Antigua - Driving to St John's, Heritage Quay, Exhibition Centre, Market
In Antigua driving to St. John's from Five Islands village past the fisherman's wharf, the Cruise Ship Terminal, Heritage Quay, the Exhibition and Cultural Centre and then the market.
Driving in Antigua is a little chaotic compared to most of the North American and even some African driving I've done. I recommend hiring a driver for at least part of a day before trying it yourself - get a feel for the rhythm and pace of the road. People are generous and decent about driving and traffic for the most part, we found, so while a little ratting, it is not a road rage scenario at all - people are generous within the bustle and road insanity.
Oh, and when the guide books say people will just stop in the middle of the road and have a chat with their friends - it's true. And relatively regularly occurring. Go slow, be mellow - you'll do fine. - James M. Burton

St John's Antigua Cruise Port Tour (4K)
Tour the Antigua Cruise Port Terminal area at St John's. We were on the MSC Divina cruise ship docked at the Heritage Quay terminal along with the Royal Caribbean Jewel of the Seas. If you are looking for things to do other than shopping- we took a short taxi ride to visit the nearby Fort James beach (see our video here: ), then walked around the port area, which included the historic Redcliff Quay Cruise Pier where the Seven Seas Explorer and the Pullmantur Zenith were docked.
There are plenty of nice views out towards the cruise ships. It is also a lively scene with local Antiguan performers singing, dancing, and even doing the Limbo while on fire, and spitting fire, lol.
There were a ton of shops & restaurants/bars at port including Diamonds International (surprise suprise), Fred's Belgian Waffles & Ice Cream, Big Banana, St Johns Antigua Harbour View Bar & Cafe plus much more. There was even a casino (King's Casino).
As an added bonus, we included our cruise ship sail-away from Antigua video- enjoy!
This was from our December 2017 cruise aboard the MSC Divina.
