I love free walking tours. Most cities have them and you can definitely go on them if you are completely broke. However, I highly suggest tipping the guide $5-$20 because the guide earn a living from these tips. Be fair: if you like the tour and the guide a lot, give as much as you can afford.
Free walking tour of Bogota was very enjoyable because I got to learn the history of the city and of Colombia but I also got to visit some awesome place where I came back later (watch my more recent Bogota Colombia Vlogs for more details).

Bogota has a wonderful nightlife, it is possible to find Bars, Nightclubs, pubs and restaurants of all possible styles; it is guaranteed that every single taste will be satisfied. Bogota is considered to have one of the best gastronomical offers in Latin America, the Latin blood of its residents makes them assist to the local nightclubs to show their dancing skills; also it is possible to find more relaxing plans like having a drink or a coffee in many places around the city, like cultural and recreational activities; all these makes Bogota a wonderful destination if interested in the night life.
Despite of having anything to do during the entire year, the main days for going out are on Fridays and Saturdays, however every day of the week has something to offer. It is important to not forget that the city is located 2.600 m.a.l.s., therefore is a good idea to take a warm jacket when going out, also by law the party places in Bogota are obliged to close at 3 a.m.
To make this guide easier to read we will divide the city in sections, we will indicate the cost and the time to get there and the offers you can find in every one of these places.
THERE ARE PLACES OUTSIDE THE CITY AS WELL; THE BEST OPTION IS ANDRES CARNE DE RES IN CHIA, SATURDAY IS THE BEST DAY TO VISIT THE BEST PARTY PLACE IN ALL BOGOTA. THE OFFER OF NIGHT LIFE IN BOGOTA IS ENDLESS, GET READY TO LIVE IT.

RESTAURANTS:This area of the capital has novelty and excellent gastronomical choices, with both National and International Chefs, with unique and innovative environments and offers for all tastes. The neighborhood of LA CANDELARIA has a perfect environment for a nice dinner due to its stone streets and the history of the capital which is present in all of its houses; The area of LA MACARENA is known by its parks and places where visitors can breathe pure air (besides this area has the best gastronomical offer of the city) and last but not least the INTERNATINAL CENTER, a financial, commercial and hotel sector.
walking in Bogota ( Colombia )
Bogotá is the capital and largest city of Colombia administered as the Capital District, although often thought of as part of Cundinamarca. Bogotá is a territorial entity of the first order, with the same administrative status as the departments of Colombia. It is the political, economic, administrative, industrial, artistic, cultural, and sports center of the country.
Bogotá was founded as the capital of the New Kingdom of Granada on August 6, 1538, by Spanish conquistador Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada after a harsh expedition into the Andes conquering the Muisca. The Muisca were the indigenous inhabitants of the region and called the settlement where Bogotá was founded Bacatá. After the Battle of Boyacá on August 7, 1819, Bogotá became the capital of the independent nation of Gran Colombia. Since the Viceroyalty of New Granada's independence from the Spanish Empire and during the formation of present-day Colombia, Bogotá remained the capital of this territory.

Free Walking Tour Bogota - Testimonial #1
Our friends from the UK having 20 seconds of fame! We are happy that you even enjoyed this little interview :)
Free Graffiti Tour Bogotá | Gran Colombia Tours
Want to learn how graffiti fits into Bogotá’s history and allure?
Bogotá has become a world reference in graffiti. It boasts impressive murals and street art that place it above cities like Miami, Amsterdam, Río, and Ciudad de México. Its rise as one of the key city-canvases in Latin America has made it an attractive destination for the curious tourist and the bold artist. Would you have guessed?
As with graffiti everywhere else, Bogotá’s history with the art has often been tense. But great art can overcome negative labels. Right now, no one would call it vandalism. It has struggled but has earned its place and the city is better for it. The mixture of social and political commentary with a twist of local and foreign styles make Bogotá’s graffiti truly a sight to behold.
Join us in this tour not only of Colombia’s history as told by art but a tour of Bogotá’s streets as a curated museum of amazing artists!
