Granville Island Market is one of the highest rated attractions in Vancouver BC. It's home to many interesting shops and restaurants and the widely popular granville island brewery.
If you're planning on visiting Granville island public market than this video will provide you with a good idea of what you might expect to see and a few recommendations on places to check out.
Granville island has been around almost 100 years and it's artistic community is a wonderful chance to explore local vancouver artists.
I personally like to visit the public market every few weeks to grab some of my favorite foods from the vendors.

Granville Island, Vancouver グランビルアイランド CANADA
Granville Island is a peninsula and shopping district in Vancouver. It is located in False Creek directly across from Downtown Vancouver's peninsula, under the south end of the Granville Street Bridge.
Granville Island provides amenities such as a large public market, an extensive marina, the Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Arts Umbrella, False Creek Community Centre, various performing arts theatres including the Arts Club Theatre Company and Carousel Theatre, fine arts galleries, and variety of shopping areas.
Granville Island Brewing Co. is also the name of a beer company which originated on Granville Island in 1984, but whose main base of operations was moved to Kelowna, British Columbia some time later.

Planning a trip to Vancouver? Learn about Granville Island in this travel video. Beer lovers should make time for a beer-tasting tour of the Granville Island Brewing Company, Canada's first microbrewery.
Granville Island is actually a peninsula, not an island, but it feels like a world apart from Vancouver. It’s not what you’d call quiet, but the atmosphere is different from the rest of the city, with artists and craftspeople thriving in this unique enclave. The island’s biggest attraction is the Granville Island Public Market, where British Columbia’s best artists, artisans, and farmers sell their wares. The farmers’ market is the longest-running one in Vancouver, where you can buy the freshest vegetables, fruit, baked goods, and seafood. On any given day at the market you might find handmade soap, jewelry, artwork, wines, jams, and much more. Vendors have a rotating schedule, so there’s always something new. There’s also always plenty of great things to eat right in the market, so keep an eye out for food vendors. Granville Island is also a great place to go if you’re travelling with children. In addition to the Public Market, there’s a special Kids’ Market with an indoor play area, plus a free public water park. There are also a variety of street performers year round, from musicians to magicians. Granville Island is a peninsula and shopping district in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is located in False Creek directly across from Downtown Vancouver's peninsula, under the south end of the Granville Street Bridge.The peninsula was once an industrial manufacturing area, but today it is now a major tourist destination and working neighbourhood. In 2004, Project for Public Spaces named Granville Island One of the World's Great Places.
Granville Island provides amenities such as a large public market, an extensive marina, a boutique hotel, the Emily Carr University of Art and Design (named in honour of the artist), Arts Umbrella, False Creek Community Centre, various performing arts theatres including the Arts Club Theatre Company and Carousel Theatre, fine arts galleries, and variety of shopping areas. There are two zones remaining from the Island's industrial heyday: a machine shop and concrete plant.
Since its redevelopment in the 1970s, Granville Island has maintained a community of craft studios, including: a Glassblowing studio, two Co-op Printmaking studios, a Fine Art Print Studio, a Luthier, a master saké maker, various Jewellers, the B.C. Potter's Guild Gallery, The Crafthouse Gallery, The Circle Craft shop, art galleries, boatbuilders, a Wood Co-op Shop, Woodworkers studios , etc. A daily Farmer's Market has been ongoing since the early 1990s - this was the first contemporary Farmer's Market in Vancouver.
Granville Island Brewing Co. is also the name of a beer company which originated on Granville Island in 1984, but whose main base of operations was moved to Kelowna, British Columbia some time later. In 2009 it was purchased by Molson's Brewery and continues to brew small batches of its varieties at the Granville Island brewing original site, and offers beer-tasting and tours of their brewing facilities.

Sweet beer lovers this is a brew for you. Unfortunately, I'm not so much of a sweet beer lover, but I'd drink it anyways. Yes, tis true, it was a little too cloying for me. Nevertheless, it's a light crisp beer, very heavy with the malt, and you gotta love it for that.

In this vlog, you'll follow me and Joseph's adventure to Vancouver, British Columbia!!! Took a couple of pit stops around Pioneer Square: Tat's Deli, Waterfall Garden Park and Elms Coffee Roaster.
We passed through Peace Arch Border to get into Canada. Once we were in Vancouver, we checked into our hotel (Comfort Inn Downtown Vancouver, which I highly recommend!). We also checked out David Lam Park where we saw some awesome Cherry Blossoms, took the Aquabus to Granville Island, checked out the brewery there, and lastly ate poutine at Fritz! Nom nom nomm....

Granville Island Brewery Tour (beer time)
This is a group project we did for transportation logistics. It was pretty fun and we got to drink beer at the end of the tour which was illmatic.
