Puerto Vallarta 2018: Cuale Island Flea Market
Cuale Island Flea Market is a great attraction that lets you experience nature in Puerto Vallarta, as well as do some souvenir shopping. You can get there very quickly from the Malecon.
The cable bridge is something you must experience. The more people walking on it, the more it wobbles!

→ Who are we?
Hey there! We are Greg and Hillary – a husband and wife team that loves traveling, going on adventures, and helping others do the same! Although we love traveling, at this point in time, we still have full time 9-5 jobs in Dallas, Texas.
In August of 2016, we packed up our things, Greg quit his job, and we moved to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico!
Hillary is working remotely for her CPA firm and Greg is working on this site full time.
We view ourselves as fairly ordinary people, complete with an ordinary income, ordinary jobs, and (unfortunately) an ordinary amount of student loan debt (thanks UNT!).
I know what you are thinking, “Aren’t travel blogs supposed to be written by hippies that don’t have jobs and live in hostels?!” Well don’t you worry, we are working on making that happen! Although we hope to become full time travelers in the next 1-2 years, this site is not necessarily aimed at people that want to travel full time.
Our hope is not that you quit your job and become a long haired, bearded, Volkswagen van driving hippy. Instead, our hope is that after reading our stories you are more inspired to live a more fulfilling life from 5pm-9am!
Why such the emphasis on how ordinary we are? Although we love reading travel blogs, it is easy to feel disconnected from the writers at times. It seems as though they are leading such extraordinary lives that they are somehow doing something that is unreachable to the “average” person.
We are here to prove that wrong. We are here to tell you that even if you work a full-time job and only get two weeks of vacation each year-you still have the power to design an adventurous life for yourself. Afterall, that is exactly where we started before leaving it all behind to live la vida loca!
After having several caffeine induced conversations about how people should travel more and shift their priorities in a way that will lead to a more fulfilling life, we decided to share our
stories with you.
Our purpose in creating Kinetic Kennons is to share our stories of travels, adventures, and funny mishaps and to inspire others to design a life full of exploration. Throughout this site you will find posts about how to go on a cheap weekend trip, funny stories such as the time Hillary forgot to update her passport before an international trip, and inspirational rants on why you should lead a more adventurous life!

Día de Tianguis | Shopping at a Mexican Flea Market ????????
We visited a local Mexican neighborhood flea market in Colonia Las Mojoneras which located about 20 minutes north of downtown Puerto Vallarta. It's open every Sunday from 9:00am to 4:00pm and they close down all of the streets each week to set up temporary shops and restaurants. You can find all kinds of interesting stuff there - kitchen items, tools, clothing, electronics and produce!

¡Hola! My name is Brendin. My husband, Tim, and I moved from Texas to Mexico in September 2017! We love living in Puerto Vallarta, not only because of the natural beautiful surroundings, cultural richness, and low cost of living, but also because of the delicious and abundant local plant foods. Tim and I choose to follow a vegan lifestyle for our health, for the animals, and for the planet! We believe in compassionate living, sustainability, and minimalism. Our videos are about our personal journeys, our life, and what we have learned along the way.

LOCA visits the largest flea market in Puerto Vallarta!
Sunday is a good day for flea market shopping in Puerto Vallarta. The Ladies Outdoor Club Adventures group visited the town of Mojoneras, located just 10minutes past the airport. We took the city bus from the Romantic Zone and the bus stopped in the heart of the market. It took less than 30minutes to get there.
The bargains were endless!! Name brand boots were found in excellent shape and cost only $50pesos! Of course, you have to have patience and a good eye to dig through the pile. The market also sells produce, seafood, kitchenware, electronics and they have many food tents. It's one of the largest markets that exists in Puerto Vallarta!
This market is on Sundays only and we plan to go back!!
Ladies Outdoor Club Adventures is where your friends and adventure are waiting. If you are a woman visiting or living in Puerto Vallarta, we invite you to join us on one of our excursions!

Mexican Flea & Farmer's Market - Tianguis Mojoneras Vallarta mx
Mexican Flea Farmer's Market - Tianguis Mojoneras Vallarta mx. Mojoneras for great local Mexican bargain shopping. This is one of many Vallarta flea markets. Open Sundays only. Used and new items of different sorts, food, music and fresh produce at great bargains. At the time of this video, the U.S. dollar to peso exchange rate was about 18 - 18.5 pesos for every dollar. So a 2.2 bag of avocados cost $1.62 usd.
For Mexican green sauce ( tomatillo salsa verde) that you can use on tamales, tacos, burritos... click this link for a tutorial:
Here is the map of where it's located:
You can park anywhere on the street and walk to towards the central square where all of the action is. There are also parking lots around. The green buses that say Mojoneras take you there. Also, going North from Vallarta in a vehicle, you will see a Corona/Modelo building go past it to next block and make a right there, you are now on Avenida Las Palmas. Take that until the intersection and then turn left. It is about a quarter to a half a mile from there. Park and walk towards the main plaza in the Mojoneras neighborhood. Have fun!

Prices in a Mexican Market // Life in Puerto Vallarta Vlog
Can I get a map of where all that was at?
How much does that cost in dollars? The easiest math is to do 20 pesos to 1 dollar. If something cost 100 pesos it's around 5 dollars. It's closer to 6, but that gives you an estimate.

Walking to Walmart & Shopping in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
This is a quick video of us walking to Walmart from the cruise port in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We also visit the local shopping area next to the ship. The Walmart is only a half mile walk from the ship. It is the cleanest Walmart We have ever seen.
The shopping area by the ship is called Mercado de Artesanias Marina (Marine Craft Market). It has about a hundred stalls with vendors selling all kinds of souvenirs. It is really convenient to the ship. I really don't know if the prices are good.
Puerto Vallarta has a lot of things to do. In the morning we took a shore excursion to the Marietas Islands. Click below to watch the video. We also stopped in Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas. Check out those videos also.
It was a fun cruise (aren't they all). We really enjoyed it.
Take a tour of the Marietas Islands in Puerto Vallarta:
You can take a tour of the ship:
You can tour a cabin on the ship:
