'The Glasgow Underground Music Scene' Documentary
The Glasgow Underground Music Scene is a documentary that captures Glasgow’s unique rebellious character. The film will tackle the deep roots of the underground music scene and explore how the city established its characteristic 'Glasgow Sound'. Within the film will be the ongoing discussion on the similarities between Scotland’s biggest city and the two capitals of techno’- Berlin and Detroit. All three cities share a dark post-industrial past of minority separatism. People needed something to turn to and escape their dark reality – their escapism took the form of music. The film will show insight into Glasgow’s finer DJs, aspiring talent, venues and make the audience draw parallels between Glasgow, Detroit and Berlin through the similarities in the cultural and historical landscapes that have helped shaped the cities music scenes.
The film is a university project made for non-commercial releases.

Thanks so much for your support on the Flying the Nest Expeditions this week - we were absolutely overwhelmed - we appreciate you all so much and cannot wait to go traveling with you all.
We have now left England and made our way up to Edinburgh where we planned to see a lot more than we did...the weather just fell down on us with insane wind and rain during our time!
We managed to go around Old Town Edinburgh and see Edinburgh Castle and Princess street before literally having to pack up and leave Scotland to head straight down to Brighton in an attempt to escape the weather.

Hundreds of English voters plan ‘move to Scotland’ after General Election horror
Following yesterday’s General Election , many English and Welsh who didn’t vote Tory have been left feeling as blue as their constituencies. The Conservatives have so far scored 364 seats to Labour ’s 202, giving Boris Johnson ’s party an overwhelming majority of 80. The Tories now have a mandate to ‘Get Brexit Done’, and plan to do so by January 31st next year. Meanwhile in Scotland, there was a yellow landslide as the SNP saw huge gains, taking 48 seats of the country’s 59. This has left many Remainers below the border looking north for a quick 'way out'. Hundreds of English and Welsh, as well as EU immigrants living in both countries, have been taking to Twitter to share their desires to move up here, encouraging Scots to push for a second independence referendum. One user wrote: “Time to move to Scotland. Go for independence as soon as you can Scotland.” Another said: “Genuine question for @ nicolasturgeon will people from England be able to move to Scotland and claim Scottish citizenship if there is a second referendum and Scotland votes for independence? I will move there if so.” One asked: “Is it too late to move to Scotland and vote for @ nicolasturgeon / asking on behalf of most of England.” One user tweeted: “Wish I was in position to move to Scotland, I’m politically homeless now in England, having lived through a Thatcher government, extremely worried, history repeats itself, sad that so many have forgotten about her legacy & think Brexit will make their lives better, it won’t.” Another simply said: “Sod it. Let’s all move to Scotland.” Over on Google, many of those disheartened by the results have been frantically searching for information on how to make their plan to move up north a reality. As the polls closed last night, there was a huge spike in searches for ‘move to Scotland’, with those people also looking into ‘jobs in Scotland’ and property sites such as Zoopla and Rightmove. In response, many Scots welcomed those desperate to escape five more years of a Tory government with open arms, with Humza Yousaf leading the charge. The Justice Minister tweeted: “To all those folk in England tweeting that they now want to move to Scotland… #YoureWelcome #PlentyOfRoom #KettleIsOn” The tweet was accompanied by a photo of Sturgeon captioned: “Go and get your jacket.” One Scottish user wrote: “Anyone fancy a move to Scotland, we have plenty of room and we’re really nice.” Another said: “There’s plenty of room & yes it’s a bit cold & wet but we have Tunnock’s Tea Cakes & square sausage.” One tweeted: “To the people of England who believe in the EU and who reject Conservative/Trumpism, Scotland is open to you. Make the move. You won’t regret it!” And another wrote: “No matter who you are or where you come from, please always know that the kettle is always on in Scotland. Anyone who comes to Scotland is welcome with open arms.” Hundreds of English voters plan ‘move to Scotland’ after General Election horror

Scotland's Secret Bunker
Monday 4th September 2017, a visit to Scotland's Secret Bunker, a dual story underground complex in the East Neuk of Fife, situated under a farmhouse and used by the UK government during the cauld war. Thankfully only about 5 miles drive from Ainster so they'd be well fed on quality fish suppers!
