20 Things to do in Glasgow, Scotland Travel Guide
Join us for this travel guide to Glasgow, Scotland as we highlight 20 of the best things to do in Glasgow including visiting distilleries, trendy restaurants, hopping pubs, fascinating museums and more attractions.
This is our second time visiting Glasgow, UK and our city guide is a combination of footage from our visit this year and last year. Glasgow has a thriving food scene (both Scottish food and International) and we give you a thorough food tour as we bite our way around the city.
In terms of major attractions Glasgow (Glaschu) doesn't have many iconic places to visit as nearby Edinburgh; however, I feel one of the advantages it has over Edinburgh is that the city is more spread out and each neighborhood has a distinct character.
One of our favorite places to visit was the University of Glasgow which has a campus that would make Harry Potter proud. Whether we were visiting breweries or distilleries or having seafood for lunch or dinner we found no shortage of things to do in Glasgow, Scotland.
Now let's explore Glasgow (Glesga) together!

20 Things to do in Glasgow, Scotland travel guide video transcript:
In today’s video we’re going to be showing you around Glasgow, Scotland. This is a city that we visited last autumn and then again this summer, and on both visits, we ate like kings and queens because it turns out, Glasgow is a great destination for foodies.
Since we never got around to making a travel guide on our first visit, today we’re going to be combining the footage from both of those trips to show you some of the best things to do in Glasgow and also some of the best places to eat and drink it. So let’s get started!
And that’s a wrap for our visit to Glasgow, Scotland. We loved our two visits and we’d gladly return for a 3rd. This is an amazing city for foodies and there are so many great bars, restaurants, breweries, and distilleries to visit.
Also FYI - if you’re already visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow is just a short 50-minute train ride away, and it’s a city with its own unique vibe.
If there are any other fun things to do in Glasgow that you’d like to share with travellers, feel free to leave your suggestions in the comments below. Wishing you happy travels!
This is part of our Travel in Scotland video series showcasing Scottish food, Scottish culture and Scottish cuisine.

Chocolate & Scottish Whisky Together?? | Dewars Aberfeldy Distillery Tour | Perth, Scotland [Ad]
Scottish whisky is world renowned but with chocolate? Today we head to Dewars Aberfeldy Distillery for a tour to see why Scotland is known for it's whisky and pair with chocolate! ⬇ More Below ⬇
Welcome back to Scotland! Today we wanted to learn more about why Scottish whisky is so well known, so we head to Dewars Aberfeldy for a distillery tour and tasting with chocolate pairings and what a day!
Whisky from Scotland is world renowned and we can understand why now. The distillery tour was eye opening to see how meticulous the process is and the love that goes into every bottle. We're honestly not big spirit drinkers but Dewars definitely positioned their distillery tour and whisky tasting to us in a way that was much more approachable - with chocolate! It's crazy how much the chocolate changes the profile of the whisky and now we're both a lot more open to whisky.
Having all the notes listed in front of us helped with the tasting as well, to an untrained drinker (us both haha) we really feel like our eyes are open to whisky now and will be looking for the Scottish magic around the world.

Glasgow Distillery Co. marks return of single malt Scotch to city after 112 years
The production of single malt whisky has returned to Glasgow after an absence of more than 100 years, it was revealed yesterday (Tues). Craft spirits producer, The Glasgow Distillery Company, launched its first spirit, Makar Gin, last year and is now branching out into the whisky market. The company recently acquired its state-of-the-art distillation equipment, including a wash and spirit stills. Drinks industry veterans Liam Hughes and Ian McDougall decided to launch the company after realising there was growing interest in the UK for craft drinks and a market gap in Glasgow.

Scotland Distillery Tours | The Girl with Beer

SCOTCH WHISKY EXPERIENCE
We do the Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh, Scotland. It's located right on the Royal Mile near Edinburgh Castle in Old Town. The Scotch Whisky Experience is good times and you learn all about whiskey as well as get a chance to blend your own scotch whisky if that's something that interests you. After we saw the world's largest whisky experience and obviously left feeling pretty good.
The Scotch Whisky experience is something I'd recommend to people spending some time in Edinburgh but go with a fun group, it will make the tour that much better.

The first thing my eyes here ttuin soda Scotland. Deoburuk be grown hairs wound around it as far as the eye has a peculiar appearance. Duff town located in the heart of the Speyside region. Small town of 1000 people, but the brightness is not known why, because whiskey. Just as the place was opened and the whiskey festival that starts in May. This is the first time touched away where my first whiskey fair. Visitors to yiyagikkot smokes while sipping a whiskey that is produced in this region. Duff that there will be one flock whiskey distillery in the town 50 yeogot. So whether I could meet the manifold whiskey here. Who are the joyful expression that the alcohol is in everyone. I wonder why it became especially if a lot of whiskey production in the region. The area has been the main ingredient of a good barley to create whiskey since ancient times. There is a very good water in this area also, can it be said to have also got to make a critical component of Scotch whiskey.

With more than 600.000 inhabitants Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland. Most of the historical sights and buildings as well as a number of large murals are located in the center making it easy to explore the city by walking. Another great thing is that most of the museums are free of charge.
One of the highlights for me was the Glasgow Necropolis, a Victorian cemetery located on a very prominent hill to the east of Glasgow Cathedral.
I met up with Kathi who lives in Glasgow for more than 4 years to get to know the trendy parts of the city such as the Hidden Lane in Finnieston and the SWG3 followed by one of the must things to do in Glasgow - ia proper whiskey experience and a night out with live music!
