Disney Dream | Swimming With Dolphins In Nassau, Bahamas
Yep you read that title right!!! I was just as shocked as you were when I found out we got to swim with real life dolphins at Balmoral Island (oppose to fake ones lol) , but all jokes aside what an amazing day today!
We got to ride the Aqua Duck and race down as fast as we could. WE got to swim with Dolphins and do a bus tour stopping off at various local spots in Nasssau Bahamas.
Expect a full review of Things To Do In Nassau in the future because now that we have the inside scoop I can't WAIT to go back!

Swimming with wild dolphins in the Bahamas
On one summer day while snorkeling on the reef in the Bahamas a pod of atlantic bottle nose dolphin swam up and decided to join us for well over an hour. While there have been numerous occasions when these mammals have interacted with us over the years this instance was most special because of the connection between my young niece and the mother dolphin as you will see in the footage.. This is a compilation of highlights from the lengthy footage we compiled..

Our family meeting Cacique, the Dolphin. This was our favorite port adventure on our Disney Cruise. The folks at Blue Lagoon are awesome! They are friendly and very knowledgeable about the Dolphins, Sea Lions and other Marine life in the Bahamas. It was so much fun interacting with Cacique! He was like a big, well trained, playful dog.

During this unforgettable excursion you'll learn about dolphins at the Interactive Learning Center. Once you arrive to Atlantis, watch an informative video and listen to a marine mammal specialist. Race alongside dolphins, cruise along the surface, or dive to the depths of the saltwater lagoon on your hand-held scooter, while you control your own speed! Explore this wide-open dolphin playground and enjoy Dolphin Cay's signature 'foot push,' where dolphins propel you across the lagoon on a boogie board for a rush unlike any you've experienced. You'll be provided with a snorkel and mask. You'll also receive an Atlantis map, which will allow you to take a self-guided tour at your leisure of the Ruins Lagoon, a recreation of the sunken streets of mythical Atlantis and the Dig, a replica of an archaeological excavation site. Enjoy complimentary soft drinks while sunbathing at Dolphin's Cay private beach. Note: Participants must be at least 10 years of age and a minimum height of 3 feet. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women. Wear comfortable shoes as there is a considerable amount of walking once at the resort. Guests must be able to swim in deep water without support vests or assistance. Wetsuits, personal lockers, beach towels and soft drinks are provided. Wetsuits are mandatory. This tour has access to Dolphin Cay private beach to sunbathe and watch the dolphins only; however swimming is not available. This tour is non-refundable. Dolphin Observer tickets are sold onboard only. The transportation for this tour is by bus, approximately 25-minutes each way depending on traffic conditions. Guests participating on an Atlantis Shore Excursion must arrive at the place and time stated on the Shore Excursion ticket. Atlantis tour tickets will not be honored at the resort. There is a considerable amount of walking on this tour (approximately 0.4 miles). To ensure availability, dolphin excursions must be booked no later than 24 hours prior to the port call. Last minute sales will not be available. Duration of tour may vary.

Dad and I enjoyed an amazing time with these beautiful girls. Best part of our Caribbean Cruise. When the dolphins swam up behind to give us a foot push, it was the greatest thrill!

Swimming With Dolphins in Nassau | Episode 3 Bahama Excursion to Blue Lagoon
Our final port along the 5 day Carnival Ecstacy itinerary was a stop in Nassau, on the New Providence Island. This island is known for its mega resort, Atlantis, but is also home to many celebrities and many other adventures. I read up on Atlantis and a 5 hour shore excursion just did not seem worth it so we opted for a private island getaway swimming with dolphins. An hour or so in the water with dolphins, a great buffet lunch, and the rest of the time on the island to do as you please, we could not have been happier with this adventure. The staff and crew truly made this an unforgettable experience and this will definitely be a spot we return to. Thank you to Dion and the rest of his crew at Blue Lagoon for an awesome experience!
