OBX Beach Flight
on my most recent trip to the outer banks, my family took an air tour. this is a part of the tour. I was limited to the 11ish minutes on youtube so this isn't all of it. I also had times when the camera was shaking quite a bit because of the combination of the zoom and the plane shaking.
if you happen to be at the outer banks and want a truly memorable experience, check out barrier island aviation
and if you are searching out some royalty free music to use on youtube, check out Kevin Macleod at he has a lot of music in many different genres to choose from.

Sara and Andrew Coastal Helicopters
What a beautiful day to fly - great visibility on a spring day as Andrew and Sara fly over the OBX with us. After departing from Manteo Airport, they head across Pirate's Cove Marina and along the causeway to Jennette's Pier. Heading north along the ocean they cruise by Jockey's Ridge, Nags Head Fishing Pier, before circling the First Flight Monument in Kill Devil Hills and heading back across the sound to Roanoke Island. Thanks for flying with us Sara and Andrew!
At daybreak On Sunday, a debris field laced the outer banks. Boats and jet ski''s were pushed inland
HEADLINE: NC Outer Banks residents assess damage
CAPTION: At daybreak On Sunday, a debris field laced the outer banks. Boats and jet ski''s were pushed inland, piers cut in half and residents assessed the damage. (Aug. 28)
ON SATURDAY HURRICANE IRENE CHARGED THROUGH NORTH CAROLINA''S OUTER BANKS AS A STRONG CATEGORY 1
BLOWING IN WINDS OF OVER 100 MILES PER HOUR AT TIMES
{VOICE-OVER]
SHE STORMED FOR NEARLY 24 HOURS HERE WITH RELENTLESS AMBITION
POWER MANAGED TO STAY ON IN UNTIL EARLY SUNDAY MORNING AS PERSISTENT WINDS AND RAIN FINALLY WON THE BATTLE
AT DAYBREAK-A DEBRIS FIELD LACED THE OUTER BANKS
BOATS AND JET SKI''S WERE PUSHED INLAND NEAR THE BARRIER SOUND
PIERS CUT IN HALF
AND RESIDENTS WALKED THROUGH IT ALL-ASSESSING THE DAMAGE
I expected a little sound side flooding-I have seen that before- but not 5 or six feet like we saw last night.
ACROSS THE BARRIER ISLAND WATER CAUSED FLASH FLOODING OVERNIGHT
AND THE STORM SURGE WATER WAS UP TO SIX FEET IN SOME AREAS AND YOU CAN SEE THAT SOME OF IT STILL STANDS IN THE STREETS OF MANTEO ALONG WITH DEBRIS.
NEARLY EVERYWHERE IN MANTEO TREES WERE SNAPPED
ELECTRICAL CREWS REMOVED BRANCHES STUCK IN THE POWER LINES
VEHICLES POWERED THROUGH FLOODED STREETS AS PEOPLE TRIED TO RETURN HOME
AND FISH-PUSHED IN BY THE SURGE SWAM THROUGH NEIGHBORHOOD STREETS
SUNDAY MORNING ON THE OUTER BANKS WAS ANYTHING BUT ROUTINE
The water was just rushing in so fast I mean it came in here like a freight train.
FREDDY ORTEGA OWNS A RESTAURANT THAT WAS FLOODED-HE WAS OUT EARLY RAISING THE AMERICAN FLAG IN FRONT OF HIS STORE.
The psychological aspect of it-coming in here and seeing things floating that are not supposed to be floating is just devastating.
HURRICANE IRENE CAUSED AT LEAST FIVE DEATHS IN NORTH CAROLINA AND LEFT MORE THAN 500,000 HOMES WITHOUT POWER AFTER MAKING LANDFALL EARLY SATURDAY
RESIDENTS AND CREWS ARE WORKIGN HARD TO RESTORE THE REGION
