Whale Sharks Feeding On Krill Sabah Borneo
Every year our sea temperature drops and visibility reduces with the vertical migration of Krill (Euphausiacea). Brilliant red & visible from the surface, Krill are an important food source for Whale Sharks.
The whale shark (Rhincodon typus) is a slow-moving, filter-feeding carpet shark and the largest known extant fish species.
Join us during the month of March & April which is our peak season for Krill and enjoy the fact that these amazing sharks might just be nearby and you could very well have an encounter like you will see in the video.
All video footage was shot in March 2018 in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park by Richard Swann - PADI Platinum Course Director & Managing Director at Downbelow Marine & Wildlife Adventures.
