In the rolling countryside near Gloucester, England, stands the now-famous Cooper's Hill. One day each spring, people send large wheels of artisanal Double Gloucester cheese down the hill at speeds up to about 70 miles per hour. Chasing each wheel is a pack of contestants. Some of them roll, while others just fall over. Long a contained, local affair, over time the Cooper's Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake (meaning festival) started drawing international crowds to watch or compete in this seriously risky game. In the May 2018 event, Chris “King of the Hill” Anderson set the all-time record, with a career total of 22 cheese wheels. Ending the day without mishaps, although the longtime cheese racer has been injured in past years. And Flo Early, winner of the 2018 women's competition, did dislocate her shoulder. No longer officially supported because of increased crowds, the cheese race continues on its own momentum.

Rockfax Description:
A long and popular trip that has masses of interesting climbing punctuated with good belay ledges. The climbing is fairly tough in places but these sections are well-protected. Begin at a short wall just right of the thin crack at the start of Gronk.
1) 4a, 28m. Boulder up the short steep wall to a big ledge and a good nut runner. Wander right to an easy-angled blocky corner. Follow the corner for a couple of moves until easy-angled slabs and short walls lead back leftwards to a belay in a little bay at a tall white-stained flake.
2) 16m. Layback up to the top of the flake and move right and up. Continue up short walls slightly right until a move left gains easy ground and a block covered belay ledge which is below a corner with an intermittent wide crack in it.
3) 10m. Climb the corner to an old peg and overcome the next section of the corner by moving right and up. Continue to a good stance on the right. Climbing the corner and wide crack direct is much harder.
4) 12m. Move up to below a small bush and then climb diagonally right to a ledge and the top. © Rockfax

My first go at video editing, I only had a very small amount of footage. I had a few issues on the day; I was crapping my pants at the height as it was my first multi-pitch climb! I didn't have space to sort my tripod and pan head out half way up a cliff face funny enough and I haven't got a PZ-E1 for my camera yet so the zooming in and out isn't good. Still a useful exercise in familiarising myself with editing software.

1 Hour Of Virtual Running - Easy Training - Exploring The English Countryside
Easy 10k - long run / jog for enjoyment on spring day, wearing GoPro on headstrap, with commentary. First person pov video for treadmill training. I ended up covering 10km in just under 1 hour. Meant to do a shorter run, but it turned into a decent endurance training session. Location: Bromsgrove/Burcot/Blackwell. I saw a deer, met a horse and climbed over a pond lol. (Note: you can watch me run a much faster 10k in this video:

Drinking Lean: The Codeine Based Drink Associated With Hip Hop Culture
Lean is the name of a codeine-based drink that has become popular within some strands of hip hop culture in the US - and now it has made its way to Bristol. It is made with prescribed codeine-based cough syrup, but, when mixed with alcohol and other drugs like Xanax, it poses an extreme overdose risk.
Here, Drugsland highlights the dangers of Lean, as well as meeting some musicians from Bristol who consume the drink.

Meet the Vegan Runner- EPISODE 5- Jenny (HD)
Who are these vegans then? Are they all hippies munching kale, too weak to lift their arms and wave hello...?
'Meet the Vegan Runner' is a series of short video interviews with members of the 'Vegan Runners UK' running club. Its aim is to show the wonderfully diverse range of people who are both vegan & are runners, perhaps dispelling some myths and stereotypes along the way.
Today's interviewee is Jenny, originally from the North East of England, but now living in the South West, where she is a member of Bristol Vegan Runners. As well as proudly running for Vegan Runners, Jenny is also the chair of Cheddar Running Club (no cheese involved!), where she helps to run the club's annual hilly, off-road fell race, the 'Big Cheddar Cheese'; despite the event's name, it's very vegan friendly, with vegan tea & cakes & the finish! For more infor, check out
You can find out more about Vegan Runners UK via the club website, on Instagram (@veganrunnersuk) or via multiple Facebook Groups (Vegan Runners UK for the national group or Bristol Vegan Runners for the group Jenny is part of).
If you, or anyone you know would be interested in featuring in 'Meet the Vegan Runner', please do get in touch, by either commenting below, or contacting 'Anthony Chesher' via Facebook or via and selecting 'Wales & West Midlands' as the subject area (that'll e-mail me directly)
Do of course subscribe if you'd like to stay up to date with all future episodes of 'Meet the Vegan Runner' & leave any feedback in the comments below.
The UK Lane Hogger Crisis
In this video I touch on a controversial subject. Lane hogging. Also worth reading the description for a little more insight.
It's getting worse, despite new laws being introduced in 2013 that give police permission to stop and fine people for hogging lanes. Middle lane hogging is officially classed as careless driving. So why is it getting worse and what more can be done?
In one journey going the entire length of the M4 from Wales to London, the amount of lane hoggers I came across ONE AFTER THE OTHER was astounding. Way to many to put in one video, I selected the ones that caused frustration to myself and other drivers. Also included are multiple clips sent in from contributors.
I find these clips difficult to add into bad driving compilations as they are often lengthy and like red light runners, way to common. Another reason for this separate video.
Why is it getting worse and what's so difficult about the Highway code rule of: Keep to the left, except when overtaking.
Well, for starters there is a lot of confusion drawing the line between forward planning and lane hogging, judging the closing speed of the slower vehicle you're wanting to pass isn't always easy, if you pull in behind the slower vehicle to let cars past, can you pull out again?
If it's busy it can be tricky. Leading drivers to stay out for longer. Or be totally unwilling to move to the inside. According to a local survey 32 per cent of motorists admit they still don't move over to the left lane (lane one) when it's clear.
The absolute worst thing about lane hogging is how it clogs up our motorways, the point of 3 or more lanes is to use all the lanes, not the left lane empty and everyone in the outer lanes, as several clips in this video shows.
It's also incredibly hard to police, only 135 fines since 2013 have been issued as of 20th September 2016.
So how can we improve this situation?
Currently if you go for a driving test, motorway driving isn't part of the criteria, something I thought was ridiculous as it's one of the scariest places to drive, if you've never done it before.
I took something called a Pass Plus test, which includes mostly motorway related driving. But you can only take that test after passing the basic driving test.
However there is good news, as the government is planning to include motorway driving as part of the basic driving test soon.
Another thing the highways agency could do to improve the hogging situation is educate people by using the under-utilised digital signs that cost a small fortune, and advise drivers accordingly. The majority of these expensive signs are used all the time by telling drivers to drive safely with different messages.
So there we go, nothing has changed... Yet
Thanks for watching :)

Real Scenes: London | Resident Advisor
London is home to the world's biggest and most diverse dance music scene. Each weekend, it vibrates to the sound of every imaginable style of club music. It's a scene shaped by immigration and the hard knocks of city life, both of which fuelled the incredible feats of creativity that led to jungle, garage, grime, dubstep and UK funky. London is rightly known as a capital of sonic innovation.
London may be one of dance music's most important cities, but it's also one of its most troubled. It has reached a defining moment for nightlife culture. From club closures, to widespread police pressure on venues, to the looming threats of gentrification and Brexit, dance music in London has often felt under siege. In Real Scenes: London, we meet the artists, promoters and venue owners who have confronted these challenges head on. It's never been easy here, but an undercurrent of radio, DIY venues, new music and emerging talent still finds a way to survive and thrive—at least for now.
