Mendoza Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
Mendoza – Welcome to the Land of Sun and Good Wine. Check out the coolest spots to explore in this Argentine city.
When ready, browse vacation packages to Mendoza:
¡Bienvenidos a Mendoza!
Find #Mendoza at the foot of the Andes and let your #vacation experience roll out through the lush gardens, tree-lined streets and open plazas that drive the city’s culture and heartbeat.
This part of Argentina is great to #visit year-round given its seemingly-endless sunshine. Located on an arid plateau, Mendoza was built on the irrigation channels that were originally dug by the indigenous Huarpe people. These waterways also feed snowmelt from the Andes to Mendoza's vineyards. Mendoza is one of the most highly renowned wine regions in the world.
From above, key Mendoza parks take on the shape of a dotted number five, like on dice. #Explore the central dot, leafy Plaza Independencia and its underground modern art museum. The corners are formed by the Plaza Italia, Plaza General San Martín, Plaza España and Plaza Chile, with their richly decorated statues and fountains.
For now, we hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.

24 Hours on a Greek Ferry with a Luxury Cabin. Wow! Thessaloniki ????to Kavala ⛴to Patmos
We took a bus from Thessaloniki, Greece (part of Greek Macedonia) to Kavala, Greece, which took about two hours. From there we caught a 24 hour ferry to Patmos, Greece in the Dodecanese Islands.
Our ferry was with Blue Star Ferries on the ship called Diagoras. Because we were spending so long on the ship we decided to book a Lux Cabin Berth. The berth was just for the two of us and included a private bathroom (with shower), a queen bed, desk, sitting area and fridge.
While on board we give you a tour of the various decks, outdoor areas, cafes and restaurants.

OUR ADVENTURE IN PATAGONIA CONTINUES! Long Overnight Bus Ride From Trelew to Esquel, Argentina
Come join us as our adventure in Patagonia continues crossing from east to west as take a long overnight bus from Trelew to Esquel, Chubut, Argentina. Because our overnight bus didn't leave until the evening we arranged to keep our bags in Trelew while we headed over to Gaiman on a day-trip.
Before leaving Trelew we give you a full tour of our spacious apartment which we really enjoyed aside from the slow internet. After grabbing our bags we head to a cafe for a small snack before boarding the overnight bus.
The journey itself was quite bumpy for certain stretches and we arrived in Esquel feeling really groggy. After some coffee and breakfast we jumped in a cab and headed to our apartment in Esquel.
With a quick grocery tour and a friendly cat, which was comfortable enough to come inside, we say goodbye with more episodes from Esquel coming out soon.

OUR ADVENTURE IN PATAGONIA CONTINUES! Long Overnight Bus Ride From Trelew to Esquel, Argentina:
Hey guys! We are Samuel and Audrey, a travel vlogging couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world.
We had the privilege of traveling around Argentina for nearly 3 months from January- April 2019 on a trip covering a large section of the country.
We kicked things off with several days in Buenos Aires where we were joined by Audrey's parents eating and sightseeing around some of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. We then flew from Buenos Aires to Cordoba where we spent a couple of weeks in the Sierras of Cordoba visiting both La Cumbrecita and Villa General Belgrano with highlights including hiking and delicious German and Swiss cuisine.
From Cordoba, we then travelled a considerable distance on an overnight bus to Mar Del Plata just in time for a special food festival called Feria Masticar featuring the best of Argentine food and wine. We spent several days enjoying beaches and seafood before heading south to Patagonia to visit the province of Chubut.
While on the Atlantic side of Chubut we visited Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, Trelew, Gaiman and Dolavon. To summarize our time in this area, we had incredibly close encounters with wildlife including penguins, sea lions and guanacos while also experiencing Welsh culture in Argentina.
Our time in Patagonia continued as we headed from east to west trading more barren landscapes for thick forests, impressive mountains and magnificent lakes. We spent significant time in both Esquel and El Bolson with day trips to visit Trevelin, Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Cholila and Lago Puelo. Highlights included sailing, hiking, riding vintage trains and partaking in the national asado festival.
We finished visiting Patagonia with time spent in Villa La Angostura, San Martin De Los Andes and Bariloche where we enjoyed more stunning scenery and hiking. On our way back to Buenos Aires, we took the Tren Patagonia to Las Grutas before meeting up with Audrey's dad again.
To finish off our trip in Argentina, we spent more time in the capital and later Mendoza where we got to experience wine tourism to its fullest extent. Overall, we had an amazing time travelling around Argentina having only scratched the surface of this vast and diverse country.
Overall our Argentina travel series explores cities, small towns that are off-the-beaten-path, and scenic attractions with a strong emphasis on Argentina cuisine and local culture.

Visiting Patagonia, South of Argentina: Sightseeing the lakes, mountains and forests
Here's a sightseeing tour we did by taxi with a local near Villa La Angostura. Most of these lakes, mountains and forests are under the protection of Unesco. An absolutely pure vision of nature. You can read more about my trip to the South of Argentina here: My travel guides are personal and with a very local take. I hope you'd enjoy it.
BEACH TOWN IN PATAGONIA | Visiting Puerto Piramides on Valdes Peninsula | Chubut, Argentina
In today's travel video, we explore the Patagonian beach town of Puerto Piramides, which is the only town located within the Valdes Peninsula. The town has a population of just over 700, though for a few months of the year, the whale population far exceeds the number of inhabitants on land! We had one full day to explore Puerto Piramides, so we spent it: watching the sunrise up on the cliffs, hiking out to the lobería where we saw sea lions, eating a delicious seafood pasta at La Covacha, strolling down the colourful Avenue of the Whales, and enjoying our stay at the Oceano Patagonia eco-hotel. We hope you enjoy this little taste of a beach town in Patagonia and we'll see you tomorrow with more adventures around the peninsula!

Marcus and his brother Antoine head to Argentina for their cousin's wedding. They plan to explore all that Buenos Aires has to offer before making the trip to Mendoza in the west. Marcus will do anything it takes to cheer up his little brother. You Need to Visit MEDELLIN. Is it Safe? Is it Dangerous? We love Colombia ❤️City Travel Guide ????????
So many people have asked and expressed concern about the safety of Colombia and in particular Medellin when we mentioned going there. People have many outdated notions of Medellin and immediately thing of drugs and cartels. In this video we discuss our feelings of safety while exploring the city!
Save $40cad on your next hotel booking here ????
To start things off we take public transportation using both the metro and cable cars (which are integrated into the public transportation system) to reach Arví Park. At first we were a bit confused about where to go in the park but eventually we come across a beautiful picnic park with walking trails, a stream and a bridge.
The next day we head out on a free Medellin Walking Tour with Zippy Tours ( to explore the neighbourhood of Comuna 13. Back when the city was run by cartels and Pablo Escobar this was considered one of the most dangerous neighbourhoods in the entire world. Nowadays its a vibrant area with amazing street art/graffiti that tells the story of this community. The tours are given by members of the community so you get to hear first hand experiences of living there, and how the community pulled through. Along the way we heard many stories, saw some amazing street art, went up the famous escalators, and saw some fabulous street dancing.
All in all we felt very safe throughout those two days spent in Medellin but we always advise everyone to do their research and be aware of their surroundings.
