TOKYO, Japan travel guide: Ginza, Tsukiji Fish Market, Ginza Six, Uniqlo | vlog 5
Ginza, Tokyo, JAPAN! Ginza is Tokyo's most exclusive district and a must-visit place in Japan. When you visit Ginza, it's worth combining with a trip to Tsukiji Fish Market, a short walk from the metro station. Tsukiji Market is still a great place to visit if you want to start your day with some of the freshest sushi for breakfast. The famous early morning tuna auction is not at Tsukiji anymore, but that should not be a reason to skip it. With your tummy full, you're now ready to burn some calories walking in Ginza. Go on a weekend afternoon to see Chuo Dori closed. That's where you find all the designer stores, the new Ginza Six mall and the famed Japanese clothing line Uniqlo. Uniqlo's flagship store is located in Ginza.

► WHO AM I?
Short answer: I am a Brazilian journalist living in the United States. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged the life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!
Detailed answer: ????
P.S.: The guy who occasionally appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and is extremely camera shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time ;-)

Walking in Ginza, Tokyo - The Famous Shopping District - 4K, 60FPS
Oh Ginza... Once a place where upper-class Tokyoites of the older generation went for their weekend shopping. These days however, it feels more like a big tourist trap where entire shops seems to be designed only for visitors arriving in tour buses, looking to bring back as much tax-free goods as possible...
It's still one of the most visually interesting areas in Tokyo though, thanks to the long wide roads lit up by all the upscale brands trying to outdo each other.
In this video, shot on a weekend evening, I'm covering the entire main street (Chuo-Dori), famous for upscale shopping malls like Mitsukoshi, Matsuya and now also Ginza Six, before venturing off to some of the smaller side streets. It was shot just as the sky went from blue to black, so you can see the entire neighborhood slowly light up in this video.

Ginza: Tokyo's Highend Shopping District | Japan VLOG Day 2 (Part 1 of 2)
Located near Tokyo Japan is Ginza, known for its highend retail stores, malls, and huge department stores full of luxury brands.
I wander around to take in the sights and grab a bite to eat at Yoshinoya, which is totally different than in the United States. I also discover that they close down the streets to pedestrians so I took advantage to get some photos.
I also visit one of Ginza's newest stores: Ginza six and find a super fancy Starbucks on the top level.

Ginza Nightlife + Tsukiji Fish Market | Japan VLOG Day 2 (Part 2 of 2)
The second half of the day leaves me somewhere in Ginza. After visiting some huge department stores and attempting to shop at the massive malls, I'm left wanting a bite to eat. I end up walking the 2 miles to Tsukiji Fish Market from Ginza central. We get there as most of the stalls are starting to close but I manage to snag a sashimi bowl.
Nightfall arrives and we head back to the city in search of Bar High Five. For any Anthony Bourdain fans out there, you may recognize the place, since the man himself has visited and vouched for the place. Amazing custom drinks as expected.
It's Saturday night in Tokyo and we had plans to head to AgeHa for some clubbing action but we were just too tired. Instead opted to bowl locally at Saszuka bowl and then hit up another type of bowl; a bowl of soba!

TOKYO EYE 2020 - A New Side to Ginza [1080p]
Ginza is undergoing redevelopment, and new places to shop, dine and sightsee are adding a whole new dimension to this famous shopping district.
Ginza Six
Opened April 2017. The largest department store in Ginza. Home to many shops that present the best of Japanese aesthetics, including kimono boutique Jotaro Saito, makeup concept store Shu Uemura, and Ginza Tsutaya Books, a bookstore where you can buy museum-quality reprints of Kitagawa Utamaro's works.
Tokyu Plaza Ginza
Opened March 2016. This shopping center contains a boutique called Fujimaki Hyakkaten, which features watches made with Arita ware porcelain, ultra-thin beer glasses, long-lasting jeans and other products from all across Japan made with exceptional craftsmanship.
Ginza Place
Opened September 2016. This building features showrooms where you can see cars and electronics packed with state-of-the-art Japanese tech and a restaurant called Kobe Plaisir Ginza, which specializes in scrumptious Kobe beef.
Morioka Shoten
A bookstore that carries just one title at a time. Items related to the book are also displayed in order to create a space that promotes deep immersion in the current book's perspective.
Ginza Asami
A traditional ryotei restaurant along a Ginza backstreet which serves an inexpensive sea bream chazuke lunch.
Barber Yanagi
A barbershop with deep roots, founded all the way back in 1882. The barber wields a Japanese-style razor with deft skill to deliver an ultra-close shave, and even throws in a massage afterwards. A great place to appreciate the superb customer service of traditional Japanese barbers.

Ginza (銀座) is a district of Chūō, Tokyo, located south of Yaesu and Kyōbashi, west of Tsukiji, east of Yūrakuchō and Uchisaiwaichō, and north of Shinbashi. It is a popular upscale shopping area of Tokyo, with numerous internationally renowned department stores, boutiques, restaurants and coffeehouses located in its vicinity. It is considered one of the most expensive, elegant, and luxurious streets in the world.
