How to get from Zeebrugge to Bruges
I was lucky enough to visit Bruges on my last cruise. It is such an interesting place, made up primarily of, cobbled streets, market squares, and historic buildings. I would definitely recommend a visit if you ever get the chance!

Bruges is the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders in the Flemish Region of Belgium, in the northwest of the country.
The area of the whole city amounts to more than 13,840 hectares, including 1,075 hectares off the coast, at Zeebrugge (from Brugge aan zee,[2] meaning Bruges by the Sea). The historic city centre is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO. It is oval in shape and about 430 hectares in size. The city's total population is 117,073 (1 January 2008), of whom around 20,000 live in the city centre. The metropolitan area, including the outer commuter zone, covers an area of 616 km2 (238 sq mi) and has a total of 255,844 inhabitants as of 1 January 2008.
Along with a few other canal-based northern cities, such as Amsterdam, it is sometimes referred to as the Venice of the North. Bruges has a significant economic importance, thanks to its port, and was once one of the world's chief commercial cities. Bruges is well known as the seat of the College of Europe, a university institute for European studies.

Note: I am still trying to get used to vlogging -- especially in public. I am on my journey of working on being more comfortable (and less awkward) about pulling my camera out in public and talking to it. I am mostly trying to juggle my comfort level and the comfort level of the people I am traveling with. I'm working on getting better, so please be gentle!
Thank you so much for watching & I hope you subscribe!

Tour with the Free Shuttle Bus in Bruges - Belgium 4K Travel Channel
The free shuttle bus in Bruges is very helpful. It runs every 20 minutes.
The central junction of the shuttles is Jan van Eyck Square. Here, one shuttle bus drives the long northern loop, the other one goes south. Many sights of the city are along the way. The southern loop proves for us to be particularly helpful since it represents a direct connection between the station and the center of the city.
As we wait for the bus at Jan van Eyck Square, a dog club passes by. The members walk their dogs together through the city. Except for a few exceptions, the dogs are only dachshunds.
The bus goes through the Wijnzakstraat, the Kraanplein, and through the Jakob von Ooststraat past the Municipal Theater, Royal City Theater, to the egg market.
Through the Geldmunstraat and Noordzandstraat, we reach the Concert Hall, Concertgebouw. From here we go directly to the train station.
On the way back, the route takes us along the barge path to Katelijnepoort, where a cargo ship is passing the swinging bridge.
The Katelijne stop is diagonally opposite the Academie Brugge DKO, an academy of fine arts and audiovisual arts. It is the ideal stop to visit the Godshuizen.
Via Mariastraat the bus reaches Simon Stevin Square.
Next stop is at the Hof van Watervliet in the narrow street Oude Burg. From there we continue via the Wollestraat to the market place, Grote Markt.
Through the Vlamingstraat and the Academiestraat, we get back to Jan van Eyck Platz.
We didn't take the northern loop due to lack of time.

Chocolate and Canal Tour in Bruges - Belgium 4K Travel Channel
Before we start for our Canal tour by a boat, we stroll through the Breidelstraat between Grote market and castle. Here you find the Beer Museum. However, we prefer to look around in the chocolate shop La Belgique Gourmande. In addition to the many Belgian specialties, we find tools made of chocolate. You actually get the impression that the tools could come from a blacksmith's shop.
Incidentally, we had a quick chat about Bruges with the nice saleswoman.
We pass the town hall on the right and pass the Blinde-Ezelstraat. A small bridge leads over the Groenerei Canal. On the other side of the canal is the Vismarkt (fish market), but at this hour there is hardly any operation. On the right-hand side, there is a jetty, where we can board a boat.
The boat goes eastwards along the canal until we reach the Coupure Canal junction and turn north. Shortly before the bridge with the Camerstraat, we turn again to the west and reach the former harbor at the Jan van Eyck Square.
Now we take the same way back to the jetty. After turning into the Groenerei Canal, we are made aware of the Secret Garden Luxury Suites. What, with its large fireplaces, resembles a factory building, is an upscale retirement home.
After passing the jetty, we reach the Dijver Canal and turn south and immediately afterward back west. This corner is one of the most beautiful in Bruges. But we will come back again on a walk.
We pass a small park on the left side and see the Church of our Lady in front of us. Here is the burial place of Duke Charles the Bold and Maria of Burgundy. Maximilian I requested that his heart is enclosed at their feet in honor of Mary.
