Jaydee Brass Band always One of the best in the jazz festivals throughout Europe
It's yet another event taking place in the city during the Derry~Londonderry UK City of Culture celebrations.
Over 80 venues are included in this year's Jazz Trail, with the first event, the Mayor's Charity event in aid of Foyle Search and Rescue, being held on Thursday evening.
Derry Soulseekers, The Red Stripe Band and the Jive Aces are all set to perform.
Derry City Mayor Kevin Campbell said he was 'urging everyone to jump on the jazz bandwagon.'
He added: If there's one thing people in Derry love, its music, and this weekend is the perfect excuse to get out there and take a musical tour of the city.
We will be welcoming thousands of visitors to our streets to enjoy all Derry has to offer when it comes to entertainment, and it's a great opportunity to remind the world why we are the current City of Culture.
I would like everyone to get out there and support the festival, and do so in a responsible and exemplary way. Let us be ambassadors for our city and be proud of all that we have to offer.
Among the acts scheduled to perform are the Overtones, who are making their first visit to the city.

I walked 3/4 way up the mountain in deep snow which was hard work however the view was worth it. Blue skies, sunlit snow, blowing snow over the summit and dark contrasty snow clouds.
