Child Prostitution - South Africa's Young Street Walkers

At the busy street corner in downtown Pretoria, Elize looks for her clients, men from all walks of life looking for sex with a child. She says she is 16, but sells herself to men as a 14 year old. I know it is a sin but what else can I do? I am doing it for a living. Elize and her 14 yr old sister are drug addicts and have unprotected sex with customers every day. For virtually all the children, drugs and prostitution go hand in hand. We use drugs to forget about the past, says Elize. Lots of mothers let their daughters go out and do this so they can get money for drugs says another. Organisations like the Teddybear clinic try and find a Place of safety for girls such as Elize, but the problem is the girls do not stay. Luke Lampbrecht from the Teddybear foundation believes the government is failing to address the heart of the problem: They come from situations of severe abuse and their only way out is to sell their bodies. What does that say about our society?

District Six Museum
In the museum you can see a map of the area, where they had been moved all the second-class people, pictures of their houses and streets.
District Six was as a memorial to the forced movement of 60,000 inhabitants of various races in District Six during Apartheid in South Africa.
The museum also presented the development plan of the area, which would help still living here people to improve living conditions and, at the same time, preserve the unique identity of this part of Cape Town. By the way, the famous natives of these areas yavlyayutsyatsya: famous jazz musician of world renown, Abdullah Ibrahim and artist Mark Dollard.
Grand Parade and City Hall
Cape Town’s City Hall was built in 1905 in Italian Renaissance style, and is one of the last Victorian-style sandstone structures in the Mother City. Despite showing its age, Cape Town’s iconic City Hall continues to be sought out by urban explorers.
Upon entering, beautiful mosaic floors lead to a marble staircase, which guides visitors upwards to vintage stained glass and a 3 165-pipe organ. Its classical, Darling Street facade, and an impressive half-size replica of London’s Big Ben, are also a source of fascination to visitors, particularly those who have been to London.
Bo-Kaap - it's a terrific place, which certainly can be called a true multinational and cultural center of Cape Town. In addition, Bo-Kaap is a historical monument of Malay culture. During the quarter, there is always something to see. For example, the magnificent Mosque Nurul Islam, the construction of which dates back to 1844, or on the incomparable museum, built in 1760, which is almost completely preserve the original design and is a high level of culture of the early settlers of the Muslim. The entire interior of the museum is designed in stile19 century.
Bo-Kaap - this amazing and stunning place, hidden from the hustle and bustle. Its colorful houses, painted in a variety of colors, cozy cobbled streets and beautiful neighborhood with magnificent mountains create a fantastic atmosphere, which just drunk from the first seconds of your stay in the neighborhood Bo-Kaap.
Table Mountain
In Cape Town you can hear the legend: that the Creator, admiring his creation, touched the ground, and in this place formed a flat area. So there was Table Mountain - a place where the sun shines during the day always, and at night the stars are visible, so that it seems to them, you can reach out a hand.
Table Mountain in Cape Town, so called because that is similar to the table: the top of her not sharp and flat. The mountain is surrounded by steep cliffs almost - Devil's Peak and Lion's Head. It is huge, majestic and languid Kuta in clouds like a queen in a fur coat. Sometimes clouds descend or ascend in a way that turned into tablecloth hanging off the table.

Napoleon and Jane Austen were the first to celebrate the wines of Constantia around the world, and now Dan joins the bandwagon, with Steenberg's Cap Classiqu a Klein Constantia sauvignon blanc made with some French assistance, the Christine blend from Buitenverwachting, and High Constantia's Sebastiaan.
The Cape West Coast - Our First Impressions
Episode 24: The Cape West Coast is one of the hidden gems of the Western Cape. Ordinarily, this region is known for its coastline, however, as Jill and I discovered, there is a whole lot more to this part of South Africa than meets the eye.
During our first leg of our Cape West Coast tour we visited the West Coast National Park - a reserve most famous for its flowers in the winter time. We also stopped by at the Khwa Ttu Cultural Centre to get a taste of SAN culture and the way of life of the original inhabitants of Southern Africa. Finally we made our way over to Thali Thali Game Reserve where we took part in some archery.

Wijnlands Auto Museum - Cape Town - South Africa
The Wijnland Auto Museum displays South Africa’s largest collection of classic and vintage automobiles. Whilst this is a dream come true for automobile fanatics, it is also well worth a visit for those who are not. Clearly the car museum is a delight. Cars spill out onto the lawn and under shade cloth, and the array of virtual rust buckets is incredibly endearing to those for whom a shiny restored rendition holds absolutely no appeal. There are, of course, also those fine examples that have been gloriously restored and the museum’s floor is a veritable ‘who’s who’ in the world of vintage cars.

Radio Diaries: 4 Robben Island 1964 1976
Mandela: An Audio History is an audio documentary on the struggle against apartheid through the intimate accounts of Nelson Mandela, as well as those who fought with him, and against him. The series weaves together first person interviews from the people on the front lines of history and dozens of rare archival recordings. These audio artefacts bring us into the courtroom on the day Mandela was sentenced to life in prison in 1964 and take us inside Robben Island during a Mandela family visit, a secret recording saved for more than two decades by a prison guard. Government propaganda films and pirate radio broadcasts from the ANC help to recreate the time and place that saw this extraordinary history unfold.
The series has been broadcast around the world, reaching more than 50 million listeners.
In the process of documenting this history, Radio Diaries recorded more than 100 hours of first person interviews. Today, these broadcast quality recordings represent some of the most in depth, detailed, and personal accounts of the struggle against apartheid.
“The Nelson Mandela Foundation will preserve and make this oral history archives available for scholars and researchers. I’m delighted that we can bring these stories alive for our 8 million followers on Facebook,” said Sello Hatang, CEO of the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
Cypress Cove Nudist Resort - RTL German Television Segment
RTL German Television Video 2018:
ENGLISH (basic translation):
Sunscreen is the accessory of the day – and frankly, for most it’s the only one! We are in Cypress Cove Nudist Resort in Kissimmee. Several times a year there’s an “Open House” day, and today Liam and Meghan are trying the resort as new nudists. The audience is mixed—from policemen to plumbers. Not everyone tells where and how they spend their leisure time, but most here deal openly with it and have no problem being filmed.
Jimbo and Christie Torres, a garbage man and insurance clerk, say, “We tell our children, neighbors, and our parents. Only our children think we are weird.”
Cypress Cove has been around since the 1960s. Nearly 400 nude fans live here permanently; this includes lots of campers and day visitors. Only in the pool area must you be naked. In the remaining areas, it is up to you. You should always have a towel with you, though. We ask a German woman who has been employed here for almost 10 years how she works it out as a non-nudist working among all the naked people...
Liam and Meghan O'Donnell, a housekeeper and a US soldier, are new nudists and are here for the second time. They live four hours from the resort and are a very spontaneous and adventurous couples. Eleven days after getting to know each other, they got engaged and then they married 54 days later!
Meghan and Liam tell us: “My parents are very conservative. They did not understand what this is about but as we told them, they just said ‘Well, then do it!’ My friends said ‘What? That's cool! Take us with you!’”
Being out of their clothes is something unusual, but the two prove to be courageous!
All employees at Cypress Cove wear clothes, except those who maintain the gardens outside in the heat. The beauty salon is busy. People who have nothing on want at least for their hair and their fingernails to look nice. Most of them have very healthy self-confidence.
Angela Hadley, a school employee, says, “My confidence has become stronger. And I do not feel the pressure of society here. And the nudists I meet here do not try with their jewelry, car, or profession to impress me.”
Liam and Meghan also seem to feel fine without any clothes. The 21-year-old and the 26-year-old have booked a night’s stay here. However, they agreed that if they felt uncomfortable, they would leave. But it seems to be going well.
Liam and Meghan O ' Donnell, the new nudists, say, “100% feels good? This time yes, but on the first visit that was not the case. I covered myself with a towel and took care not to stoop, but not this time. This time, I have no more feeling of tightness in my chest. I go around here freely and immediately wanted to go in the pool.”
And what is a common beginner’s mistake? What makes for awkward moments?
Al Kross, a bartender, says, “Sometimes, you see people who point the finger at others: ‘Oh my god! Oh, god!’ It does not do well to point fingers at somebody.”
At Cypress Cove, singles and families are welcome. There are not many rules, but the few we follow are strict: don’t sit anywhere without a towel; do not take pictures of people; and do not soap each other.
Peter Sewall, general manager of Cypress Cove, says, “With us, you just keep eye contact and stand at a comfortable distance. You should do what is normally appropriate when you get to know someone new.”
Liam and Meghan like what they see. The resort is not a quirky, hippie commune but rather very modern with many recreational activities. They want to come back. Even if her nude excursion was different than they imagined.
Liam and Meghan say that they had different expectations: “He was looking for a sexy adventure,” but she was not. “I like it how it is—children, people with their dogs.” He wanted something more exciting.
Well, Liam was probably coming up a bit short today. However, a kiss for his wife is here at the end of our shoot!
