Fort Carlton was a Hudson's Bay Company fur trade post from 1810 until 1885.It was rebuilt by the Saskatchewan government as a provincial historic park and can be visited today.It is about 65 kilometers north of Saskatoon.

This was taken June/09 at Duck Lake, a small town in Saskatchewan. You can see wagon racing every weekend somewhere in Saskatchewan from mid May through till Sept. I used to be the holder and general grunt - harnessing, cooling, choregirl!!

It could be said that this edition of Iowa Outdoors is for the birds.
We spend some time with a club that is on the lookout for young people who have and interest in bird watching. We get a birds-eye view of the state thanks to an Iowan who quite literally flies by the seat of his pants. We examine why the Iowa DNR and Pheasants Forever feel it is important to cooperate in an effort to increase habitat for upland game birds. We found one Iowa farmer who hatched a plan to turn prairie seeds into a cash crop. We’ve kept an eagle eye on the Decorah raptor that became an internet sensation and have exciting news about her travels. And we take a trip to Pikes Peak State Park and the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge.
