My workplace; the Grote Schuur Hospital
This is the first hospital of South Africa and this is also the hospital where Barnard preformed world's first human-to-human heart transplant on 3 December 1967. Next two months I will proudly work in this hospital during the Patient Partner Project of CASO. Because I had never expected that I became part of a medical team in an academic hospital.

The main feature of Table Mountain is the level plateau approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) from side to side, edged by impressive cliffs. The plateau, flanked by Devil's Peak to the east and by Lion's Head to the west, forms a dramatic backdrop to Cape Town. This broad sweep of mountainous heights, together with Signal Hill, forms the natural amphitheatre of the City Bowl and Table Bay harbour. The highest point on Table Mountain is towards the eastern end of the plateau and is marked by Maclear's Beacon, a stone cairn built in 1865 by Sir Thomas Maclear for trigonometrical survey. It is 1,086 metres (3,563 ft) above sea level, and about 19 metres (62 ft) higher than the cable station at the western end of the plateau.
The cliffs of the main plateau are split by Platteklip Gorge (Flat Stone Gorge), which provides an easy and direct ascent to the summit and was the route taken by António de Saldanha on the first recorded ascent of the mountain in 1503.[4]
The flat top of the mountain is often covered by orographic clouds, formed when a south-easterly wind is directed up the mountain's slopes into colder air, where the moisture condenses to form the so-called table cloth of cloud. Legend attributes this phenomenon to a smoking contest between the Devil and a local pirate called Van Hunks.[5] When the table cloth is seen, it symbolizes the contest.
Table Mountain is at the northern end of a sandstone mountain range that forms the spine of the Cape Peninsula that terminates approximately 50 km to the south at the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. Immediately to the south of Table Mountain is a rugged plateau at a somewhat lower elevation than the Table Mountain Plateau (at about 1000 m), called the Back Table. The Back Table extends southwards for approximately 6 km to the Constantia Nek-Hout Bay valley. The Atlantic side of the Back Table, is known as the Twelve Apostles, which extends from Kloof Nek (the saddle between Table Mountain and Lion's Head) to Hout Bay. The eastern side of this portion of the Peninsula's mountain chain, extending from Devil's Peak, the eastern side of Table Mountain (Erica and Fernwood Buttresses), and the Back Table to Constantia Nek, does not have single name, as on the western side. It is better known by the names of the conservation areas on its lower slopes: Groote Schuur Estate, Newlands Forest, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Cecilia Park, and Constantia Nek.

'Satanists', state security blamed for Muslim cemetery desecration in Cape Town
The Al-Jamah-ah party has slammed the Department of State Security for not detecting a perceived Satanic desecration of about 80 graves at the Mowbray Muslim Cemetery in Cape Town.
It is evil, said party leader Ganief Hendricks.
Earlier this week, tombstones at the cemetery were ripped out of the ground and arranged in the shape of a cross and other shapes.
Most of the tombstones affected were at the top end of the cemetery, next to Groote Schuur hospital.
Cemetery workers have put back most of them after appealing for help to identify which graves they belonged to.
Hendricks believed that Christians would never do such a thing. So, if it was not a Halloween prank, he was convinced Satanists were behind it.
It must have been quite an exercise. It must have been a massive operation, he said, questioning how nobody could have seen anything.
The triangle is symbolism used by Satanists to express their cult, he said.
Hendricks also said that there the perpetrators dug at seven graves, but no human remains were missing.
We are very concerned about all cemeteries in Cape Town now.
Police said they were investigating a case of malicious damage to property.

About Tamboerskloof
=================
Sprawled across the slopes of the Table Mountain range, Tamboerskloof is yet another of the suburbs which form part of the famous Cape Town City Bowl. Ideally positioned on a direct route between the CBD of Cape Town and the seaside suburb of Camps Bay, Tamboerskloof is a suburb which seems to contain a 'little bit of everything. It has a large cross-section of age groups among its population and is well-known for being cosmopolitan in nature.
Tamboerskloof is an old established suburb and it too possesses the same breathtaking views as its neighbouring suburbs.
Properties in Tamboerskloof range from free standing mostly spacious houses, to cottages, townhouses and apartment blocks. However, given the size of the area, there is no more space to build additional homes or apartments. And that which is already there certainly does come at a price. After all, this is another of Cape Town's gems.
Tamboerskloof also utilises the City Bowl when it comes to amenities and schools. It is largely a residential area and sports the odd convenience store, pub and deli. Whilst Tamboerskloof is more of a 'family-life' type of area, it does tend to lend itself to the influences of its closest neighbour, namely Oranjezicht ('Orange View').
Shopping-wise Tamboerskloof residents, by and large, utilise the ever popular Gardens Shopping Centre. For further shopping, the city centre is a twenty minute walk from Tamboerskloof, as is the nightlife at the top of the famous Long Street
Property dwellers in Tamboerskloof, as in the case of the other City Bowl suburbs, are medically served by no fewer than four world class hospitals, namely the Chris Barnard Memorial Hospital, the Cape Town Medi-Clinic, Somerset Hospital and the famous Groote Schuur Hospital.

Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa
Check out Inspired Risk's first feature-length documentary:
Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town in South Africa. It is a significant tourist attraction, with many visitors using the cableway or hiking to the top. The mountain forms part of the Table Mountain National Park, and formerly part of the lands ranged by Khoe-speaking clans, such as the !Uriǁʼaes (High clan), and is therefore known aboriginally as Huriǂoaxa. It is home to a large array of fauna and flora, most of which is endemic.
The main feature of Table Mountain is the level plateau approximately three kilometres (2 mi) from side to side, edged by impressive cliffs.
The cliffs of the main plateau are split by Platteklip Gorge (Flat Stone Gorge), which provides an easy and direct ascent to the summit and was the route taken by António de Saldanha on the first recorded ascent of the mountain in 1503.
The flat top of the mountain is often covered by orographic clouds, formed when a south-easterly wind is directed up the mountain's slopes into colder air, where the moisture condenses to form the so-called table cloth of cloud. Legend attributes this phenomenon to a smoking contest between the Devil and a local pirate called Van Hunks. When the table cloth is seen, it symbolizes the contest.
Table Mountain is at the northern end of a sandstone mountain range that forms the spine of the Cape Peninsula that terminates approximately 50 kilometres (30 mi) to the south at the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. Immediately to the south of Table Mountain is a rugged plateau at a somewhat lower elevation than the Table Mountain Plateau (at about 1,000 m or 3,300 ft), called the Back Table.
The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway takes passengers from the lower cable station on Tafelberg Road, about 302 metres (991 ft) above sea level, to the plateau at the top of the mountain, at 1,067 metres (3,501 ft). The upper cable station offers views overlooking Cape Town, Table Bay, Lion's Head and Robben Island to the north, and the Atlantic seaboard to the west and south.
The original construction was awarded in 1926 to the former world-renowned cable way company Adolf Bleichert & Co. of Leipzig, Germany, taking more than two years to build the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway, due to infrastructural works, official opening was on October 4, 1929.
The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway has been refurbished three times since its first inauguration in 1929. The first refurbishment occurred in 1958, the second in 1974, whereas the third, latest and most important reconstruction has been started in 1996, which began operation in 1997 and included a Rotair panorama gondola manufactured by the Swiss company Garaventa AG - CWA (Doppelmayr Garaventa Group).
Many improvements have been introduced since 1929, with new and bigger gondolas that increased capacity from 20 up to 65 passengers per gondola. However, both the valley and mountain station buildings are original, even they have been extensively upgraded. The new cable cars give a faster journey to the summit, and rotate through 360 degrees during the ascent or descent, giving a panoramic view over the city.
The top cable station offers viewpoints, curio shops, a restaurant and walking trails of various lengths.
