Walking in GLASGOW / Scotland (UK) - 4K 60fps (UHD)
Glasgow is the biggest city in Scotland. Famous for its Victorian architecture it is a national cultural hub with the Scottish National opera, ballet and an interesting music scene.
We start our walk at the River Clyde near the La Pasionaria sculpture in the southern city centre. From there we walk on Jamaica St towards the inner city and St Enoch Square. A quick detour through the shopping mall there and we continue northwards on the Buchanan St with many shops.
On our walk we also pass the Museums and the George Square with the Glasgow City Chambers. From the merchant city we head back to the centre and enjoy the street that become quieter now at the end of the day.
From the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall we head West and eventually go back South towards the Glasgow Central Station. We end our tour - now after sunset - right where we started - exactly 1 hour ago - at the River Clyde.

Glasgow / Nick & Friends in Scotland' 2012 : Part 1
Produced by Nick Lido. Featured by Nick Lido's Travel Journal at youtube.com/nicklido and Nick and his bodies Dmitri Purgalvis, Debra and Loretta took a train in Greenock, Scotland, to visit a magnificent Glasgow City.
HISTORY: Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland, and one of the largest in the United Kingdom, and, as of the 2011 census, the Scottish city with the highest population density with 3,395 people per square kilometer. It is situated on the River Clyde in the country's West Central Lowlands. Inhabitants of the city are referred to as Glaswegians.
Glasgow grew from a small rural settlement on the River Clyde to become one of the largest seaports in the world. Expanding from the medieval bishopric and royal burgh, and the later establishment of the University of Glasgow in the 15th century, it became a major centre of the Scottish Enlightenment in the 18th century. From the 18th century the city also grew as one of Great Britain's main hubs of transatlantic trade with North America and the West Indies.

WALKING ALONG SAUCHIEHALL STREET, GLASGOW, SCOTLAND
GLASGOW’s School of Art fire and the Victoria’s Nightclub blaze this year, 2018 has left 75 businesses closed or up for let on the city’s busy Sauchiehall Street.
The two infernos have combined over the space of four months to decimate various small businesses as well as the business of some larger organisations and superstores. The visible fences in the street and ruined buildings just show what had happened there recently.
Sauchiehall Street is one of the most famous streets in Glasgow, partly due to its rich history. The desire of wealthy merchants to own property on the outskirts of the city meant that it was expanded and as a result of this Sauchiehall Street grew. Around 1820 the street was known as Saughie-haugh road, a quiet narrow road with a number of villas and terraces with distinguished names. After the street was widened in 1846, older buildings were replaced with tenements in the 1850s and then some commercial buildings in the 1870s, yet a few of the original villas still remained as of 1896 according to the Ordnance Survey map of Central Glasgow.
Over time, the street has been home to a number of notable buildings. This includes the Glasgow Empire Theatre which was opened in 1897 at 31–35 Sauchiehall Street. The Theatre played host to big names such as Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Dorothy Lamour, Jack Benny and Danny Kaye before it closed on 31 March 1963. The Royalty Theatre was also situated on Sauchiehall Street, opening in 1879 and showing operas, comedies and plays up until its lease ran out in 1913. Afterwards, during the First World War, it was purchased by the YMCA to become a hostel for soldiers and sailors. The building lived out the rest of its days after the war as the Lyric Theatre, before it was demolished in the late 1950s.
Glasgow's first skyscraper, the Art Deco style Beresford Hotel, was built further along Sauchiehall Street in 1938 for the Empire Exhibition. It is now a Hall of Residence for Strathclyde University. Its modern architecture was disliked when it was built and the original mustard-coloured stonework with red fins was rather unkindly described as custard and rhubarb architecture.

Glasgow walk along famous Buchanan Street
Buchanan Street is one of the main shopping thoroughfares in Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland. It forms the central stretch of Glasgow's famous shopping district with a generally more upmarket range of shops than the neighbouring streets: Argyle Street, and Sauchiehall Street.
Buchanan Street was first feued in 1777 and was named after a wealthy Tobacco Lord and former Lord Provost of Glasgow, Andrew Buchanan of Buchanan, Hastie, & Co. He was proprietor of the ground on which it was formed from Argyle Street as far north as Gordon Street. Andrew had died in 1759 and his tobacco empire was inherited by his son James Buchanan of Drumpellier (also twice Lord Provost of Glasgow.
