireland and in this vlog we got the chance to check out some awesome Game of Thrones sites and also meet the actual Direwolves from GOT. They're dogs known as Thor and Odor in real life but on the Game of Thrones show they were small wolves that grew in to being bad azz wolf dudes.
We also explored deeper into Northern Ireland and went to the grave site of St Patrick, aka St Paddy or St Pats or St Patty - everyone knows of him for various different reasons. In a town called Downpatrick is the grave of St Patrick and we had the chance to travel there and film for this vlog.
It really does feel like Northern Ireland is the home of Game Of Thrones, even more so than Croatia and their GOT claim to fame. Especially with the chance to meet the wolf / wolves of GOT it definitely made this day in particular a little more special. Even if you don't know the direwolves or never seen Game of Thrones, Ireland and Northern Ireland have so much more going on that you really should make it fit your travel plans.

Queen accompanies ministers on tour of former Belfast prison, visits set of Game of Thrones
Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh have visited the notorious former prison in Belfast, once synonymous with the years of conflict in Northern Ireland.
The Royal couple toured C wing of the old Crumlin Road prison, on the second day of their three day visit to Northern Ireland, accompanied by Stormont's first and deputy first ministers.
Both politicians were held prisoners at the old Crumlin Road jail.
Sinn Fein's Martin McGuinness, a former IRA commander, was detained there for more than a month in 1976, while Democratic Unionist Party leader Peter Robinson jailed there on a number of occasions in the 1980s.
As they arrived, the Queen and Prince Phillip were greeted by members of the public waving Union flags outside the 19th Century building which has been transformed into into visitor's attraction
Inside, the Royal couple were welcomed by officials, dignitaries and community representatives.
The Queen signed the visitor's book and received flowers.
Prince Phillip was given a bottle of Danny Boy Irish whisky.
The Royal couple's symbolic visit comes after the Queen held a ten minute private audience with Mr McGuinness at Hillsborough Castle on Monday evening.
It was the third encounter between the Queen and, McGuinness but the first on a one-to-one basis.

It's finally here!
A media project/documentary which contributed to my Higher Media piece, achieving a B-grade.
It took over 3 months to create, edit, film, plan and finalise for the film/documentary to be completed.
Of course, I wish to make essentially clear, although biased towards the British-side of the conflict, I wish for it to be seen merely as a small project with no significant influence. Any comments which relate to said conflict to stir argument or conflict, will be removed.

Sam is studying in Winterfell's library when Queen Daenerys Targaryen and Ser Jorah Mormont come to visit him. Daenerys thanks the man that saved Jorah's life from greyscale and asks if she can offer him anything in return. Sam requests a pardon for stealing books from the Citadel, as well as borrowing his family's sword, Heartsbane. Hearing this, Daenerys realizes that Sam is the son of Randyll Tarly and informs him that his father refused to bend the knee and was executed. Sam is shaken by the news of his father's death, but jokes that at least his brother will allow him to return to Horn Hill. When Daenerys reveals that Dickon was also executed, however, Sam is visibly upset and chokes back some tears. He then asks to leave the library to gather his composure.

What You Didn't Know About The Game Of Thrones Actors!
Things you didn’t know about the Game of Thrones cast! Watch this video to discover crazy facts about the HBO show Game of Thrones and the GoT actors that you didn’t know!
8. Nikolaj Coster
This Game of Thrones one-handed wonder is one of the most popular characters on the show, especially since he’s a bad-guy-turned-good-guy that you just can’t help but like. Coster has been acting since the early 1990s and first gained recognition in his home country of Denmark in the movie Nightwatch. It wasn’t until the 2001 movie Black Hawk Down that Coster began his career in the United States. Besides his part in Game of Thrones, this actor has been in various films, including The Other Woman, in which he starred with Cameron Diaz. Coster is married to an actress and model from Greenland, and they have two kids together. But, during filming with Diaz, they posted various photos together on Instagram while they were on the set of the movie. Of course, some fans jumped to the conclusion that Coster was cheating on his wife with Diaz. One extremely concerned fan even wrote his wife a letter to inform her of the “affair.” Luckily for everyone involved, she laughed off the letter altogether as she was well-aware of the film.
7. Iwan Rheon
Some characters drive you to madness and loathing, and one of the most hated on Game of Thrones is Ramsay Bolton / Snow. You probably wouldn’t have guessed that this actor almost played the part of Jon Snow. But, after his audition, they decided he’d be best for Ramsay. However, Iwan is nothing like the cruel and unusual person he portrays in the HBO series. There were even some instances where playing Ramsay was uncomfortable for him, but Rheon admitted that the character is intriguing despite his barbarity. Outside of Game of Thrones, this star has been singing and writing music since he was sixteen years old. He was the lead singer of a band called The Convictions and recorded his first record in 2010. Rheon also acted in Misfits, Vicious, Inhumans, Riviera, and the 2019 film The Dirt.

Friends of the University of New Haven Library:Dr.Dowd & Debies-Carl - Winter is Coming to Ireland
This video is from the University of New Haven's Friends of the University of New Haven Library speaker series. This discussion from March 23, 2017 featured Dr. Christopher Dowd and Dr. Jeffrey Debies-Carl and was entitled Winter is Coming to Ireland: Game of Thrones and the Reimagining of Irish Tourism.
A recent boom in tourism in Northern Ireland has been the result of invitations (as one tourism site puts it) “to Journey to the Heart of Westeros”, the fictional world depicted in HBO’s Game of Thrones, which films in and around Belfast. In this lecture, Dr. Dowd and Dr. Debies-Carl consider how tourists are physically traveling to Ireland as a means of imaginatively traveling to a fantasy world. Ireland has served as a fantastical imaginative space in literature and art before, but here is an example of that imaginative fantasy version of Ireland intersecting with the real world—including the Irish economy and government--in a more tangible way than has ever happened before.
