Diarmuid and Gráinnes Cave Sligo.
Our climb to Diarmuid and Gráinnes Cave 2010.
This cave located above the Gleniff Horseshoe loop road is often said to be the last hiding place of Diarmuid and Gráinne.
Diarmuid died on the nearby mountain slopes while out hunting. He was fatally wounded after being attacked by the legendary wild boar of Benbulben.
The cave is also said to be the burial place of Diarmuid and Gráinne.

The High Road from Mullies to Mullaghmore
Join me on a road trip through some of the most picturesque parts of North West Ireland. We begin our tour on the shores of Glenade Lake, take the high road through Glenade, which is a deep glacial valley, onto the Gleniff Horseshoe, another glacial valley, and then to Mullaghmore, a harbour on the Atlantic Ocean. We go back to Glenade for a sunset over the lake and adventures with a mammy sheep and her lamb.
