Driving Downtown - Montgomery Alabama USA - Season 1 Episode 9.
Starting Point: Commerce St
Montgomery is the capital of the U.S. state of Alabama and is the county seat of Montgomery County. Named for Richard Montgomery, it is located on the Alabama River, in the Gulf Coastal Plain. As of the 2010 Census, Montgomery had a population of 205,764. It is the second-largest city in Alabama, after Birmingham, and the 103rd largest in the United States. The Montgomery Metropolitan Statistical Area had a 2010 estimated population of 374,536. It is the fourth-largest in the state and 136th among United States metropolitan areas.
The city was incorporated in 1819, as a merger of two towns situated along the Alabama River. It became the state capital in 1846, representing the shift of power to the south-central area with the growth of cotton as a commodity crop of the Black Belt and Mobile's rise as a mercantile port. In February 1861, Montgomery was selected as the first capital of the Confederate States of America, until the seat of government moved to Richmond, Virginia, in May of that year. During the mid-20th century, Montgomery was a major site of events in the African-American Civil Rights Movement, including the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the Selma to Montgomery marches.
In addition to housing many Alabama government agencies, Montgomery has a large military presence due to Maxwell Air Force Base; public universities Alabama State University, Troy University (Montgomery campus), and Auburn University at Montgomery; private colleges/universities Faulkner University and Huntingdon College; high-tech manufacturing, including Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama; and cultural attractions such as the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.
Two ships of the United States Navy have been named after the city, including USS Montgomery (LCS-8).
Montgomery has won several national awards including being voted Best Historic City by USA Today, being named an All-America City in 2014 by the National Civic League, being named a Top City For Job Growth in 2014 by ziprecruiter.com, and being named the happiest city in Alabama. Montgomery has also been recognized nationally for its successful, and ongoing downtown revitalization and new urbanism projects with Montgomery having been one of the first cities in the nation to implement Smart Code Zoning.

Manchester, New Hampshire Community Video Tour
- Manchester is the largest city in New Hampshire. The city of almost 110,000 residents is divided by The Merrimack River and is the financial, political and cultural center for the state. In 2009 CNNMoney.com rated Manchester 13th in a list of the 100 best cities to live and launch a business in the United States.
One of the architectural highlights of Manchester are its historic red brick mills, many of which have been renovated for other uses. The Amoskeag Manufacturing Company was a textile manufacturer which founded Manchester, New Hampshire. From modest beginnings in near wilderness, it grew throughout the 19th century into the largest cotton textile plant in the world. At its peak, Amoskeag was unrivaled both for the quality and quantity of its products. But with great size came an inability to adapt. In the early 20th century, the business failed in changing economic and social conditions. Segway, the University of New Hampshire and other software and high tech companies occupy the restored buildings. Restaurants and loft apartments are also prominent. Manchester's 19th century affluence left behind some of the finest Victorian commercial, municipal and residential architecture in the state of New Hampshire.
Manchester's many cultural landmarks include the historic Palace Theatre, the Currier Museum of Art, the New Hampshire Institute of Art, the Franco-American Center, the Manchester Historic Association, Millyard Museum, the Massabesic Audubon Center, the Amoskeag Fishways Learning Center, and the SEE Science Center. The Verizon Wireless Arena, opened in 2001, hosts a variety of sporting and entertainment events, including hockey and football games, rock concerts and fairs. The New Hampshire Fisher Cats and the Northeast Delta Dental Stadium are located right downtown.
Housing in Manchester ranges from Historic North End Mansions to chic condominiums to funky loft apartments, and everything in between.
Thousands of children and adults have enjoyed skiing and snowboarding at the McIntyre Ski for decades.
Manchester is located between Nashua and Concord and is at the crossroads of all the major highways in New Hampshire. The Manchester•Boston Regional Airport (MHT) is one of the fastest growing airports in the country and services consumers in four states.

Richmond, Virginia 2019's Top 5 Best Views Drone Video
Virginia General Assembly formed in 1619, now the United States’ oldest legislative body. Richmond is the third city to serve as Virginia's capital and when the Union captured the city, the Civil War ended five days later. In the capital gardens stand monuments to Virginia natives Stonewall Jackson, Governor William Smith, and Senator Harry Byrd. George Washington’s monument is surrounded by other American heroes and Virginia’s powerful Civil Rights Memorial commemorates Barbara Rose Johns and leaders who helped desegregate Virginia schools.
James River flows 350 miles from the Appalachian Mountains to Chesapeake Bay. In pre-colonial times, Native Americans called it Powhatan River. English colonists named it after King James the First when founding Jamestown in 1607. It served as a major highway in Virginia’s infancy and facilitated the tobacco boom that further drove America’s immigration. Today, the river is home to a booming industry of paddle boating, kayaking, and white water rafters looking to ride rapids. It envelops Belle Isle, which houses an abandoned hydroelectric power plant. This power plant now in ruins opened in 1904 and powered the United States’ first trolley system in Richmond. It closed in 1967 and has since fallen back to nature; but like the many daredevil graffiti artists that jumped the boulders before you, you can see it yourself after a short climb. Explore both buildings during the day for the street art and then stick around till midnight to see what happens. Just don’t get caught.
These hundreds of acres which make up Hollywood Cemetery were purchased for just $4,000 in 1846 and led to the creation of one of America's most historic memorial grounds. These lands are the final resting place to more Confederate soldiers than any other site, numbering more than 18,000. The President of the Confederacy, Jefferson Davis, is buried here beneath a life-size statue. A monument to John Tyler, the 10th US President is the nation’s only official memorial, due to his betrayal for the Confederacy. The 5th US President, James Monroe, rests in a birdcage-shaped granite sarcophagus at the center of the cemetery's President's Circle.
Built in 1893 by James and Sallie Dooley, this 100-acre Gilded Age estate was left to the City of Richmond upon the couple’s death. It features an arboretum, stable and carriage collection. Tours inside the mansion are available during the week and the opulence is truly unmatched by estates of the period. The Italian Garden features a pergola, fountains, urns and rose arrangements. The Japanese Garden is home to huge Koi fish and a 35-foot waterfall.
During the Civil War, Petersburg was the main base of supply for Richmond, the capitol of the Confederate States of America. Ulysses S. Grant knew that if he took Petersburg, he could cut off the three railroads which led to Richmond. Before a nine-month siege, Union troops dug a tunnel behind Confederate lines and packed it with gun powder. The explosion killed 278 troops and led to the Battle of the Crater. Check out our Petersburg Battlefield video for the full version of this incredible story. Here it is:

Driving Downtown - Miami's South Beach 4K - USA
Driving Downtown Neighborhoods - South Beach - Miami Beach Florida USA - Episode 2.
Starting Point: Washington Avenue - Neighborhood: .
South Beach, also nicknamed SoBe, is a neighborhood in the city of Miami Beach, Florida, United States.
History
Before the days of Miami Vice, South Beach was considered a very poor area with a very high rate of crime. Today, it is considered one of the wealthiest and most prosperous commercial areas on the beach. Despite this, poverty and crime still exist in some isolated places surrounding the area.[9]
In 2009, Natalie O'Neill of the Miami New Times said, Until the 1980s, Miami Beach was a peculiar mix of criminals, Cubans, and little old ladies. Then the beautiful people moved in.[10] In the late 1980s, a renaissance began in South Beach, with an influx of fashion industry professionals moving into the area. In 1989, Irene Marie purchased the Sun Ray Apartments (famous for the chainsaw scene in Scarface) and opened Irene Marie Models - the first international full-service modeling agency in Florida. Many of the large New York-based agencies soon followed.
Thomas Kramer is credited with starting the construction boom in South Beach, driving the gentrification of the area. It is now a popular living destination for the wealthy. Condominium units in the upscale high rises sell for millions. There are a number of vocal critics of the developments. The high-rise and high-density buildings are derided as a concrete jungle. However, even critics concede that the development has changed the area into a pedestrian friendly, low-crime neighborhood.[11][12] Today
In both daytime and at nightfall, the South Beach section of Miami Beach is a major entertainment destination with hundreds of nightclubs, restaurants, boutiques and hotels. The area is popular with tourists from Europe, Israel and the entire Western Hemisphere, with some having permanent or second homes. The large number of European tourists results in South Beach's tolerance of the female monokini, aka topless sunbathing, despite it being a public beach.
South Beach's residents' varied backgrounds are evident in the many languages spoken. In 2000, 55% of residents of the city of Miami Beach spoke Spanish as a first language, while English was the first language for 33% of the population. Portuguese (mainly Brazilian Portuguese) was spoken by 3% of residents, while French (including Canadian French) was spoken by 2%, and German by 1%. Italian, Russian, Yiddish and Hebrew were all spoken by less than 1%.[13]
Another unique aesthetic attribute of South Beach is the presence of several colorful and unique stands used by Miami Beach's lifeguards on South Beach. After Hurricane Andrew, Architect William Lane donated his design services to the city and added new stops on design tours in the form of lifeguard towers. His towers instantly became symbols of the revived City of Miami Beach.

Miami Beach is a coastal resort city in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. It was incorporated on March 26, 1915. The municipality is located on a series of natural and man-made barrier islands between the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay, the latter which separates the Beach from Miami city proper. The neighborhood of South Beach, comprising the southernmost 2.5 square miles (6.5 km2) of Miami Beach, along with Downtown Miami and the port, collectively form the commercial center of South Florida. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 87,779. Miami Beach has been one of America's pre-eminent beach resorts since the early 20th century.
In 1979, Miami Beach's Art Deco Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Art Deco District is the largest collection of Art Deco architecture in the world and comprises hundreds of hotels, apartments and other structures erected between 1923 and 1943. Mediterranean, Streamline Moderne and Art Deco are all represented in the District. The Historic District is bounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the East, Lenox Court on the West, 6th Street on the South and Dade Boulevard along the Collins Canal to the North. The movement to preserve the Art Deco District's architectural heritage was led by former interior designer Barbara Capitman, who now has a street in the District named in her honor.

Trolley Tour of St Augustine Florida | ZEPHYR TRAVELS - RV Lifestyle
We visit historic St Augustine Florida and take Old Town Trolley tour of the oldest city in the USA. Our tour included a stop at the Castillo De San Marcos, Flagler Collage and the Old town Jail.
St Augustine Florida. Founded in 1565 by Spanish conquistador Pedro Menendez de Aviles. St Augustine is the oldest continuously occupied settlement of European origin in the contiguous United United States.
During our stay we camped at St Augustine Beach KOA that is located about 2 miles from historic St Augustine. Old Town Trolleys has a bus that will pick you up at the KOA every hour during the day. We paid $79 per night when we stayed (February 2019).
Old Town Trolley offers a 3 day package for $26 that allows you to hop on and off the trolley at any of the 23 stops. The full ride takes about 90 minutes, we would suggest taking the full ride first to get the layout of that city and and form a plan of what you want to see during your visit.
The oldest and largest fort on the continental US. The Castillo was designed by the Spanish engineer Ignacio Daza with construction beginning in 1672, 107 years after the city's founding. The entrance fee is $15 (2/2019) and you can use your National park pass. The Castillo is open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas. Check the National Parks website for hours.
The church has been named as one of the religious wonders of the US and one of the most beautiful Presbyterian Churches in the world. The church was built in 1889 by business tycoon and St Augustine benefactor Henry Flagler and dedicated in honer of his daughter Jennie Louise Benedict, who died following complications from childbirth the same year.
Swillerbees Craft Donuts & Coffee Bar big donuts, funky donuts, and classic donut choices are available depending on what level of sweet you're seeking. Funky donuts are creative combinations that include flavors like Mojito, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Maple Bacon, Lemon Meringue Pie, and more.
We did not go into the Fountain of Youth during our visit of Historic St Augustine but it is one of the stops shown in this video.
The Old Jail is located at Old Town, along with the Old Town Trolley main station, The Oldest Store Museum, The St. Augustine History Museum, and a gift shop. The Old Jail is open all year except on Christmas Day.
