MoT and Repair Centre in Hull East Yorkshire Business For Sale
Hull, East Yorkshire, England
Advert Ref: 2801
Business Description
Preferred Commercial is delighted to offer for sale this vehicle service and MoT testing centre, which was established in the 1950s and has been operated by our client since 1984. The garage is only now offered to the market due to our client's wish to retire. The business trades 6 days a week, generating a turnover in the region of £120,000 per annum with a gross profit of 40%, derived from vehicle repairs, servicing, diagnostics and MoT testing. We feel the turnover could be further increased by embarking on a simple marketing campaign and perhaps from the introduction of a website advertising the business and contact details. Our client has gained an enviable reputation over 25 years of trading and is renowned for providing a quality service. The premises are well-equipped to suit the trade and boast multiple work areas. We feel this business represents an ideal opportunity to acquire an already busy garage in such a desirable location. Early negotiations with Preferred Commercial must come highly recommended.

Public House in Hull East Yorkshire For Sale
Hull, East Yorkshire, England
Advert Ref: 3183
Business Description
Preferred Commercial is delighted to offer for sale this traditional public house, which was established in 1820 and which has been in our client's hands since 2004. The business is only now being placed on the market due to our client's wish to retire. The Holderness Hotel is run at a pace to suit, opening lunch times and only 2 evenings a week and generating a turnover in the region of £195,000 per annum with a gross profit of 45%, derived from wet sales only. The pub is host to a darts team and there is potential to introduce pool teams and further darts teams. A new owner could increase turnover by opening every night. There are popular karaoke evenings and a new owner could build upon these. The Holderness Hotel benefits from a loyal customer base from the surrounding area. There is spacious owners' accommodation to the first floor and a large beer garden to the rear. Our client caters for private functions, such as parties, wedding receptions and wakes and we feel a new owner could promote this side of the business further. There is potential to introduce a web site offering information about the pub and any events, which we feel will help to promote the business. This is an ideal opportunity to acquire a well-established public house business with scope for future growth. Early viewing must come recommended.

161. NORTH OF ENGLAND TOUR - PART 2: ACROSS THE HUMBER AND OVER THE MOORS
In June I embarked on a four day tour of Northern England. I travelled a distance of almost 1000 miles along A and B roads taking in the rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds, the majestic North Yorkshire Moors, the stunning Dales and the high hills of the Pennines, before dipping down to explore the beautiful Lake District, returning through the riding heaven of the Peak District.
In this episide I take a closer look at the Humber Bridge and ride over the North Yorkshire Moors.
I hope you enjoy watching it as much I enjoyed doing it.
