Discover Chur the Oldest City in Switzerland
Join us as we discover Chur, the oldest city in Switzerland with it's fine mountain setting, twisting alleys and historic buildings.
Celts, Franks, Romans, and Ostrogoths all stepped on Chur’s stones and ruled here. As soon as you enter the Old Town you will notice the beautiful relics of old times. If you decide to take a guided tour, you’ll be hearing amusing anecdotes and gruesome stories from civil wars and Chur’s history in general.
Numerous boutiques, restaurants, bars, museums and galleries in the largely traffic-free Old Town create a Mediterranean-style atmosphere.

I didn't have any expectations coming to Liechtenstein.. it was just to tempting no to, so had to do it:)
I was only here 24 hours, but was able to get a good sense of this little principality.
What I saw was beautiful, I walked the most of any of the days on this hole trip and that's saying a lot:) Went through the Prince's vineyard which was so stunning and idylic.
The vadudz castle, the the actual prince lives has a stunning view. I made sure to take my time and really open my senses and take it all in.
This is something I love to do, and when I travel alone it's a lot easier. Traveling with other people is fun of course, but traveling alone has some serious purks as well:)
On the walk down I actually got a bit emotional, realizing that I finally made it to the alp.. I have always wanted to come here, but this time I prioritized, spend the money and the happines I felt from taking my self serious and achieving my dream was overwhelming:)
Liechtenstein is a great little country:)

Lugano, Switzerland Tour in 2006
Lugano is a city in southern Switzerland. It is the 9th largest city of Switzerland by population, the largest city in Ticino, and the largest city with an Italian speaking majority outside of Italy.
Zurich, Switzerland: Old Town walking tour
Zurich's Old Town extends about five blocks in from both sides of the river and stretches for about a mile. The right bank of Zurich, or east side, of the river has the larger cluster of old buildings and is considered the prime district for visitors. Much of your day can be devoted to exploring its many little side alleys and shops. Zurich is one of Switzerland's great cities for walking.

For Smartphone
Method #1
Relax your eye muscles as if looking into the distance.
A third screen will appear in the middle when your eyes relax.
That middle view is in 3D stereo.
Method #2
Bring the smartphone screen really close to your eyes (until you touch it with your nose).
At this distance your eyes cannot focus on the 3D video and they look somewhere behind the 3D video.
Focus as though you are looking through the image into the distance.
Now, slowly push the smartphone away from you, while trying to keep the eyes off focus.
At some point you will see the 3d image.
For a PC monitor
First, minimize the screen on your computer so the video screen is smaller than one hand width wide.
(same size as a smartphone screen)
Relax your eye muscles as if looking into the distance.
A third screen will appear in the middle when your eyes relax.
That middle view is in 3D stereo.
Zurich Police: In Touch with the Citizens
The clip illustrates an identity check including a search of jacket and pockets (a superficial body search).
On Wednesday afternoon, March 2, 2011, there were two police vans and a Smart at Lowenplatz in Zurich. It looked like a public information campaign, especially since their Smart was carrying a logo (8ig - Respekt schafft Sicherheit, @tention - respect creates saftey in English) referring to the campaign's internet site ( and several police officers were standing together in groups of two to four up to six, talking to interested citizens, explaining their job. At least that's what it looked like to me. It looked rather like a PR campaign than anything else. I even thought they were handing out brochures. Or was that my imagination? Time for lunch in any case.
Coming back from lunch I noticed two officers fining a SUV that seemingly was standing somewhere where it shouldn't. Anyway, I thought that they can't really do a public image campaign demonstrating that Zurich police is in touch with the people and at the same time ostentatively ignore cars that have been parked off-shore around the corner, can they? So there was nothing special about them fining that SUV. Time for a walk.
After my digestion walk at Schanzegraben I returned to Lowenplatz.
Now they were searching a guy next to the Tram station. He looked a little like a homeless, beardy etc. He had to put his backpack and two bags on the ground. Obviously the police were searching him.
I didn't bother. I thought the guy might have done something suspicious and so they had to check him although they were actually busy doing their public PR presentation in touch the with the citizen or similar at Lowenplatz. I walked on.
Only 20 or 30 meters later I saw the next guy getting escorted to the side of the street. It was obvious the two officers were going to search him. Now I started to ask myself what kind of public information campaign this was supposed to be... I was slightly irritated. They weren't publicly demonstrating body searches, were they? Yet, the presence of that marketing Smart carrying their campaign's logo, @tention - respect creates safety (originally 8ig - Respekt schafft Sicherheit), confirmed to me that they were performing a public demonstration of their every day work. Absolutely. This looked like a classic public promotion. So, I started to frame that second search (see the video). In respect of their promo Smart, I thought it might be a public demonstration in favour of the interested citizens, an opportunity to touch and feel your police.
The second part of the story hasn't been published yet (yes, the story continues where this clip ends).
I first have to distort the faces of two officers with a suitable video editing software due to legal and privacy disputes in Switzerland. And I'm not going to spend 1000 bucks for that software. Neither am I going to pirate any software. So, we'll have to wait until I manage to distort these faces with the home version of the software.
Yes, you've got it. This wasn't a public information PR campaign presenting Zurich police really in touch with the citizens. They were merely assisting ticket controls of Zurich public tansport... The two officers I met explained to me it was called SiSa, short for Sicherheit und Sauberkeit, Safety and Cleanliness in English (for an in-depth explanation in Swiss German dialect language see ).
I don't know what their promotion car (the Smart, right) was doing at the site. But you can check out their official information campaign 8ig (@tention in Engish) on YouTube:

(FI GS 700!) The place I live in - Schindler 7000 Traction Lifts (Main)
This lift has one of the rarest fixtures of Schindler 7000, FI GS 700! There is also FI GS 300, but that is not used on this lift. There is also an additional handicap panel with the D4 buttons with braille and illuminating tactile. In my condo, there I also a Schindler 5500 glass lift in front that serves the facility floors (e.g. library, meeting rooms). As I live here, there will be more retakes of this lift (as this was taken before the building was complete). Every floor has a hall indicator which is quite convenient. They should've put it with the LOP instead, but I'm sure that this is more convenient for the guests here.
This is an undisclosed location. If you know the name of this building, please do not disclose the name!
