Forever England 1935 John Mills
Forever England is the 1935 UK re-issue of Brown on Resolution (US title - Born for Glory ), a film adaptation of the CS Forester novel Brown on Resolution, starring John Mills.
The plot is centred on the illegitimate son of a British naval officer singlehandedly bringing about the downfall of a German cruiser during World War I. The title role is played by John Mills, his first lead role, and it is also notable for being the first film to use actual Royal Navy ships.
The novel was also later adapted as Sailor of the King (also titled Single-Handed in the US, and sometimes - though rarely - Brown on Resolution), in 1953.
The 1935 version retains the novel's original World War I setting, but in the 1953 remake, the setting is realistically updated to the Second World War, as the Germans resumed commerce raiding with surface warships in 1939.

Classic Class 37 Thrash with D6732 at the North Norfolk Railway - 10/05/19
Recently returned to running condition after a generator replacement, class 37/0 No. D6732 (37032) is finally back on North Norfolk metals after being out of action since October 2016!
After needing a new generator, D6732 was taken by road to Barrow Hill for a replacement and new one. Just over a year later and D6732 was moved to Doncaster by road for tyre turning, before finally coming home to Norfolk a few days later.
It’s back in all its glory, and can be seen here on 10/05/19 in full working order leading a few Sheringham to Holt trips up mostly Deadmans Cutting and Kelling Heath bank. Other places are included too; all with thrash, of course!
Full credit is due to the locomotive owner(s) and the North Norfolk Railway for the restoration of this classic piece of historic brilliance!

Trent Alexander-Arnold was a seven-year-old schoolboy the last time Liverpool lifted the FA Cup. So when it was put to the Kop defender that tomorrow night’s third-round trip to Wolves will be at the bottom of Jurgen Klopp’s list of priorities, his reaction was emphatic. “We’re going there to win,” said Alexander-Arnold, 20, who still remembers the last-gasp Steven Gerrard strike in 2006 that sent Liverpool’s final against West Ham into extra-time before the Reds prevailed on penalties. “It’s not a free hit against Wolves. It’s a chance to win a trophy – and everyone at Liverpool wants to win things. “We’re not going there to get knocked out. We want to win. It becomes a habit. Liverpool’s need to win at Molineux became even more acute on Thursday night when City sentenced them to their first Premier League defeat of the season to cut their advantage at the top to four points. Alexander-Arnold said: “I probably hurt a little bit more because I’m a Liverpool lad and a Liverpool fan. But I know the rest of the players want to win things as much as I do. “Everyone has got to play their part. We’ve got to go out there as a team and try to bring something back home. “The City game has gone and it’s important we now bounce back as quickly as possible. “I’m sure the manager sees it like that. He’ll look to put a strong team out to give us the best chance of going through. “We want to win every competition. That’s how big clubs think. It’s not a case of us dismissing the game as being low down on our list of priorities. “It’s an important game anyway, but even more so after we’ve tasted defeat in the Premier League for the first time.” The Premier League remains Liverpool’s holy grail.
