Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Took a few days off from working on the Pontiac. Went to Grand Rapids, Michigan to the Meijer Gardens... owned but the same family that owns the stores also... and the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. What a fun weekend. Everyone should go to both places. The car museum is 55 miles south of the gardens... but is awesome. My next video will show the cars. It's a long video, but shows lots of great stuff, including the engines.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding

ArtPrize Impact on Grand Rapids and Michigan
ArtPrize Impact on Grand Rapids and Michigan has a far reaching effect that puts West Michigan on the map for more than just art.
When Buy Local Michigan, looked into the question of what is the economic impact ArtPrize has on Michigan we found it far more reaching than just an event.
The goal was to find a variety of businesses and ask them about how their business benefits from ArtPrize.
Tim Calderone, owner of Kilwins McKay Tower-Grand Rapids, states they see an increase better than what he had expected and is pleased to part of the event, the culture and their contribution to Grand Rapids.
Carolyn Lund, co-owner of Earnest Apps, says she feels the impact indirectly based on how ArtPrize puts GR and West Michigan on the map in a global marketplace.
Liz Nolan, Public Relations Director for Restaurant Partners, Inc states that the two venues that host an artist see an increase in revenue. They pull from this by offering specials at their Bagel Beanery, and Sundance Grill, locations.
Joseph Becherer, Chief Curator, Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, comments on how they enjoy being part of the community and are please to see attendance going up during the three weeks of ArtPrize.
According to their website, ArtPrize is recognized as the most-attended public art event on the planet according to The Art Newspaper, and was recently highlighted in The New York Times’ 52 Places To Go in 2016. For 19 days in the early fall, around 400,000 attendees descend upon three square miles of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan where anyone can find a voice in the conversation about what is art and why it matters.
