FCJ Centre's Annual Garden Tea Soirée
Sunday, October 4, 2015 l Our first annual Garden Tea Soirée was a huge success!!! A sold out crowd of friends enjoyed an afternoon of high tea, great food and entertainment. The energy was incredible! It was amazing afternoon in celebration and support of the FCJ Christian Life Centre! The success of our Garden Tea Soirée is a result of an incredible community effort. Thank you to everyone who helped with the Garden Tea Soirée. From our volunteers, student workers, staff, special guests speakers and emcees to our clean up crew. You know who you are and you have made a very big difference!
Thank you to everyone who donated an item for the Silent auction, purchased an item, made a financial contribution, purchased tickets to attend, and/or prayed for the event's success. By the grace of God, guided by His loving hands, all our collective efforts resulted in a wonderful success for the FCJ Centre.
We reached both of our goals! We raised over $8,000 for the FCJ Centre; funds greatly needed and put to good use, and, we built up our community - both at the event and in preparation for it. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
A special THANK YOU to our Committee: Susanne van Roessel, Suzy Kroll, Michelle Slade, Sr. Madeleine Gregg, fcJ, Denise DeNeve, and Natasha Sorobey. We achieved new heights thanks to your leadership and hard work.
See you next year!

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.
