Pathfinder's latest tour behind only 66079 but fully booked, is seen twice in this film. Grinding up the bank to Sugar Loaf summit and then leaving Llanwytyd for Llandrindod Wells (where it crossed the steam tour seen in my video of yesterday).
Filmed in Powys, Wales, UK.
'Heart of Wales Explorer' Class 20's 20303 & 20304 11/10/2014
Another one of Pathfinder Tours wonderful tour featuring DRS Class 20's 20303 & 20304 working the 1Z28 06.15 from Derby to Llandrindod Wells Excursion.
The train is seen collecting the single line token at Pantyffynnon, in torrential rain after a Thunderstorm had passed over.
This was a rare opportunity to see this class of locomotive working over the Heart of Wales route.

Steam in the Hills - the Heart of Wales.
Return match for last week's trip was the other way round, so the ascent of sugar Loaf is from the West. We se the train,double-headed this time, coast into Llandeilo where there was a lengthy stop to wait to cross a unit coming the other way. Then I got her between Llandeilo and Llandovery, another race and then leaving Llanwrtyd Wells.
Filmed mostly in Carmarthenshire, Wales, UK.
20303 & 20304 HEART OF WALES EXP 11.10.14
I was already pushing my luck for light at Portobello then when the train lost another 2 minutes in Wolverhampton it was just about game over. Still makes an half decent vid though with as we see DRS 20303 & 20304 blasting away from Portobello Junction on Pathfinder Tours 'Heart Of Wales Explorer' from Llandrinod Wells to Derby.

The train was due to arrive at 14:25, but was delayed by just over and hour due to a problem with one loco, it then finally arrived at 15:30. Locations seen are Llandrindod Wells Railway Station and Pen-y-Bont Railway Station.

37670 & 37401 Heart of Wales Scenic Rambler rail tour 2/3/09
I was away again when there was a rail tour with steamers in crewe, so I filmed another rail tour with 37s on it. I went to Llandrindod Wells to film the compass tour Heart of Wales Scenic Rambler. I wasnt able to cab this one unfortunately, although I did go in the old signal box to get a different angle. When they were due out I went the other side of the station to get them leaving, with not really knowing the area very well im sure I missed some better filming places and no doubt I will be told.
Central Wales Line 1960s

97302 + load 10 thrash on the Heart of Wales line, on tour.
Seen thrashing away from Knighton is 97302, the tour was originally booked Class 66 throughout but due to line restrictions 97301 and 302 were tasked for the section between Newport and Bescot via HofW line. 97301 only made it on the train as far as the lay over at Llandridnod Wells due to communication issues it was left. I also took a short clip of one of the local services heading for Shrewsbury, 6M86 at Onibury, taken from where the road is adjacent to the line. And also 68 returning on the Edinburgh Rugby special.
