GT Fishing From Shore. Sri Lanka Trip 2019.
This is a short and easy video about the adventures of two fishermen in Sri Lanka. We started in the south of the island in Matara, but due to bad weather we went to the east coast in Arugam Bay. I think we will make later some detailed videos about the features of catching Great Trevally from the beaches. We will talk about the good locations and baits that we used. Thank you for your interest!

Propstars April 2015 - Dream, Train, Race in Sri Lanka
The Lanka Powerboat Association, UIM Member Federation, has
organized an eight-day training programme with the participation of a top UIM commissioner, John Puddifoot, to develop the sport in Sri Lanka.
The training programme commenced on Thursday with eight selected candidates. This programme will conclude on April 19. The participants are being trained using P750, F4 and OYS powerboats in two locations with theory and on water training. The trainees will receive UIM certification as officials eligible to officiate locally and internationally.
Candidates will follow a basic, advanced and championship course syllabus,at the end of which the Commissioner will conduct an examination which have been designed to accredit and recognize candidates.
Trainees will also be equipped with a range of opportunities to enhance tourism, such as to provide package holiday powerboat experiences, hold corporate events, giving businesses an opportunity to give clients and their workforce a powerboat experience.
The training will also equip them to run courses either as residential or society based for children from the age of 9-16 around the country, developing youth programmes to encourage young adults for the sport, to conduct courses at hotel locations for tourist and Sri Lankan clientele, run local races, officiate and host World Championship International races, and run Grand Prix events.
Powerboating is a family sport. Children as young as 9 are involved with the GT 15 races. The LPA once brought a display race showing F2's in action on Beira Lake. Sri Lanka is a perfect spot for the spot as there are perfect locations, beautiful hotels, plenty of water and there are young people keen to develop skills.

Galle Day Tour with Blue Lanka Tours
Galle, 119km from Colombo, is a major city situated at the tip of the South Western coast of Sri Lanka. Being a coastal area, it is quite hot and humid but has an abundance of beautiful beaches in every town that you pass while travelling from Colombo to Galle. The Galle Fort was built by the Portuguese, fortified later by the Dutch and is well preserved till today. In addition to the Portuguese and Dutch remains, you will also find many British mansions left behind. As for beaches, the Unawatuna Bay probably tops it all and is safe for snorkelling and swimming because a reef protects it. There you have it, a day tour of the city of Galle in a nutshell. In case there is a delay in your departure, try using the Southern Expressway, a recently built highway that can take you to Galle in half the time.
