BANGKOK TO HUA HIN BY RAILWAY THAILAND. GREAT EXPERIENCE
Railway journey that took for ever ! From Bangkok to Hua Hin. What ever time they say, add another hour. this train never went faster than 40 miles an hour . Slowly through Bangkok, the trains stops at many Bangkok railways stations before head out into the Thailand countryside. Eventually after many many hours we arrived in a very dark Hua Hin Railway Station.
But i would say it was a great experience, and I would do it again.
there was pleanty of food and drink on offer during the journey, and it was all reasonably priced too. All in all, its an experience of Thailand.
Evason Hua Hin Resort, Cheap Thai Eateries, Thaifoodies Trip to Pranburi, Thailand
Book your stay at Evason Hua Hin with Agoda for the best price!
This is a post of a trip that intrepid Food critic and producer extraordinaire Nut made to Pranburi Thailand without Brian (hey, that's me!) earlier this year. Pranburi is about 3.5 hours southwest of Bangkok just 30 minutes south of Hua Hin. Hua Hin and ther Prachuap Khiri Khan province has long been the preferred Thai family, weekend destination. A much more family friendly alternative to the more famous or infamous Pattaya which is closer to Bangkok by 2 hours.
During this trip Babe and Nut stayed at the Evason Hua Hin Resort and checked out the grounds, facilities, and food. Babe also checked out some great, local spots to eat when you are visiting the area. All pictures and video taken by Thaifoodies on site in Pranburi.

Babe stopped by one of her favorite local eateries Jae Tim Restaurant for lunch - Jae Tim doesn't have a website but staff at the Evason or any hotel in the area can help you get there (tel. 091-265-8464) Have a peek at Jae Tim Restaurant
A meal by the sea was in order next and Babe decided on in-house eatery The Coast Restaurant at the Evason Hua Hun - have a look at the yummy fare:
After a good night's sleep and a hearty Breakfast buffet at the Evason Hua Hin Resort (see video for details) Babe stopped by Ley Cafe for a bit of lunch:

HUA HIN NEW YEARS EVE 2016
So it’s a Taxi ride to the Clock Tower central Hua Hin located on the busy Phetkasem Rd. This is the main drop off point for the Mini Buses coming from Bangkok and is always busy. We walk through the main temple and they are preparing it for the New Year’s eve celebration.
We eat at one of the restaurants located behind the Temple. These are plentiful and lots of choice. IF….they are busy then its a good indication that they are good. My favourite places to eat are ‘ON ON’ which is the first restaurant you will see on your right at you exit the rear of temple car park. Also ‘MOONSHINE’ is excellent which is further down on your right.
After food we have a walk around the ‘GIRLY BARS’. As you can see most of the girls appear friendly and were happy to be filmed. There is another bar are on Soi 80 which is close by - 150 Baht by Taxi - and cheaper!
Then it’s Market Village for the main party. As you can see it was pretty busy.
There is band and a DJ playing at the venue. The final count down is done and we welcome th new year in 2017. Where did 2016 go?
I stayed for a few beers then it was a Tuk Tuk Taxi home. It was a long day filming, walking, eating and drinking. I got home exhausted at 2 AM.
As always Thanks for the support. My Little channel is growing slowly but surely.

Train Padang Besar to Bangkok
The train journey was a peaceful one, Sleeper train cars are equipped with a Restaurant Car, where the staff cook dinner breakfast and lunch on the move.
Yes it is not the best of restaurant cars you would find elsewhere, yet great experience and good facility to have.
Also along the trip it there longer stops at some stations and the platforms are full of food stalls.
This is the art of travelling in far east countries.
The bed was really comfortable and I had a good night sleep.
Toilet facilities are also clean and yes please don't have to compare with modern rail network of the world.
