Frankfurt, City Walk - Germany 4K Travel Channel
The next morning we first visit Goethe's birthplace at the Großer Hirschgraben. Johann Wolfgang Goethe lived here until he went to Weimar at the age of 26. The phase was interrupted by his years of study in Leipzig and Strasbourg. In the 2nd World War, the house was destroyed, but the facilities could be brought to safety before. From 1947 to 1951 the reconstruction took place. The building to the left of it is currently being converted into a modern museum.
Without staying long at the Goethe House, we go on to the Roßmarkt, a square with the Gutenberg monument in the center. One set it up to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the invention of the letterpress art.
From here we can see the panorama terrace on the Maintower, which we will visit later.
Directly next to the Roßmarkt is the Goetheplatz. This square is also dominated by a monument. It represents, as you might expect Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Yet, at our visit, the statue was wrapped in a European flag, which probably proves that Goethe was a European. With this action, Pulse of Europe e.V. wants to set a sign for the future of Europe and counteract the divisive tendencies.
We cross the third adjacent square, the Rathenauplatz, turn into the Steinweg and reach the Hauptwache, a central traffic junction of the city. The Hauptwache used to be a guardroom and prison in the middle of the city. The most prominent prisoner was Johann Erasmus von Senckenberg, who spent 26 years here.
The silhouette of the Hauptwache has changed considerably in recent decades. In 2005, one demolished the telecommunications tower behind the Galeria Kaufhof and replaced by a huge shopping mall and business center. We stroll along the Zeil, Frankfurt's most important shopping street, in the meantime planted with trees.
We also find Christmas stands at the Hauptwache. The one with Christmas cookies for dogs seemed the most original to us.
Suddenly we see a group of people with warning vests carrying lots of shopping bags. They stand motionless on the sidewalk. The running passers-by look somewhat surprised at the group.
We briefly enter into conversation with Prof. Snežana Golubović from the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, who stage artistic interventions in public space here.

'53 GDR workers waged a large-scale anti-government demonstrations to commemorate the day June 17 streets named after the holiday held each chapter. But what a tremendous market that was similar to the title of the artwork and craftsmanship flea market as we know it. And there was also a flea market fun as we know it. From exotic to everyday life need art, it was pouring out all kinds of things people were also looking for various things they need. The stalls selling books, unlike elsewhere in the flea market was impressive to many. Gatatneunde will sell several kinds of books, and the importance of history I never thought I'd heard that the Germans have a thorough temperament has also written a book on love relationships. Shops selling the picture is also quite common. Picture taken on a tremendous gallery was like paintings, but not naively reached the end of its sincerity. I had to know why the arts and artisans markets. Kangaroo, both treble clef, who face made of wire. Making it all the next days he was just quietly do not care what self is not to sell goods to customers. It looked like his work very much like people. 20 years ago, I wanted to make something for themselves in this way. Did you want to create the most beautiful jewelry I know. It was just the name. Cause everyone is like a jewel spare his own name. This is the best jewelry his name. Those who naively express their feelings and thoughts. Although many of the acclaimed and respected, even if not get, like their front part is ttubeok ttubeok walking turtle, who quietly goes Berlin opens up a world of his own. Art was not to separate them in. Their art was soaked in life.

Places to see in ( Mainz - Germany )
Mainz is a German city on the Rhine River. It’s known for its old town, with half-timbered houses and medieval market squares. In the center, the Marktbrunnen is a Renaissance fountain with red columns. Nearby, a distinctive octagonal tower tops the Romanesque Mainz Cathedral, built of deep red sandstone. The Gutenberg Museum honors the inventor of the printing press with exhibits, including 2 of his original bibles.
Strategically situated at the confluence of the Rhine and Main Rivers, Mainz has been the capital of the German federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate since 1946. This lively city has a sizeable university, pretty pedestrian precincts and a savoir vivre dating from Napoleon's occupation (1797–1814). Strolling along the Rhine and sampling local wines in a half-timbered Altstadt tavern are as much a part of any Mainz visit as viewing the fabulous Dom, Chagall’s ethereal windows in St-Stephan-Kirche, or the first printed Bible in the bibliophile paradise of the Gutenberg Museum.
Once the episcopal seat of the influential Prince-Electors, the civilized origins of Mainz date back to around 38 BC, when the Romans built a citadel here. The city's location at the confluence of the Rhine and the Main is ideal for trade, something reflected by the artifacts kept in the Landesmuseum, that show there have been settlements here since 300,000 BC.
The most logical starting point is the Dom, the Cathedral of St Martin and St Stephan, especially on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, when the farmers' market is open. Although the cathedral was actually started in 975, most of what is seen today was built from the 11th to the 13th centuries. At the Dom und Diözesanmuseum in the cathedral cloisters, you can truly witness the opulence and wealth controlled by the Church in Mainz.
Mainz is also the home of the man identified by Time Magazine as the most important individual in the last millennium, Johannes Gutenberg, the inventor of the moveable type printing press. Mainz is also the home of the music publisher Schott Music.

Places to see in ( Wiesbaden - Germany )
Places to see in ( Wiesbaden - Germany )
Wiesbaden is a city in the western German state of Hesse. Its neoclassical Kurhaus now houses a convention center and a casino. The Kurpark is an English-style landscaped garden designed in 1852. The red, neo-Gothic Market Church on Schlossplatz is flanked by the neoclassical City Palace, seat of State Parliament. Museum Wiesbaden displays expressionist paintings by Alexej von Jawlensky and natural history exhibits.
Lined with magnificent neoclassical buildings that were rebuilt after WWII, Wiesbaden, the state capital of Hesse, is one of Europe's oldest spa towns, with hot springs still flowing today. It's 40km west of Frankfurt, across the Rhine from Mainz. Wiesbaden's name translates as 'meadow baths', reflecting both its thermal baths and beautiful expanses of parkland. The city lies at the eastern edge of the Rheingau wine-growing region, which stretches along the Rhine's right (northern) bank west to the Rüdesheim area of the Romantic Rhine.
Renowned Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoevsky (1821–81) amassed huge debts at the city’s gambling tables in the 1860s, which inspired his masterpiece, The Gambler. Home to the European headquarters of the US Army, Wiesbaden has a strong US military presence, with around 19,000 US citizens based here.
Wiesbaden is a historic spa city which has catered to people from countries near and far for many centuries, back to the Romans who knew it as Aquis Mattiacis. Wiesbaden is one of the oldest spa towns in Europe with 26 (today: 14) hot springs.
Today it is part of the larger Rhine area and profits from its proximity to the Frankfurt Airport and the business centre of Frankfurt. During peak times (trade fairs, conventions, etc.) a lot of business travellers stay in Wiesbaden instead of in Frankfurt and relax from the busy metropolis in this smaller city with a charming old city.
Wiesbaden is very well connected by many highways from Frankfurt, Cologne or Mainz. Trains travel frequently and are very enjoyable. Travel times by car are roughly 15 min (from Mainz), 30 min (from Frankfurt), or 2 hr (from Cologne / Köln).
