???????? Hiroshima, Japan - Amazing Travel Video (HD)
Visit to Hiroshima, Japan.
Hiroshima (広島市 Hiroshima-shi?) ( listen (help·info)) is the capital of Hiroshima Prefecture, and the largest city in the Chūgoku region of western Honshu, the largest island of Japan. It is best known as the first city in history to be destroyed by a nuclear weapon when the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) dropped an atomic bomb on it at 8:15 A.M. on August 6, 1945, near the end of World War II.[1] Its name 広島 means Wide Island.
Hiroshima gained city status on April 1, 1889. On April 1, 1980, Hiroshima became a designated city. The city's current mayor since April 2011 is Kazumi Matsui.

Shukkeien Gardens, Hiroshima, Japan
Shukkeien (縮景園) (pronounced shoe-K-N) is a historic Japanese garden in the city of Hiroshima, Japan.
Shukkeien's name can be translated into English as shrunken-scenery garden, which is also a good description of the garden itself. Valleys, mountains, and forests are represented in miniature in the garden's landscapes. Through carefully cultivated land and vegetation, the garden mimics a variety of natural formations and scenic views.
Shukkeien has a long history dating back to 1620, just after the completion of Hiroshima Castle. The garden displays many features of the traditional aesthetics of Japanese gardens. Around the garden's main pond there are a number of tea houses which offer visitors ideal views of the surrounding scenery.
It was a little overcast and rainy that weekend. I don't have the means to return at will, so I filmed the garden as is. It came out pretty well considering the drizzle and grey sky.
The pink flowers at the end are not cherry blossoms (Sakura), which blossom mid April... they are plum blossoms. Still very beautiful, and often mistaken for Cherry blossoms (Sakura) , however the distinguishing characteristic is the variety of pinks - some darker, some light. Cherry blossoms (Sakura) are a very light pink to white color.

Japan Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Dome
The Hiroshima Peace Memorial (広島平和記念碑 Hiroshima Heiwa Kinenhi), originally the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall, and now commonly called the Genbaku Dome, Atomic Bomb Dome or A-Bomb Dome (原爆ドーム Genbaku Dōmu), is part of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima, Japan and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.[1] The ruin of the hall serves as a memorial to the people who were killed in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on 6 August 1945. Over 70,000 people were killed instantly, and another 70,000 suffered fatal injuries from the radiation.

Adeyto ???? MIYAJIMA ???? ROPEWAY ????️ MOUNT MISEN TRAIL Itsukushima Island Hiroshima ????️ HUAWEI P20 PRO
Let's see how to get to the TWO consecutive Ropeways of Miyajima with the final stop leading to the holy Mt. Misen Summit.
The true value of Miyajima as one of the three most scenic views of Japan rests with the view from the mountaintop.
At 500 meters above sea level, Mount Misen (弥山) is the highest peak on Miyajima. On clear days, it affords spectacular views of the Seto Inland Sea and as far as Hiroshima City. There are also a number of Buddhist structures near the peak. A ropeway leads up the mountain from town, but it is also possible to climb up on foot.
There are three hiking trails leading up Misen: the Momijidani Course, the Daisho-in Course and the Omoto Course. Of the three, the Daisho-in Course offers the nicest views and is not as steep as the other two. The Momijidani Course, while the shortest, is also the steepest, leading mostly through the forest. Using any course, it takes 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the summit from town.

Walking Tour of the Hiroshima Peace Park IN A KIMONO!
I'm so happy I got the chance to make this video. Living in Hiroshima for the past 21 months has made this home for me. I love my city and I'll be very sad the day I have to move. The Peace Park is the heart of this city and it really a great place to visit. The best part is that they show the history and the pain caused by the event but the park is still a happy place to be. It's great in the spring as many people have hanami parties under the cherry blossoms.
I'm so lucky to have made such great friends in Hiroshima!
My friends at the Fujisei Yukata shop on Hondori (in the Sun Mall) gave me the chance to try out their new rental service! You can rent a kimono and get to explore Hiroshima or Miyajima!
It's really a great service and the shop and the staff know their craft well!
The shop is in the middle of the city, close to the Peace Park, Shukkei-en Gardens or the ferry to Miyajima!
The prices are listed below:
Trying it on (and receive a A5 size photo print) - 2500 yen
3 hours of exploring - 3800 yen
One day - 5000 yen
One day plus special offers and presents - 7000 yen
They are located on the first floor of the Sun Mall on Hondori (on the Peace Park side)
Even if you don't want to rent a kimono they are a great source for souvenirs in Hiroshima!
Follow them on Twitter at @fujisei_kimono and like them on Facebook! There phone number is 082-224-1662 (they aren't fluent in English but are very friendly and always find a way to make it work!)
Here is their website (Japanese only):
I'm going to try to make some more videos about Hiroshima soon!

Japan Travel: Laughter, Cherry Blossom, Samurai, History at Hiroshima Castle, Hiroshima 07 Moochan
Located slightly north from the downtown area of Hiroshima city, is Hiroshima Castle or Hiroshima-jo. The castle was built in 1589 by Mori Terumoto, a member of Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s council. Hiroshima Castle is a flatland castle.
The castle tower of Hiroshima Castle was designated as a National Treasure in 1931. However, the castle was destroyed by the atomic bomb. In 1958, the castle was rebuilt. Visitors today will see both the moat as well as the stone fortress traditionally seen at Japanese castles. The entire castle has been designated as a Historic Site.
Visitors are allowed into the castle for a nominal fee. The interior is now a museum displaying local culture as well as samurai history. The museum allows visitors to try on clothing from the past. Samurai armor, kimono for the ladies are available for those who wish to try them on as a special Hiroshima memory. The castle stairs are quite steep but those who do utilize them to arrive at the top floor of the castle are greeted with a beautiful view of the city.
Visitors may see joggers around the moat as Hiroshima Castle is a popular jogging course. Visitors may also see school students drawing the castle in their sketchbooks. In the spring, the grounds surrounding the castle are famous for cherry blossom picnic. And in the autumn, a “food festival” is held on the grounds surrounding the castle. Local vendors as well as from all over Japan serve mouthwatering dishes at the festival.
Hiroshima Castle held an important role in Hiroshima and its surrounding prefectures in Japanese history. Today, this important culture treasure is a place to laugh, enjoy and create new memories.
