Contact to plan your next vacation.
Visit the Olympic Museum. There are four venues (several still in use). It was at the Lake Placid Olympic Center, in 1980, that the US men's hockey team toppled the Soviet Union on its way to winning the gold medal. This is where 16-year-old figure skater Sonja Henie won an Olympic gold medal in 1932 and charmed the world. At the Olympic Jumping Complex, take the elevator to the observation deck of the K-120 meter jump - and watch summer jumpers practice aerial moves into a swimming pool. Mountain bike, horseback or cross country ski on the world class Olympic Cross Country Biathlon Trails. At the Lake Placid Sliding Center, you can walk or ride the track where the world's best bobsled, luge and skeleton racers slide.

Figured that I should compile quick bits of things to do in that part of New York for folks keen on seeing beyond the city of New York. Enjoy!! Happy World Tourism Day (better late than never eh?)
