Tanzanian Guided Safari
Guided safari of Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Our tour left Arusha and headed west towards the parks. A three day long camping safari with no frills. Simple camp setup, hardy and tasty meals, led by experienced guides. This simple version of an African safari is just about the most affordable way to visit these parks. Although we had no red table-clothed picnics with wine and fancy cheeses, we were always comfortable and well fed. The wildlife and landscapes were awe inspiring.
Wonderful Bus Journey Kenya to Tanzania (Mombasa to Dar es Salaam)
Since flights are hell expensive in Africa, so I had to take the bus from Mombasa to Dar es Salaam (Kenya to Tanzania) and it turned out to be a very good journey and adventure. I got Tanzania visa on Arrival at the border on Pakistani passport. The bus company name is Tahmeed which has three buses every day departing from Mombasa to Dar es Salaam. the ticket cost $15 USD.

Wildlife Safari in Northern Tanzania -- December 2013
Trip-of-a-lifetime experience arranged by Betchart Expeditions (Cupertino, CA, USA) to celebrate a couple's 50th wedding anniversary. Seven adults and two teenagers spent 11 days of December 2013 in northern Tanzania visiting Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, a traditional Masai village, Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti National Park, and Lake Manyara National Park (in that order). Trip highlights include a leopard hunting monkeys during the daytime, several up-close encounters with lions (including playful cubs, feeding on a buffalo kill, and two mating pairs), and thousands of migrating wildebeests. betchartexpeditions.com
Farm Visit - Arusha, Tanzania
This is an unedited version of a video walk through of farming in East Africa, specifically Northern Tanzania. It is a great educational tool and provides a glimpse into Agribusiness and Agriculture, both projects I work on in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda. Thank you to Edson for taking the time. Smaller edited versions of this and other farms will be made available, but this is a good educational video.
MAAJABU Ya Maji MOTO Yanayowavuta Wazungu Tanzania/Kilimanjaro #HotSprings
#Kikuletwa #HotSprings is located in the middle of a semi arid landscape, surrounded by sprawling fig trees. Amid the trees it features crystal clear water bubbling from underground springs. This is a perfect destination, to take a swim and relax after a Kilimanjaro climb or safari, or just to get away for a day. The drive from Moshi / Arusha takes about 1 hour 30 min each way.
The drive to Kikuletwa Hot Springs will take about 1 hour 30 min. Pick up will be around 9 am in Moshi or Arusha. On a clear day, beautiful views of Mt. Meru or Mt. #Kilimanjaro can be seen from the main road. After leaving the main road the drive will continue thru gorgeous African country side past small villages, bush land, dry riverbeds, as well as baobab and acacia trees. This area, which used to be a hunting ground for Europeans during the 1800s, is home to members of many different tribes, peacefully co-existing as neighbors. Although the game has long since migrated, it is still a haven to many animal species, including a large variety of birds. After 1 hour 30 min of driving, green sprawling fig trees fed by underground springs, will appear out of nowhere in this dry landscape, indicating Kikuletwa Hot Springs are within reach. The crystal clear water of the springs is perfectly refreshing and you may take a plunge via a rope from the trees, slowly wade into the water from the side, or just relax in the shade of the trees.

Tarangire Tortilis Camp – Tanzania
Tarangire Tortilis Camp
Just 120km from Arusha, our Tarangire Tortilis Camp is the perfect place for an introduction to the riches of Northern Tanzania. Our vision for the future - is an entirely female-run Tortilis Camp and we have begun by employing women at the Tarangire Tortilis Camp to be the first Tortilis Camp to reach this goal.
This spacious camp, built in-between a line of 4 magnificent Baobab trees looks onto a vast expanse of wetlands. Elephants appear as ships sailing through the long grass watched from the warmth of our fire pit area while you enjoy a drink and watch the sunset.
The Tarangire River is a life-giving spine for this National Park and attracts herds of over 1000 elephants, tremendous numbers of giraffe, and flows all year round - teaming with life for you to enjoy on a game drive right on the riverbanks.
Walking tours with a National Parks ranger and your driver-guide is a tantalizing experience where you can encounter the largest elephants to the tiniest of insects. The ranger and guide will share deep insight into the details and sensations that are so unique to experience on foot.
It’s incredible to think that such an exciting tented Tortilis Camp exists so close to Arusha, the perfect place to start or finish an itinerary of Tortilis Camp stays.

MASSAI Tanz Aufführung in Kenia

MAHALI PA WATOTO 2014
The school operates 5 days a week following the Kenya pre-primary syllabus. We aim for children to enter a local state run primary school in two years (UK equivalent of UK junior school).
If you are a child growing up in Dagoretti you are probably living there because someone in your family works nearby or in Nairobi. Work in the immediate area is centred on the abattoir in the village. Housing is modest but the urban sprawl of Nairobi is spreading and pushing out into rural areas like Dagoretti which will have an impact on the school long term.
You might have one parent or be living with a grandparent and your role in life would be to help, by collecting firewood and water. You don't have many possessions, a few clothes and you probably live in a one roomed corrugated iron hut like the one shown here with a curtain that divides the bed from the rest of the house. You share the floor as a bed with your brothers and sisters.Food is very expensive and consists mainly of maize flour porridge with occasional vegetables to add flavour.
The school we support is on the outskirts of the village is an oasis of care. In a few short years the school teaches basics like reading writing and arithmetic and provides clothing, food, discipline and the social skills needed to enter the state system. This is an escape route for these children.
It is known as Mahali pa Watoto meaning 'A place for the children'.
The school was started in 2000 by Jane Thomas a Kenyan teacher and social worker, who helped at the Red Cross feeding station and wanted to do more for the children. It started with a dozen pupils and has grown over the years. It now helps 70 children and by 2013 100 children.

Amazing Africa Wildlife 4K, Best Safari ????????????
Tanzania Safari
Tanzania Trip - Ultimate Safari
Like all African countries, one of the biggest safety concerns is contracting a serious illness whilst you are out there. This can usually be remedied by taking injections before you head out.
If you’re planning on doing a safari, however, you probably don’t even want to spend much time in the cities anyway so minimizing your time there is a win for both safety and maximizing your adventure.
Tanzania, perhaps the home of human civilization itself, is known for the warmth of its many varied people and tribes that settled there from across Africa and the Middle East.
Amazing Africa Wildlife, Tanzania Safari, 4K
With 17 national parks spanning a vast area of 16,000 square miles which are home to 20% of Africa’s mammal species, Tanzania is a richly diverse country that should be on your hit list. Not to mention the biggest beast of all, Kilimanjaro which you might want to consider climbing.
met with local tribes like the Hadzabe, and traveled through Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Eyasi, and Lake Manyara.

President John Magufuli of Tanzania declares his stand (Swahili)
This president has declared where he stands and he is almost unlike any other president the African continent has seen. Many are going to dislike him for cutting off the secret pipelines to their illegal feeding dens. Some of what he has done since coming into office:
1. After opening parliament he slashed the cost of the state dinner from sh300million to sh25million. He ordered that the rest be taken to buy hospital beds for Muhimbili. The hospital got 300 beds and mattresses and 600 bed sheets from that money.
2. He announced that there will be no official ceremonies for Independence Day on 9th December, the money is to be used for more pressing issues and the day should instead be spent cleaning up our environment.
3. A group of 50 people were about to set off for a tour of commonwealth countries but President Magulufi cut that list down to 4 people, saving government 600m in tickets, accommodation and per diems
4. He announced there will be no more foreign travel, embassies will take care; if travel is necessary special permission must be sought from him or Chief Secretary
5. No more 1st class and business class travel for all officials except President, Vice, and Prime Minister.
6. No more workshops and seminars in expensive hotels when their so many ministry board rooms available.
7. No more sitting allowances, how the hell are you paid allowance for a job which you have a monthly salary; that also applies to MP’s.
8. President Magulufi went to Muhimbili Hospital unannounced and walked thru the worst parts that they keep hiding from important visitors he fired the director, fired the hospital board and ordered that all machines that weren’t working (so that people go to private hospitals owned by some doctors) to be repaired within 2 weeks otherwise he fires even the new director; the machines were repaired in 3 days
9.When going to officially open parliament President Magulufi didn’t go by plane, drove the whole 600km from Dar to Dodoma.
This man is onto something.

#3.5 Dutch farm stay @ Kilimanjaro
At the foot of the Kilimanjaro you'll come across Simba Farm Lodge, a Dutch farm that also welcomes guests on its property as a lodge. In some ways, you could call this a homestay – although the experience is nowhere comparable to, for instance, a homestay at a Maasai village.
Owners Sjouke and Yoka Bruinsma arrived here in the 80s to set up their farm and never once regretted that decision, according to Sjouke. Their children grew up here and by now, a large part of their family works for the family business.
Imagine just having finished an intense Kilimanjaro hike, mountainbike tour, motor safari or just a regular safari in a car. You're exhausted and covered in dust, and all you want to do is relax and come to your senses again. Simba Farm Lodge is the perfect place to do that! Hang around the pool for a day, or go for a nice walk in the area (with views of the Kili, Mount Meru and the Maasai steps). At night, you'll have a cosy candle light dinner with the entire family. Are you joining us?

◎ About Charlie and Charlie's Travels ◎
Hi, I'm Charlie! Some time ago (in 2014) I started an internship in Kenya. I haven't left since, because I fell in love with Africa and started my own travel agency, Charlie's Travels. It's specialised in off the beaten track tours, because we think this continent is so much more than just safari tours and beaches. We believe that for the real Africa experience, you need to go beyond the tourist traps. Africa has so many stereotypes and preconceptions. By making cool and relevant content, we want to show you a different side of the continent! We want to create new routes and awesome adventures, which will make you want to travel here and see it for yourself.

Special thanks to our amazing guides with Safari Legacy - Norman Majid, Eddie Isaac and Isaiah Siima...their collective knowledge and passion was as awe-inspiring as the wildlife itself.

Mount Kilimanjaro Tours Video
Mount Kilimanjaro Tours Video - Since its official opening in 1977, Kilimanjaro National Park has become one of Tanzanias most visited parks. Unlike the other northern parks, this isnt for the wildlife, although its there. Rather, its to gaze in awe at a mountain on the equator capped with snow, and to climb to the top of Africa.
At the heart of the park is the 5896m Mt Kilimanjaro, Africas highest mountain and one of the continents magnificent sights. Its also one of the highest volcanoes and among the highest freestanding mountains in the world, rising from cultivated farmlands on the lower levels, through lush rainforest to alpine meadows, and finally across a barren lunar landscape to the twin summits of Kibo and Mawenzi. (Kilimanjaros third volcanic cone, Shira, is on the mountains western side.) The lower rainforest is home to many animals, including buffaloes, elephants, leopards and monkeys, and elands are occasionally seen in the saddle area between Kibo and Mawenzi.
