Museum(যাদুঘর) | Darjeeling museum | inshot media
Darjeeling museum is very beautiful museum.
The museum has been kept in the mountains which won the Mount Everest, many old clothes, pants, and much more. If you go to Darjeeling tour you can come back there, and many can resort to discretion.
It's a little away from Darjeeling city.

Miniature of Himalayan belt at Tibet Himalayan Museum, Darjeeling
A miniature model of the whole Himalayan belt being displayed at Tibet Himalayan Museum in Darjeeling, West Bengal.
This is the newest museum in Darjeeling inaugurated on 2nd July 2015 by revered Tibetan guru Gurung Tulku Nima Hoiser Rinpoche. The timing was so chosen to coincide with the 80th birthday celebration of Dalai Lama.
The museum is located on Gandhi road and within easy walking distance from the town center (i.e. the clock tower area). As the name suggests, the museum is mainly about the Tibetan community although it has several exhibits and artifacts of other communities along the Himalayan belt as well.
There are other Tibetan museums in India, but they mostly focus on the religious aspects of Tibetans. This museum has its main focus on the history and culture of the Tibetans rather than their religious backgrounds. And the reason for that being it's a unit of Manjushree Centre of Tibetan Culture which is a well known non-profit organization in Darjeeling that has been working on preservation of Tibetan history, heritage, culture and language since long.
The museum is located at the ground floor of Manjushree Centre. Upstairs, the organization also runs a small lodging-only budget hotel called Tibet Home which helps to generate some funding. But there is a strange background to why and how this museum was first conceived. The president of Manjushree Centre Ngawang Tenzin Gyatso was in Lhasa of Tibet in 2007 when he visited the National Museum there. It is built on the theme of Chinese occupied Tibet. He figured out that the Chinese had manipulated the history of Tibet to suite their own story and misrepresented the facts about Tibetan history and culture. He decided to create a Tibetan museum in Darjeeling to straighten out the facts.

Visiting Natural History Museum in Darjeeling
The Bengal Natural History Museum provides a wonderful view of the flora and fauna of the hills. It shows the evolution process of natural environment. There are a large number of specimens of Himalayan fauna, including various types of birds, reptiles, deers, tigers etc. From Hill Cart road we took a 15 minutes upward trekking towards chowrasta to reach this place. It remains open from 10 AM to 4 PM (except Thursday). Entry ticket is very nominal (probably Rs 10/-). They also allowed to take pictures inside without any additional charges. The specimens inside the museum were very lively. It was a nice experience to visit the museum.

Indian flag that reached the top of Mt. Everest with Tenzing Norgay
Indian flag that reached the top of Mt. Everest with Tensing Norgay, gift from Sir Edmund Hillary on December 4, 1977 at Gift Museum at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Viewer Algernon Huxley tells us that There were 4 flags affixed to the shaft of Tenzing Norgay's ice-axe on the ascent of Everest in May 1953, from top to bottom: The United Nations flag, the British Union Jack, the flag of Nepal AND that of India. Sir Edmund Hillary took the famous photo of Tenzing Norgay at the summit but the flags of Nepal and India were not readily visible due the camera angle and the violent winds. Interestingly, Sir Hillary, a New Zealander didn't hoist the N.Z. flag, but this was because Sir John Hunt (a Brit) had financed the Everest expedition.
Tenzing Norgay OSN GM (late May 1914 -- 9 May 1986) born Namgyal Wangdi and often referred to as Sherpa Tenzing, was a Nepalese Indian Sherpa mountaineer. Among the most famous mountain climbers in history, he was one of the first two individuals known to have reached the summit of Mount Everest, which he accomplished with Edmund Hillary on 29 May 1953. He was named by Time as one of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century.
Museum has etchings of Thomas Daniel and William Daniel and autographed photographs of several Heads of States. Also on display are a number of gift items received by the President during visits abroad or during India and from visiting Heads of State at New Delhi including a dry sunflower which adorned the mortal remains of Mahatma Gandhi on January 31, 1948, 1 K.M. long thread of superfine Khadi spun by a weaver in Nadia Dist. (West Bengal), the 640 Kg. silver chair used by King Emperor at the Delhi Durbar in 1911-12.
Rashtrapati Bhavan is the official home of the President of India. It may refer to only the mansion (the 340-room main building) that has the President's official residence, halls, guest rooms and offices; it may also refer to the entire 130 hectare (320 acre) President Estate that additionally includes huge presidential gardens (Mughal Gardens), large open spaces, residences of bodyguards and staff, stables, other offices and utilities within its perimeter walls. By comparison, the White House in USA is 18 acres in area including gardens and open spaces.
