The best whale watching place anywhere on the planet These are the words of Captain Ian Roberts, who has led these unforgettable trips for the last 5 years. As this video shows, the thrilling 3-hour Whale watching trip is an experience you will never forget. Often called Rigid Hull Inflatables, Zodiacs are fast, open vessels for those wishing to experience an exhilarating ride in the open air and sun. Look out for Vancouver Island whales, marine birds, seals, porpoise, sea lions, and abundant flora and fauna.
The 12-passenger Zodiacs are powered with twin engines and are equipped with high tech safety equipment, as well as Hydrophones (an onboard acoustic system that allows listeners to hear sounds from beneath the vessel). After having been assisted onboard your 28-foot vessel, you will be offered gloves, goggles and sunscreen should weather conditions require. After a safety briefing with your Skipper, off you go!
Naturalist interpretations are offered throughout your excursion including Whale, marine mammal and marine bird history. The biology, behaviour and habits of these animals will be discussed at the many stops made en-route. Photographic opportunities are phenomenal! With the vessel at rest, take out your camera and enjoy the nature around you as you listen to the naturalist imparting stories of the Pacific Ocean ecosystems.
Catch a glimpse of a Dall's Porpoise, a Minke Whale or some majestic Killer Whales. If the conditions are right, you will have the opportunity to listen to their communication. Hydrophones onboard can pick up and amplify the hauntingly beautiful sounds of the Orcas as they converse with each other through a series of whistles and clicks.

Recognizing Sun Country 2012 EV Pioneers & Blazing an alternate Supercharger Trail South of Superior.
From Victoria, BC to Halifax, NS, we aim to be the first to drive across Canada from the Pacific to Atlantic Ocean charging exclusively at Tesla’s Supercharger Network in Tesla Tours’ original 2018 Model 3 extended range (500 km nominal) June 2018 RWD.
Although our Tesla and the new Superchargers performed perfectly, Don & I both had to return to our homes in Victoria, BC by 06 Jan 2020. Intense winter storms across the country forced us to retreat after reaching Sudbury, Ontario. We chose to connect the new Canadian v3 Supercharger highway to two of the northern US east-west v2 Supercharger highways by first circumnavigating Lake Superior from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to Duluth, Minnesota and then crossing the Rocky Mountains from Alberta into Montana, Idaho, finally reaching the Pacific like Lewis & Clark through the Cascades of Washington State.
We still aim to be the first to drive across Canada from the Pacific to Atlantic Ocean and plan to depart Victoria, BC for Halifax, NS as soon as funds and travel time allow ... stay tuned!

The inaugural flight is the first step in becoming the world’s first all-electric commercial fleet
VANCOUVER, British Columbia – December 10, 2019 – Harbour Air, North America’s largest seaplane airline and magniX, the company powering the electric aviation revolution, today announced the successful flight of the world’s first all-electric commercial aircraft. The successful flight of the ePlane, a six-passenger DHC-2 de Havilland Beaver magnified by a 750-horsepower (560 kW) magni500 propulsion system, took place on the Fraser River at Harbour Air Seaplanes terminal in Richmond (YVR South) this morning. The plane was piloted by Harbour Air CEO and founder Greg McDougall. This historic flight signifies the start of the third era in aviation – the electric age.
Earlier this year, Harbour Air announced its partnership with magniX and the company’s intention to build the world’s first completely electric commercial seaplane fleet. The magni500, which was unveiled at the Paris Air Show in June, 2019, is a high-power-density electric propulsion system that provides a clean and efficient way to power airplanes. Today that plan took flight and became a reality.
magniX and Harbour Air will now begin the certification and approval process for the propulsion system and the retrofitting of aircraft. Once the certification is complete, the rest of the fleet can be magnified with magniX’s all-electric propulsion technology.

Electric Scooter Trip Pt.III
I went from Saanichton BC, to the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal on my 4 wheel electric scooter.
Once at the ferry, I boarded a ferry to Vancouver side and came back again.
It was a beautiful warm sunny day on Easter Monday, the perfect opportunity to complete another 'bucket list' item and get out of the house and away from the computer.
After spending the last few years mostly at home and very dependent on others, it was nice to get out on a personal day trip.
This is the part 4 and the final video instalment of the return trip.

We follow on from our last episode as Yosh fibreglasses and paints over the huge hole in Nandji where rot had been cut out of the deck. We measure up for a new sail bag and head to Kore Sails to make it.
