SABAH | The Best of Borneo
I spent just over a week on the island of Borneo, in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and fell in love with the place. The island is home to so much social and biological diversity. After a full on week island hopping, snorkeling, rafting, animal watching and much more, I felt like I had done a pretty thorough trip, only to realize that I had barely scratched inland of the island. Definitely will be returning as there is so much more to see. Love Malaysia!
Poem:
Salut au Monde by Walt Whitman, read courtesy of ASMR Book Reader. For more great content from him check out his channel:
O TAKE my hand, Walt Whitman!
Such gliding wonders! such sights and sounds!
Such join’d unended links, each hook’d to the next!
Each answering all—each sharing the earth with all.
What widens within you, Walt Whitman?
What waves and soils exuding?
What climes? what persons and lands are here?
...
What rivers are these? what forests and fruits are these?
What are the mountains call’d that rise so high in the mists?
What myriads of dwellings are they, fill’d with dwellers?
Within me latitude widens, longitude lengthens;
Asia, Africa, Europe, are to the east—America is provided for in the west;
Banding the bulge of the earth winds the hot equator,
Curiously north and south turn the axis-ends;
Within me is the longest day—the sun wheels in slanting rings—it does not set for months;
Stretch’d in due time within me the midnight sun just rises above the horizon, and sinks
again;
Within me zones, seas, cataracts, plants, volcanoes, groups,
Malaysia, Polynesia, and the great West Indian islands.

EXPLORING PHILIPPINES BEACHES BY HELICOPTER | EPIC World Tour DAY 52
Today we flew from Kota Kinabalu Malaysia to Manila Philippines. We flew past the most incredible amazing beaches that we have seen on this entire trip. The Philippines beaches are truly amazing.
We are staying in Manila for the weekend to complete our last 100 hour inspection.
We are planning to cross 45 countries in 84 days. We are planning to set a world record for equatorial antipode circumnavigation. That means touching two opposite points on the planet and crossing the equator.
This trip is being sponsored by EIGHT The Health Lounge
We are calling this trip EPIC which stands for Empowering People and Inspiring Change. We want to inspire young people to pursue a life they can be passionate about. Choose something they can put their heart into and pursue it with their whole heart.
We also feel that living a healthy lifestyle goes in perfect unison with an entrepreneurial lifestyle. If you aren’t healthy it’s hard to live a passionate filled life.
We want to give a huge thank you to G.A.S.E for their support with handling and flight dispatching.

Kuching, Malaysia (1080HD) Travel Video
For more great information, photos and video about Malaysia, see PleaseTakeMeTo's Malaysia Travel Guide -
On the banks of the Sarawak river, and very near to the equator stands Kuching, the capital of Sarawak and the most populous city in Borneo.
Kuching has a colorful history which reads like a romantic adventure novel, but it also has a lot to offer to modern day travelers. Endowed with cultural and architectural treasures, visitors are advised to set aside at least a few days here to truly appreciate Kuching's magical appeal.
There are numerous museums to explore, including the Sarawak Museum which is considered one of the finest in the whole of South East Asia.
Kuching is home to many fine historic buildings such as Fort Magherita, and The Astana, the former palace of the White Rajahs.
Beneath her modern skyline, the heart of old Kuching pulsates with vibrant lane ways, shophouses and markets that have changed little over the decades. Famed for her beautiful sunsets, Kuching is a city that likes to stay up late, as the locals and the visitors mix in the many cafes, bars and restaurants along the Waterfront.
Kuching is also the ideal base from which to explore the surrounding national parks and nearby beach resorts.
But perhaps the best way experience the area is to paddle up the river on one of the popular kayak tours. Immersed in a green world of towering trees and natures sights and sounds, modern travelers can experience a Borneo that has changed little through the years.
Being so close to the best of Sarawak, and home to relaxed and friendly people, it's not hard to see why the 'City of Cats' is considered one of Malaysia's best kept secrets.
Bridging Humanity's Humanitarian Trip to Borneo
In collaboration with WWF Borneo, Bridging Humanity spent time teaching at the Dayak villages of Ukit-Ukit & Mileau. During our month stay in the heart of the rain forest we taught women & kids how to make plarn (plastic bag yarn) & to repurpose trash into items that could be sold to make money. Sad but true it is hard to believe plastic waste has made it's way into the jungles of Borneo but it has. Hopefully our classes will inspire the locals to appreciate waste more & help clean up the environment. Our classes covered various weaving techniques including Kumihimo braiding with plarn & bead making from trash for jewelry making. While we were there we took advantage of having the women together so we could teach them how to do their family planning with cycle beads which is a calendar based system that helps women know when they are fertile. We conducted 3 eye clinics & distributed free eyeglasses to the poor. We also taught repurposed trash classes to various NGOs specializing in handicrafts in Pontianak. For more information about our work please visit bridging-humanity.org. For more information about WWF Borneo please visit Stay safe & stay tuned for more videos from Bridging Humanity!
