Droning Fort Christmas at Christmas - Florida 32709
On December 25, 1837, a force of 2,000 U.S. Army Soldiers and Alabama Volunteers arrived near this spot to construct a fort which was aptly named, Fort Christmas. This fort was only one of over 200 forts built during the Second Seminole Indian War, 1835 - 1842. Today's Fort Christmas is a replica of the aforementioned fort, right off State Route 50, east of the University of Central Florida in Orange County. Today the park incorporates facilities to allow family activities with open spaces, picnic areas with many shade trees, historic structures and a large field containing a baseball diamond.
Fort Christmas is located in Christmas, Florida just off State Road 50, twenty miles east of Orlando enroute to Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, and Canaveral National Seashore in Titusville.

Castillo De San Marcos, St Augustine Florida Fort
A tour of the Spanish fort Castillo De San Marcos in St Augustine, Florida. Built in 1672. It has been occupied by Spain, Great Britain, the Confederate States of America, and The United States of America. The fort is the oldest masonry fort in North America and was built with coquina, a sedimentary rock cut from a nearby island. If you look closely at the walls you can see the coquina is made up of shells and sand. The Castillo is now a national monument and part of the National Park Service. This old St. Augustine Florida fort is supposedly haunted with ghost. If that's what your looking for they're probably hiding in the powder magazine. The entry cost is $7 per person and worth the money.
