Hara Model Railway Museum has opened in 2012 in Yokohama, just five minutes' walk from Yokohama Station.
Its collections feature exquisitely reproduced valuable models from around the world and models that run with a roar, all of which are amazing pieces.
An exciting wonderland, the museum gives you a fun close-up feel for railway technology and allows you to travel the world through model railways.

The Hara Model Railway Museum - The largest model train show in Japan
This model railroad layout might be the largest model railroad display in O Scale in Japan. The Hara Model Railway Museum is a large exhibit and collection of model trains from Japan, Europe and the United States. It is located near Yokohama Railway Station. Inside the big exhibition hall, they call it Ichiban Tetsumo Park, there is a very large model railroad layout with model trains including steam locos and electric locomotives and trolley cars. An amazing feature is the overhead line because electric locomotives get their power directly from the catenary. It is a beautiful display although German trains, American trains as well as Japanese trains are driving parallel on the railway line. This mixed railroad operation never existed in reality.

The Hara Model Railway Museum is a collection of highly detailed 1 Gauge (approximately 1/32 scale) trains custom built by Nobutaro Hara. The museum features an operating 30m x 10m 1 gauge layout featuring Hara's models. There are models of trains from all over the world including Japan, North America, and Europe.
The museum also features an HO layout depicting Yokohama city that operates on a nine minute day and night cycle with custom lighting and sounds.
The museum is located in Yokohama, Japan about an hour south of central Tokyo by train.

The museum has 6,000 model railway items are on display. The centrepiece of the museum is a 30-metre x 10 metre diorama called Ichiban Tetsumo Park which features 1 gauge (45 mm gauge) model trains from around the world, and has approximately 450 metres of track. The layout features working overhead lines to power trains via their pantographs.

Hara Model Railway Museum Yokohama
The Hara Model Railway Museum is a model railway museum in Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Japan, which opened on 10 July 2012. Managed by Mitsui Fudosan, the museum houses the extensive collection of model trains built and amassed by the Japanese model railway enthusiast Nobutaro Hara.

横浜市に今年7月にオープンした原鉄道模型博物館。
そこには鉄道模型コレクターの第一人者、原信太郎さん(93)が、その長い人生で製作、蒐集してきた鉄道模型の数々が、訪れる人を夢中にさせている。
中でも圧巻は、一番ゲージ(軌間45mm 1/32スケール)という、重厚かつリアルな鉄道模型のレイアウト。その名もいちばんテツモパーク。
架線から集電するというリアルなそのジオラマは世界一の規模を誇っている。
鉄道を愛し、模型作りに情熱をかけてきたその人生を重ね合わせながら、鉄道模型が繰り広げる情感あふれる世界に浸る。

The HARA Model Railway Museum of the highest level in the world 原鉄道模型博物館
HARA Model Railway Museum is located from JR Yokohama Station in the place of on foot 5 minutes. The huge collection of Mr. Nobutaro Hara globally known as a producer and a collector of the railroad models, is exhibited in the museum. The number of the models currently exhibited is about 1000 cars. Highlight is the World's Largest diorama at about 310㎡ space, and the railroad models run through the Europian townscape reproduced with reality.
