The Best Ubud Bali Adventures 2019: Hidden Waterfalls / Rice Terraces & Leeches?
There are a ton of awesome things to do around Ubud - most popular Bali adventures are the waterfalls and rice terraces. Although these Ubud activities can get pretty popular and touristy, like the Ubud rice terrace swing, we have some travel tips for you that can be done in a single day trip.
Wake up early, and rent a scooter - head to the Tegalalang rice terrace first - it has the famous swing that everyone takes photos on!
After that, head to the three waterfalls in the video, you can see all three and because they are a bit outside of Ubud, they won't be as crowded as the waterfalls right near the city.
Everything cost about $1 USD for entree, so it's practically free. They have water and snacks at each stop.
If you have more time in Ubud, you can see each one of these in a day, rather than seeing all 3 in a day, we just needed to see a lot n a short amount of time!

Best Bali Tours: North South East West and Ubud Bali
The best Bali Tours shares the top tourist attractions and best areas to visit in North Bali, South Bali, East Bali, West Bali as well as central Ubud, Gianyar and Kintamani (full itinerary below). In total this quick list of Best Bali Tours took us 3 weeks, although there was a fair bit of relaxation between, and the same Bali tour could probably be covered in 2 weeks if hurried. Anyway, below is the full route of our Ultimate Tour of Bali starting from Ngurah Rai International Airport (near Denpasar) and travelling north to start in Ubud the cultural capital of Bali.
1. Ubud (Central Bali): Ubud Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, Kecak Fire & Trance Dance (Pura Dalem Taman Kaja),
2. Gianyar Valleys (Ubud): HOSHINOYA Bali Resort
3. Day Tour 1: Tegenungan Waterfall, 2. Goa Gajah: Elephant Cave, 3. Uma Pakel Agrotourism: Kopi Luwak (civet cat crap coffee) and Giant Swing, 4. Tegalalang Rice Terrace, 5. Pura Tirta Empul Temple).
4. Day Tour 2: Ulun Danu Beratan, 2. Pura Ulun Danu Batur Temple, 3. Mount Batur View Point, 4. Besakih Temple).
5. Amed (East Bali): Local fishing scenes on Amed Beach and views of Mount Agung
6. Northern Bali Attractions: Various Rice fields/terraces, Gates to Heaven (Pura Penataran Agung Lempuyang), Tirta Gangga Water Palace, Twin Lakes (Buyan Lake and Tambingan Lake), Ulun Danu Tamblingan Temple.
7. Lovina (North Bali): Lovina Dolphin Tour and local beach life.
8. North West Bali: Menjangan Dynasty Glamping Resort, Sumberkima Hill Resort, Sumberkima Bay tour with fish farms and Gili Putih Island, and sunset on Pemuteran Beach
9. Journey to South Bali: Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, Taman Ayun Temple, Seminyak
10. Nusa Lembongan: 1 Night at Mahagiri Resort
11. Nusa Penida: Crystal Beach, Broken Beach, Angel Billabong, T-Rex Bay (Kelingking Beach), Rumah Pohon Tree House, Diamond Beach, Atuh Beach.
12. Sanur: Kayumanis Sanur Private Villa & Spa
There are a couple of obvious omissions when it comes to tourist attractions in Bali, such as Tanah Lot, as well as the major beach resorts of southern Bali. However we have covered these destinations before as tourists (and have doubled/tripled up on some tourist attractions by now) and just prefer to avoid them because they are ridiculously touristy these days. Otherwise we aim to share the lesser-known attractions of Bali and the more off-the-beaten-track routes and tours in Bali.

With the end of our Vietnam adventures we're back to our scheduled Bali travel programming! In today's episode we get to find out what Justis and Kenzo were up to when we were away. It turns out that they had an awesome time travelling all over Bali.
In today's episode with the dynamic duo, follow them as the find their way to Bali's newest photo spot, a hidden waterfall known as the Tukad Cepung waterfall. It's an incredible place that you've got to trek to and get some truly epic photos. With god-level rays peeking through the falls and the mist, you're sure to get photos and videos that are going to pop off on Instagram.
In addition to the Tukad Cepung falls, we found ourself in some rice fields and experienced a truly stressful situation with Kenzo's drone. You might have previously seen Kenzo's drone problems, and today we see his drone's issues reach new heights (pun intended).
Such a huge thanks to @rachelsawden for being our guide for this trip!

BEST TOUR IN BALI - Guide to Ubud & Tegallalang Rice Terraces Indonesia
The best tour in Bali is an overnight tour giving you a full guide to Ubud and Tegallalang Rice Terraces. Bali Golden Tour set us up on this amazing 2 day Bali Tour to explore the best places in Ubud and even a glimpse of Bali Volcano, Mount Batur. Watch this video for day 1 of our tour with Bali Golden Tour.
Our Tour:
We started day 1 of the best tour in Bali in Ubud where we got to see a traditional Balinese dance performance called the Barong and Kris dance. If you guys remember, Stacia spent her whole life dancing so this was especially fun for her to see! This performance is only scheduled 1 time per day from 9-10am and this Balinese dance was strictly used only for ceremonies until they decided to share it with the public starting in 1990.
Next on our journey through Ubud Bali was to see the local artisans, Silver Making, Painting, and Wood Carving. We were not able to fit this into our video, but know if you take this tour with Bali Golden Tour you will visit these local artisans and their sales rooms. We then travelled a quick 10 minutes away to see Batuan Temple. This is the oldest Hindu Temple in Bali that is open to the public. Batuan Temple dates back to 1020 AD and is a large tourist destination in Ubud Bali Indonesia.
No guide to Ubud would be complete without visiting the Tegallalang Rice Terraces. We were hesitant to visit Tegallalang Rice Terraces in Ubud because we heard how touristy it would be, but the place was absolutely gorgeous! Although there were many tourists at the Tegallalang Rice Terraces, the space was so big that you had plenty of room to explore in peace. We highly recommend going as one of the best places in Ubud. We also visited an Ubud alternative called Sidemen about an hour northeast and saw gorgeous rice terraces there as well. Make sure you check out that video and tell us which one you would rather visit!
Last on the tour we had lunch at one of the best places in Bali, Mount Batur. The restaurant we ate at had an unobstructed view of the Bali Volcano and we were in awe of the beauty! Lunch was very good, there was a mixture of Indonesian food, Indian food, and Western food. After lunch, we took a 2 hour drive north through the center of Bali Indonesia to Lovina Beach in North Bali. We spent the night in a fantastic hotel right Lovina Beach and had an excellent dinner that was also kindly included in the tour.
Tune in next video to see what Day 2 of the best tour in Bali is like! We can tell you right now, it’s even better than Day 1. If you’re interested in just taking a bali day trip like the one you saw today, Bali Golden Tour also offers Day 1 separately for a bali day trip tour.
To be straight up with you guys, we received our 2 day tour tour free of charge. We had many tour companies to choose from who wanted us to film their tour, but we chose Bali Golden Tour because of their prompt customer service, thorough itinerary, and wonderful hospitality. After spending two days with them and their tour guides, we can genuinely recommend Bali Golden Tour to anyone looking to experience the best of Bali. Two thumbs up!
We hope you enjoyed our Bali travel advice and consider one of these bali customized tours from Bali Golden Tour if you’re interested in seeing the best things in Bali. Let us know if you have any questions about Day 1 in the comments and we will respond as soon as possible!

BALI'S HIDDEN GEMS - SECRET WATERFALL
Traveling with locals is always the best way to travel. In this case we were lucky to see the much less touristy side of Bali. Having our own private waterfall, watching the sunrise over Mt. Batur, this was a great day.

EXPLORING NORTH BALI PART 1 - 5 HIDDEN PARADISE #BaliGoLiveAdventure #BaliGoLiveDestination
North Bali has everything, from historical sites, breathtaking scenery to cultural attractions. North Bali consists mainly of the district of Buleleng.
Sheltered by the mountains that divide Bali from east to west. Due to this for a long time the northern region has been isolated from the rest of Bali. This accounts for the fact that North Bali still has its own, typical rites and customs. Also called ‘the other side paradise of Bali’, North Bali is an interesting destination for those who love authentic culture and pristine nature with tranquil, rural surroundings.

BALI’S MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE - Hidden Rice Field in Sidemen Village
We found Bali’s most beautiful place in a hidden rice field in Sidemen Village. Never heard of Sidemen Bali? Not surprised, as it’s one of the most hidden spots in Bali! At the foot of Mount Agung, Sidemen Village in North Bali boasts the best Bali rice fields without ANY tourists like Tegallalang or Jatiluwih. Watch this video to see a Bali hotel tour, drone shots of the Bali volcano and some of the most relaxing places in Bali you could ever imagine.
We were on the hunt for a Bali rice terrace that wasn’t crowded with tourists. We wanted to explore an undiscovered Bali that nobody has covered on Youtube yet. We found that in Sidemen Village. First we’ll share with you the best hotel in Bali that we’ve stayed in called Abian Ayu Villa. Overlooking Mount Agung, our Bali rice field villa had the most incredible views. After the room tour, it’s time to explore.
If you’re looking for an Ubud alternative, we highly suggest Sidemen as part of Bali not many have discovered yet. Without maps or pinned locations, we were able to find a local Bali village’s water system that irrigates the entire towns rice fields. We took a small hike to find a river running deep in the middle of the North Bali forest just waiting to be discovered.
Next up, what you’ve been waiting for: The best of Bali. One of the most hidden spots in Bali, the unnamed rice terraces we found in Sidemen Village were some of the most incredible sights we’ve seen so far on our travels throughout South East Asia. If this isn’t Bali’s most beautiful place, we don’t know what is. Similar to the hotel, the rice terraces overlook Mount Agung and you are set in a rural Balinese village with the only inhabitants being local workers and the occasional chicken. We thought this was so much more special than trying to travel Bali based off popular blog posts and tourist locations. There is something really amazing about discovering a place that is off the beaten place. The real Bali.
Although Sidemen Village is still a part of undiscovered Bali, we’re confident that it won’t be hidden for long. You can still travel to Sidemen Bali and see the local life, experience incredible scenery, and have the place practically all to yourself. We think that Sidemen village should be on your list of top places in Bali if you’re an adventure seeker and enjoy spots that are off the beaten path. Don’t worry, Sidemen still has wifi and a few infinity pools because, hey, you’re still on vacation right? ;)
Let us know if this hidden rice field in Bali would make your Bali most beautiful places list! We can recommend both the area and the hotel to you guys 100%. Make sure to check out Sidemen Bali, as we don’t think it will be a part of Bali secret places for long. Make sure to subscribe for more videos in Bali Indonesia and we would love to hear your plans to travel Bali down below in the comments.

TOP PLACES IN UBUD | SECRET WATERFALLS | BALI
It's our last place in Bali and we will be ending our trip in the famous place of Ubud. This is was a little cooler than the rest of the areas we went to and there were rice farming everywhere. We came down from the Gili islands and settled in an amazing hotel with a roof top swimming pool.
The hotel provided us with bike for a day. The next day we took our bike and went on a tour over Ubud. The first place we went to was the famous tegalalang rice terraces and it was so green and lush with the swings, well u will enjoy the whole Trek up and down ( there are alot of steps ) . After a light lunch overlooking the rice terraces we went ahead and went to the campuhan ridge walk and oh my God ! It was just the best of mother earth ever seen, the greenery is breathtaking. During the evening we where to the cutest monkey forest. Looking at our ancestors, I felt like staying with them for the night but the closing time is 6 so please reach before hand for a better experience.
The last day in Bali we booked a car and went towards the hills, north Bali for the waterfalls. First stopping at the Handara Golf course for a photoshoot. Then, We were on our way to the waterfall and it started raining . But that didn't stop us from recahing it , we went to the Padang Bulia waterfalls and while coming back also waded through the clouds. Let me tell you that the lunch that day was epic , sitting literally inside the clouds and eating. We then went to the famous Ulun Dani Temple, also did a round in the boats for the best of the temple. While coming back we also went along to the tegungun waterfalls. Let me tell you, Bali is a place for waterfalls, forests, clouds, beaches and amazing sunsets, it's just the place which u will never want to leave. But until next time, we will be back......
