San Miguel de Allende, Mexico | 7-Minute Saturday Walk
Walk with me through the historic heart of UNESCO World Heritage Site San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, up Calle Aldama!
On this quick weekend tour, we'll tackle a slight incline, possible Instagrammers, cobblestones, and a camera that can't seem to decide where to focus. With all of the natural and architectural beauty, you can't blame it — I have difficultly focusing too.
Listen to the fireworks pop after we start at Parque Benito Juárez, pass the home of one of the best restaurants in SMA, the Hotel Matilda, and quickly make our way to the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel — the sherbert-pink church that's one of the city's most instantly recognizable buildings — just as its bells begin to peal.
No talking. No overlayed music.
Date of walk: September 21, 2019

We found the most interesting cafe in downtown San Miguel de Allende! Inside Cafe in downtown San Miguel had quite a story to share.
We learned from the owner what do you call a New Zealander, where to go for the best market, how this couple ended up in San Miguel de Allende, and the love stories behind their cafe. Plus, we tour the Artisan Market and more in this cultured, artistic, and incredibly clean town in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico.
*Typo correction! The correct spelling is NEW ZEALANDER not Zelander (forgot the A!)
