Remembering Warbird restorer Gerry Beck - Fagen Fighters WWII Museum
As today is Gerry Beck's birthday, it is the perfect beginning of our week long tribute to celebrate his life and accomplishments in the aviation world. Appropriately the first video clip will be from Gerry's wife, Cindy Schreiber-Beck which is taken from the forthcoming documentary on Twilight Tear, our P-51D Mustang in which Gerry played a major role in the restoration to the champion aircraft she is today. Please join in and feel free to share your memories and thoughts about the man we all called a friend.

ROBIN OLDS: ALL AMERICAN - TRAILER
See it NOW on UFLYTV.com.
DVD and BLU-RAY available at aviationautographs.com
Brig. General Robin Olds was an American fighter pilot and general officer in the U.S. Air Force. He was a Triple Ace, with a combined total of 16 victories in World War II and the Vietnam War. The son of Army Air Forces Major General Robert Olds, educated at West Point, and the product of an upbringing in the early years of the U.S. Army Air Corps, Olds epitomized the youthful World War II fighter
pilot. He remained in the service as it became the United States Air Force, despite often being at odds with its leadership, and was one of its pioneer jet pilots. Rising to the command of two fighter wings, Olds is regarded among aviation historians, and his peers, as the best wing commander of the Vietnam War, for both
his air-fighting skills, and his reputation as a combat leader.
Robin Olds’ daughter, Christina, who co-authored his biography “Fighter Pilot: The Memoirs of Legendary Ace Robin Olds”, also co-wrote and narrated this biopic, “Robin Olds: All American”. In it, she shares her personal insights and memories of life with one of the most legendary and respected figures in the
history of the United States Air Force. Much of the video is in General Olds’ own words, gleaned from some of his last recorded extended narratives.
The video was produced by The Fagen Fighters World War II Museum of Granite Falls, Minnesota, in conjunction with Sleeping Dog Productions. Featured prominently in the video is “Scat III”, one of the few remaining Lockheed P-38 Lightenings left in the world, which has been meticulously restored to flying condition by The Museum. It is painted in the exact same scheme as the P-38 in which Robin Olds scored 5 of his aerial victories in the European Theater of World War II.
